Abstract

Sustainability concept often used by big companies to help them sustain through the uncertainty of industrial’s scene. This research aims to design a precise guideline of how to implement sustainability concept by considering economic, environment, and social aspect as the main components of sustainability. Lean, green, and agile manufacturing will represent each aspect and will be used as primary indicators to contrive the concept’s guideline. VIKOR analysis was used to assign enablers and barriers of each indicator. This research was conducted at PT. XYZ Tbk, one of the national leading company in producing timber products such as plywood, fiberboard, and blockboard. As a result, This research proposed several alternative strategies based on selected enablers and barriers. The selected enablers are employee involvement, core competency, people and information, resource efficiency, and the selected barriers are lack of knowledge about lean, high short-term cost, power shortage, and lack of awareness.

Abstract

The sugarcane industry is one of the industries that generated negatives impact on the environment. Therefore, it can be concluded that the sugarcane industry is not environmentally sustainable. The results of this research show that the use of electricity from bagasse cogeneration becomes the main contributor to all of damage categories. Meanwhile, the highest contribution to damage categories is human health with a total score of 59%. The results of this research are expected to reduce the environmental impact produced by PT. X so that PT. X will be more environmentally sustainable.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify industrial, trading and services land use to transport flow. The activities of industrial, trading and services have affected volume traffic. Knowledge about the effect of land use on transportation is needed for LSP in determining its business location. This study used proportional samples size to derive transport flow as result of activities in industrial, trading and services land use. Analysis used in this research was multiple regression analysis to perform transportation flow model. The result show that building area and number of employees significantly influence transportation flow within trading and services land use. For industrial land use, characteristics that more influence transportation flow are building area and number of delivery activities.

Abstract

Abstrak Objektif. Dunia memasuki revolusi industri 4.0 yang ditandai dengan era digitalisasi. Digitalisasi juga merambah ke ilmu perawatan mesin, salah satunya adalah dalam hal troubleshooting (TS). TS adalah serangkaian tindakan yang diperlukan untuk menangani kerusakan yang terjadi pada mesin. Permasalahan yang sering timbul pada TS adalah: teknisi belum tentu ada dilokasi setiap saat, buku manual TS suatu mesin masih berupa buku cetak yang berisiko : buku hilang, buku keselip, dan letak buku jauh dari lokasi kerusakan mesin. Riset ini berusaha mengatasi permasalahan ini dengan cara mengembangkan aplikasi yang disebut Sistem Informasi Troubleshooting Mesin Produksi (SITMEP). Metode. Metode penelitian untuk membuat SITMEP dikembangkan dengan cara mengintegrasikan beberapa ilmu seperti: Group Technology (GT) untuk membantu merancang arsitektur database SITMEP, database relasional untuk membangun sistem database SITMEP, dan bahasa Structured Query Language (SQL) untuk mempercepat pencarian cara TS yang tepat. Hasil. Sebagai hasil penelitian adalah arsitekstur SITMEP dalam bentuk Entity Relation Diagram (ERD). Atas dasar ERD ini dapat dikembangkan menjadi sistem basis data SITMEP. Selanjutnya dikembangkan statmen SQL untuk mempermudah proses pencarian TS komponen yang rusak. Dengan menggunakan database management system (DBMS) dan Ms.Access 2016. Kesimpulan. SITMEP dapat di tempatkan di website perusahaan yang menggunakannya. Aplikasi SITMEP diletakkan di web agar dapat diakses oleh siapa saja, kapan saja, dan dimana saja. Tools yang digunakan adalah Microsoft Acces beserta Visual Basic for Application (VBA) adapun langkah selanjutnya aplikasi dapat digunakan dan dikembangkan di banyak mesin industri. Abstrack Objective. The world entered the 4.0 industrial revolution marked by the era of digitalization. Digitalisation also extends to the science of machine maintenance, one of which is in terms of troubleshooting (TS). TS is a series of actions needed to deal with damage that occurs in the engine. Problems that often arise in the TS are: technicians are not necessarily in the location all the time, the TS manual of a machine is still a printed book at risk: books are missing, books are slipped, and the books are far from the location of damage to the machine. This research seeks to overcome this problem by developing an application called the Production Machine Troubleshooting Information System (SITMEP). Methods. The research method to create SITMEP was developed by integrating a number of sciences such as: Group Technology (GT) to help design the SITMEP database architecture, relational databases to build a SITMEP database system, and Structured Query Language (SQL) language to speed up the search for the right TS method. Results. As a result of the research is the architecture of SITMEP in the form of Entity Relations Diagram (ERD). On the basis of this ERD it can be developed into a SITMEP database system. Then the SQL statement was developed to simplify the process of finding TS damaged components. By using a database management system (DBMS) and Ms.Access 2016. Conclusion. SITMEP can be placed on the website of the company that uses it. The SITMEP application is placed on the web so that it can be accessed by anyone, anytime, and anywhere. The tools used are Microsoft Access along with Visual Basic for Application (VBA). As for the next step, the application can be used and developed in many industrial machines.

Abstract

PT. Pindad has a superior product, namely the 5.56 mm ammunition MU5-TJ. The product performance and quality, to be better, need changes in manufacturing processes and stricter quality control. In the MU5-TJ manufacturing process, defects in the cartridge significantly contribute to defective products, reaching 48.6%. This study aimed to evaluate the causes of the defects and improve the quality of the MU5-TJ cartridge production line. The method used in this study was Six Sigma-DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). The quality identification showed that the gauging process contributes to 67.8% of total defects in all production lines of cartridges. The critical factors were inspection methods and machine settings. Improvements were made by implementing auto-control every 15 minutes by the operators, setting the heading and necking, edge turning, and gauging machine speed. The improvements were shown to increase the sigma level from 3.24 to 3.45 and save the cost by IDR62.372.824,00.
