Abstract

Karangreja Sub-District is a potato-producing area. One of the producing areas is in Serang Village. Potato production in the sub-district has fluctuated due to several factors, namely fertilizers, pesticides, land area, and labour. Fertilizers and pesticides do not affect potato production. Potato farmers in Serang Village collaborate with the company so that the amount and type of fertilizers and pesticides used are the same. The land area also does not affect potato production because the land used is always the same. Labour is a factor that needs to be investigated further. This study examines the distribution of housework among potato farmers in Serang Village, Karangreja Sub-District, Purbalingga Regency. The research focuses on three aspects: 1) the distribution of productive housework, 2) the distribution of reproductive housework, and 3) the distribution of social housework. A qualitative descriptive approach is used, and the sample consists of 35 potato farmers selected through simple random sampling. Data is collected through questionnaires, observations, and document analysis. The Moser approach and work time outlay are used for data analysis. The findings reveal that productive housework, such as land preparation, planting, and harvesting, is predominantly carried out by husbands. Reproductive housework, including cooking, cleaning, and childcare, is mainly performed by wives. Social housework varies between husbands and wives, such as participation in recitation activities and farmer group meetings. The study contributes to understanding potato farmers' division of labour and housework.

Abstract

Department of Agricultural Processing Products is one of the departments at SMKN 1 Pakis Aji Jepara which prioritizes practice as well as theory. Students of the Department of Agricultural Processing Products are not only intended to work directly but are also encouraged to continue their higher education on campus. The lack of information on the campus world, especially in a field that is linear with the Department of Agribusiness of Agricultural Processing Products, namely agriculture, makes it less difficult for students to know the real campus world. Moreover, the teachers of SMKN 1 Pakis Aji Jepara have not been able to explain the campus world in detail due to the limited time focused on teaching the material. Therefore, a community service activity was carried out by Agricultural Campus Lecturers from Muria Kudus University, Muhammadiyah Purwokerto University and Muhammadiyah Tegal University in the form of counseling about the world of agricultural campuses to students of SMKN 1 Pakis Aji Jepara. The counseling techniques carried out are by presenting materials, introducing the campus world with videos and discussions. The activity was carried out with a presentation about the campus world, especially the agricultural campus with material on how to choose an agricultural campus, how to register on an agricultural campus, campus life, campus organizations, what to do when studying at an agricultural campus, agricultural campus majors that can be chosen according to the interests of the major, scholarships on the agricultural campus and so on. The counseling was carried out in the Multipurpose Room of SMKN 1 Pakis Aji Jepara with the number of counseling participants of 56 students majoring in Agricultural Processing Products of SMKN 1 Pakis Aji Jepara

Abstract

Abstract

Pedak Village in Sulang District, Rembang Regency, is a village that produces the most agricultural commodities in the form of siwalan. This village is even nicknamed 1000 Bogor (siwalan). The siwalan tree produces sap that can be used as raw material for siwalan sugar. The community can produce 2,200 kg of siwalan sugar every day. The abundant production of siwalan sugar is still marketed conventionally by selling it to siwalan sugar collectors. However, collectors have not been able to accommodate all of the residents' siwalan production. In addition, the price of siwalan sugar sold to collectors is relatively low, IDR 18,000.00 per kg, even though the cost of siwalan sugar at the consumer level is IDR 27,000.00 - IDR 30,000.00 per kg. This relatively large price margin allows siwalan sugar artisans in Pedak Village to get optimal profits, so the Muria Kudus University Development Service Team took the initiative to introduce a marketing method for siwalan sugar so that the price margin sold by artisans and the price purchased by consumers is not too far apart. Artisans can also sell siwalan sugar products to a broader market segment. The proper marketing method for siwalan sugar is partnership marketing. This method is introduced to the community through the counseling of ideas. The marketing partner formed is the BUMD. This institution is expected to be able to accommodate siwalan sugar as a typical souvenir from Pedak Village, especially for the "1000 Bogor Tourism, Pedak Village". BUMD can also participate in UMKM product exhibitions organised by the government and the private sector
