Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Adolescent girls are the most at-risk groups for anemia. The latest data stated that anemia prevalence of reproductive-age women in Indonesia is 30,6%, higher than the global prevalence. Food intake is one of many factors that contribute to this condition. The average food diversity of these young girls is still not reach the recommended nine food groups yet. Therefore, a school-scope education is essential to gain student’s awareness about anemia and food diversity.Objective: This study aims to analyze the impact of educational video about anemia on students’ knowledge, attitudes food diversity at SMP Negeri 86 Jakarta.Methods: This research had quasi-experimental method with one group pre-post design and included 54 junior high girls selected with simple random sampling. The analytical tests used to see the pre-post score difference of knowledge and food diversity were Paired Sample T-Test, and Wilcoxon Signed Rank for attitude score.Results: Educational video affected significant escalation in subject’s knowledge and attitude about anemia, yet none for food diversity. Statistical score for each variables were p-value = 0,000 for knowledge, p-value = 0,000 for attitude, and p-value = 0,177 for food diversity.Conclusion: This research concluded that educational video was effective in gaining students knowledge and attitude about anemia.Keywords : adolescent girls; anemia; behaviour; food diversity; video  ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Remaja putri adalah golongan yang paling mudah terkena anemia. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan prevalensi anemia WUS di Indonesia berada pada angka 30,6%, lebih tinggi dari angka anemia global. Asupan makanan adalah salah satu yang berkontribusi dalam timbulnya angka ini. Di sisi lain, tingkat keragaman makanan remaja putri juga belum optimal untuk memenuhi kelengkapan berbagai jenis golongan makanan. Maka dari itu, diperlukan edukasi gizi pentingnya pencegahan anemia dengan konsumsi makanan beragam. Media video mendukung edukasi gizi karena bersifat audiovisual sehingga mempermudah penerimaan remaja terhadap informasi yang disampaikan.Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh edukasi anemia melalui media video terhadap pengetahuan, sikap, serta keberagaman konsumsi makanan remaja putri di SMP Negeri 86 Jakarta.Metode: Penelitian ini bersifat quasi experimental dengan desain one group pre-test dan post-test serta melibatkan 54 sampel remaja putri yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis data pengetahuan dan keragaman makanan menggunakan Paired Sample T-test, sedangkan sikap menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Rank.Hasil: Media video meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap remaja putri mengenai anemia, namun pada keragaman konsumsi, tidak terdapat perubahan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan nilai p-value = 0,000 untuk pengetahuan dan sikap, serta p-value = 0,177 untuk keragaman makanan.Simpulan: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media video efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap remaja putri mengenai anemia.Kata Kunci : anemia; keberagaman; makanan; remaja putri; video

Abstract

Factors influencing stunting is complementary feeding practices which related to dietary diversity. Dietary Diversity has been documented as an indicator of adequate intake and associated with nutritional status. Nutrition education are needed to provide information through increase the knowledge, attitude, and feeding practices. Emotional demonstration (EMO-DEMO) as a participatory intervention approach in conveying information has become a purpose of the study to see the effect of intervention in Langensari Village, Banten. Pre-experimental with one group pre-post-test was a design of this study. The sample of respondent was 50 mothers who had a children aged 6-59 months. Simple random sampling was a technical method in collecting sample. The Wilcoxon Rank test was used to see the effect of knowledge, attitudes and feeding practices before and after the intervention. The result showed that there were a significant difference on knowledge, attitude, and feeding practices before and after intervention (p=0.000). Dietary Diversity Scores as an indicator of feeding practices found that there was an increase in the median score. Before the intervention, only 3 food groups were consumed by the children and became 4 food groups after the intervention. Emo demo has an effect on changes in knowledge, attitudes, and behaviour. This approach not only provides health related information, but also evokes the respondent’s feelings and emotions. So that, emo demo was encouraging them to change the behaviour especially on feeding practices with using dietary diversity scores.

