Abstract

Health promotion campaigns are an important strategy for increasing public awareness, knowledge, and behavioral change toward a healthy lifestyle. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of health promotion campaigns in increasing knowledge and changing healthy behaviors among the public. A quantitative method was used with a pretest-posttest design without a control group. A total of 150 respondents from three sub-districts were selected purposively. The results showed a significant increase in health knowledge (p<0.05) and behavioral changes such as handwashing, regular exercise, and nutritious food consumption. These findings indicate that health promotion campaigns are effective as a public education tool. It is recommended that campaigns be conducted sustainably and involve various media and local cultural approaches.

Abstract

Nutrition is very important in growth and development. Good nutritional status requires more attention because poor nutritional status in children will affect mental, physical growth or thinking abilities, of course, will reduce the level of productivity and ability in adulthood. The aim of this research is to determine the factors associated with the nutritional status of school- age children at SD Negeri 10 Benteng Sidrap Regency. Quantitative research method with a cross sectional study design. The sample consisted of 158 students at SD Negeri 10 Benteng. Data was collected using questionnaires and measurements of body weight and height. Data analysis used the Chi Square Test with a 95% confidence level. The results of this study show that there is a relationship between income with p value = 0.000, knowledge about nutrition with p value = 0.000, parents' education with p value = 0.000, parents' occupation with p value = 0.025, students' snack habits with p value = 0,000, with the student's nutritional status. The conclusion is that the factors that influence nutritional status are income, knowledge about nutritional status, parental education, parental occupation, parental characteristics and snack habits.

Abstract

This research aims to develop the values of integrity ​​through Entrepreneurship in fostering independent spirit and anti-corruption behavior in students of Serambi Mekkah University students Banda Aceh. The design of this study was carried out in two stages. In the first stage a survey was conducted on the methods and approaches used as input in developing Integrity learning methods by using Entrepreneurship approach involving students and lecturers. In the second stage, a trial was conducted on the development of Entrepreneurship learning in the field by involving students and lecturers. The research method used in this study was the approach (mix method). The population of this study was all students of Serambi Mekkah University consisting of 8 Faculties, approximately (2000 students), the author took 10% of the population to be sampled from 8 Faculties, consisting of 200 students. The results of the study found that not all study programs at Serambi Mekkah University applied Integrity and Entrepreneurship courses, integrity and entrepreneurship subject lecturers did not fit the background of their respective expertise.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of using the chain writing method on students' writing skills on analytical exposition texts in eleventh grade students of SMAIT As-Sakinah. The problem in this research is the students' difficulties in writing English texts. The formulation of the problem in this research is to determine the extent to which the use of the chain writing method influences students' writing of analytical exposition texts. This research is a quasi- experimental study using two classes; experimental class (XI Al-Qolam), taught using the chain writing method and control class (XI Az-Zuhruf), taught without using the chain writing method. 34 students make up the population, whereas 17 students make up the sample. Pre-test and post-test tests were two different sorts of tests used in data collection techniques. The data collected for this investigation were analyzed using the t-test, various tests to assess the degree of relevance of the research's findings. The experimental class's pre-test results revealed that the students' aptitude for writing analytical exposition text was low. 49.94 were the typical pre-test score. The average post-test score was 78.82 after treatment, and the t-test table had a magnitude of Ha: 0.000, indicating that chain writing is successful in instructing students to write analytical exposition texts. According to the research's findings, students at SMAIT As-Sakinah Sebauk in Tanjungpinang's eleventh grade are much less able to compose analytical exposition texts when they employ the chain writing method.

Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension remains one of the most prevalent public health issues globally, demanding not only curative but also preventive and promotive strategies. Community-based health promotion programs have emerged as a vital approach to increasing awareness, literacy, and behavioral change to prevent hypertension. Methods: This study employed a qualitative method through a systematic literature review of national and international publications from 2020 to 2025. The selected sources were analyzed thematically to identify social dynamics, intervention models, and determinants of program success. Data analysis involved reduction, display, and interpretation to construct a conceptual model explaining how community-based promotion enhances prevention literacy. Results: The findings indicate that the effectiveness of community-based programs depends on active participation, leadership, resource availability, and integration with primary health services. Empowerment-based education improved knowledge, modified risky behavior, and strengthened cooperation between communities and health workers. The use of digital technologies, such as mobile health applications and social media, expands educational outreach and engagement. Conclusion: Community-based health promotion is a transformative strategy for building awareness, empowerment, and self-reliance in hypertension prevention. Cross-sector collaboration and technology-driven innovation are essential to achieving sustainable outcomes. It is recommended that policymakers and health practitioners strengthen digital literacy, allocate continuous funding, and institutionalize participatory community programs to ensure long-term impact.

