Abstract

Rice is a potential food crop to be developed in Purbalingga Regency, so it is necessary to know its competitiveness so that rice production can be increased. This study aims to (1) determine the competitiveness of rice farming in Purbalingga Regency, and (2) determine the impact of government policies on rice farming in Purbalingga Regency. It used the Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM) as the research method. The research sample was purposively selected from Bukateja Subdistrict because it is the region with the highest rice production in Purbalingga Regency. It used the data of rice farming collected in two seasons, such as MT I (rainy season) and MT II (dry season) with a total sample of 80 rice farmers. The analysis showed that rice farming in Purbalingga Regency in MT I (rainy season) and MT II (dry season) had good level of competitiveness because they had competitive advantages and comparative advantages. The impact of government policies on rice farming output and input for both tradeable and non-tradeable inputs are significant. The government also has applied protective rice farming input-output policy. Based on this research, it is suggested that there is subsidy to improve irrigation networks and subsidy to purchase of modern inputs (agricultural machinery) to increase rice productivity and raise the competitiveness of rice farming in Purbalingga Regency as well as the government needs to maintaining the rice import tariff policy, determining the basic price of rice, and providing input subsidies such as chemical fertilizer.

Abstract

Movement Indonesia's economy is supported by the micro, small, and medium enterprise sectors (SMEs). More than 97% of the national workforce is made up of SMEs, which account for about 61.07% of GDP. SMEs often face problems, such as limited market access, low capital, and low technology adoption. The use of technology in MSME marketing has a great opportunity to reach a wider market. Unfortunately, not many SMEs owners have implemented digital marketing, especially SMEs in rural areas. As in Cijati, Cimanggu, Cilacap Regency, the natural potential, processed products, and handicrafts produced by MSMEs have not been able to expand their market. produced by MSMEs have not been able to expand the market. Therefore, the socialization of utilization of digital media for the development of SMEs marketing in Cijati village was carried out to increase the understanding and ability of SMEs owners. village was conducted to increase the understanding and ability of SMEs players in the utilization of technology for digital marketing. This socialization was held on Sunday, April 9, 2023, at the Cijati, Cimanggu District, Cilacap Regency, attended by 25 SMEs owners. Participants were introduced to various digital platforms that can be used to market their products, such as social media (Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok) and e-commerce platforms (Shopee, Tokopedia, and TikTok Shop).

Abstract

Pemanfaatan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) yang ditanam di pekarangan rumah oleh masyarakat saat ini masih kurang optimal karena kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap pemanfaatan TOGA yang dapat bernilai ekonomi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan membantu masyarakat untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan TOGA dengan pengolahan minuman kesehatan kekinian agar dapat meningkatkan penghasilan rumah tangga bagi ibu-ibu PKK Desa Ploso. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang dimulai dari tahapan perencanaan untuk menyusun kegiatan yang akan dilakukan dalam pengabdian masyarakat di Desa Ploso, observasi, kemudian diskusi dengan peserta. Tahapan utama yakni pelaksanaan sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuatan minuman kesehatan kekinian yang berasal dari TOGA yang banyak ditanam warga seperti jahe, kunyit, bunga telang maupun tanaman rempah lainnya. Hasil kegiatan yang diukur melalui kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi dan pelatihan yang dilakukan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman serta keterampilan peserta dalam mengolah TOGA menjadi minuman herbal kekinian. Dengan meningkatnya minat peserta dalam mengembangkan minuman herbal sebagai produk bernilai jual, diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat menjadi awal bagi pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat Desa Ploso melalui pemanfaatan TOGA secara optimal.