Abstract

The study aimed to examine the influence of English communication skills on career readiness among hospitality management students, as well as the moderating role of Project-Based Learning (PJBL) in this relationship. The population in this study consisted of higher education students at Universitas Negeri Padang. Data collected from 108 valid respondents were analyzed using statistical tests, including correlation and moderation regression analysis. The findings revealed that English communication skills positively and significantly influence career readiness among hospitality management students. Furthermore, the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PJBL) was found to have a significant moderating effect on the relationship between English communication skill and career readiness. However, the interaction effect was negative, indicating that a higher level of Project-Based Learning (PJBL) implementation slightly weakens the direct influence of English communication skills on students’ career readiness. These findings provide several important theoretical and practical implications for enhancing students’ career readiness in higher education, emphasizing the integration of communicative competence and experiential learning through Project-Based Learning (PJBL).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran STEAM terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar IPAS peserta didik di UPT SPF SD Inpres Cambaya I Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan  jenis penelitian eksperimen yang dilakukan dalam bentuk quasi eksperimental design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas IV-A sebanyak 25 orang sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas IV-B sebanyak 29 orang sebagai kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik tes dan non-tes. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji-t (uji paired sample t-test) maka diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang belajar menggunakan pendekatan STEAM dengan mereka yang belajar menggunakan metode konvensional, (2) ada perbedaan yang signifikan dalam hasil belajar antara peserta didik yang belajar dengan pendekatan STEAM dan metode pembelajaran konvensional, dan (3) berdasarkan hasil analisis multivariate test pendekatan STEAM tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, tetapi juga berperan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar secara bersamaan. Demikian juga secara bersamaan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar IPAS, terjadi peningkatan secara signifikan, ditunjukkan oleh skor tes pada posttest. Pendekatan  pembelajaran STEAM efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar IPAS peserta didik UPT SPF SD Inpres Cambaya I Kota Makassar. Pendekatan STEAM tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, tetapi juga berperan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar secara bersamaan. This research aims to determine the effect of the STEAM learning approach on students' critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes at UPT SPF SD Inpres Cambaya I Makassar. The research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental research type conducted in the form of a quasi-experimental design. The sample in this study consisted of 25 students in class IV-A as the experimental group and 29 students in class IV-B as the control group. Data collection techniques in this research were test and non-test techniques. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the t-test analysis (paired sample t-test), the following conclusions were drawn: (1) there is a significant difference between students' critical thinking skills who learn using the STEAM approach and those who learn using conventional methods, (2) there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between students learning with the STEAM approach and conventional learning methods, and (3) based on multivariate test analysis, the STEAM approach not only improves critical thinking skills but also plays a role in simultaneously improving learning outcomes. Simultaneously, the posttest scores demonstrated that critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes increased significantly. The STEAM learning approach effectively improves critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes of students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Cambaya I Makassar. The STEAM approach not only enhances critical thinking skills but also plays a role in simultaneously improving learning outcomes.

Abstract

The application of students to institutional management is one of the needs to improve the quality of education. The lack of school facilities and infrastructure is the main obstacle in effective student management. This research aims to determine the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of student management programs. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques: observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects are the principal, teachers and students of MTsN Cot Gue. The results of the study show that: the student management plan prepared by the principal with the vice head of students and vice head of curriculum includes Admission courses, new student capacity, and the new student selection process, analyzing subjects, compiling annual programs, semester programs, syllabus and Learning Program Plans. All plans are drafted, drafted and documented. The implementation is adjusted to the student management plan prepared, both in relation to new admissions and student activities. Supervision of student management based on a management system, namely looking for every activity that has been planned, carried out and well supervised. Principals and teachers to supervise the implementation of student management. Both the principal and the teacher carry out roles and responsibilities based on the duties and functions for the management of student success. Activities and aspects of student assessment management based on the plan prepared. Evaluations are carried out to see the success and improve the activities that have been carried out.