Abstract

Masalah gizi pada remaja yaitu kekurangan maupun kelebihan gizi, berpotensi meningkatkan risiko terkena penyakit infeksi dan degeneratif serta menurunkan produktivitas akibat ketidakseimbangan asupan energi. Faktor lingkungan, termasuk kondisi di sekolah, turut memengaruhi kebiasaan, pengetahuan gizi, dan pola sarapan, yang berperan penting dalam menentukan kecukupan energi harian siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan gizi dan kebiasaan sarapan dengan asupan energi pada siswa SMAN 81 Jakarta Timur. Menggunakan desain penelitian cross-sectional, sebanyak 75 siswa dipilih melalui teknik pengambilan sampel acak. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan metode recall makanan 2x24 jam yang harinya diambil pada hari kerja dan tidak berturut-turut untuk mengetahui asupan, serta kuesioner terstandar untuk mengukur pengetahuan gizi dan kebiasaan sarapan. Analisis menggunakan uji Chi-square menunjukkan hubungan signifikan antara pengetahuan gizi dan kebiasaan sarapan dengan tingkat asupan energi (p<0,001). Siswa dengan pengetahuan gizi yang tidak baik (<80%) memiliki risiko 26 kali lebih besar untuk mengalami asupan energi yang kurang dari AKG (<90%) dengan nilai p-value <0,001. Selain itu, siswa dengan kebiasaan sarapan yang tidak baik memiliki risiko 8 kali lebih besar untuk mengalami kurangnya asupan energi (p<0,001). Kurangnya pemahaman siswa tentang manfaat sarapan yang sesuai pedoman gizi menyebabkan mereka tidak memperoleh cukup energi. Informasi mengenai pemenuhan gizi yang diawali dengan kebiasaan sarapan yang sesuai gizi seimbang, memberikan pengaruh pada total asupan energi sehari. Oleh karena itu, pengetahuan gizi dan kebiasaan sarapan berhubungan dengan asupan energi harian remaja di sekolah.

Abstract

Stunting menjadi masalah gizi yang cukup serius di Banten, terlihat dari masuknya Kabupaten Lebak dan Pandeglang dalam kategori 160 kabupaten/kota prioritas penurunan stunting di Indonesia. Adanya program khusus upaya penanganan stunting dari tingkat Provinsi sampai ke tingkat desa melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat yang belum dievaluasi. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan evaluasi dari integrasi program khusus penanganan stunting melalui pembentukan Kader Pembangunan Manusia (KPM) di Kabupaten Lebak dan Pandeglang. Penelitian kualitatif eksplorasi menjadi desain pada penelitian ini dengan Informan yakni Kader Pembangunan Manusia dan Pendamping Desa/Pendamping Lokal Desa.  Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling.  Data yang dikumpulkan adalah hasil rekaman wawancara, studi dokumentasi dan catatan pribadi selama proses pengumpulan data di lapangan, juga selama membaca transkrip.  Pengumpulan data menggunakan form checklist, wawancara mendalam (Indepth Interview), serta kelompok diskusi terpimpin (Focus Group Discussion). Gambaran hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan pelaksanaan penanganan stunting di Kabupaten Pandeglang dan Lebak telah sampai pada tahap moblisasi KPM. Setiap desa telah memiliki  KPM yang membantu pelaksanaan program penanganan stunting sampai di tingkat desa. Namun, masih ditemukan KPM yang belum memenuhi persyaratan. Pelatihan KPM telah dilaksanakan di bawah tanggung jawab DPMD dengan melibatkan beberapa OPD. Masih diperlukan pelatihan dan pendampingan KPM agar pelaksanaan program penanganan stunting di desa berjalan sesuai dengan target

Abstract

Background: One approach to preventing stunting is the provision of supplemental feeding (PMT). Tongkol fish bones are an underutilized waste product. An innovation in utilizing fish bone waste involves processing it into flour for inclusion in tempeh nugget formulations. Objectives: This study aims to develop a protein- and calcium-rich food source to support stunting prevention efforts among toddlers. Methods: This study employed an experimental design with quantitative analysis. A completely randomized design (CRD) was used with four factorial treatments and two replications. The ratios of Tongkol fish bone meal to wheat flour were 0:20 g, 5:15 g, 7:13 g, and 9:11 g. Chemical analysis was conducted to evaluate the nutritional content of tempeh nuggets, while organoleptic testing was employed to identify the optimal tempeh nugget formulation. Results: The selected formulation (F1, 25%) provided 84.8 kcal energy, 6 g protein, 4.15 g fat, 7.66 g carbohydrates, and 638.66 mg calcium per 100 g. A serving size of 7 pieces (50 g) contained 129 kcal energy, 6 g protein, 6 g fat, 11 g carbohydrates, and 292 mg calcium. Conclusions: Tempeh nuggets enriched with fish bone flour can be considered a viable source of protein and calcium, meeting nutritional claim thresholds.

Abstract

Anemia is a condition where the number of red blood cells or the level of hemoglobin is lower than normal. In Indonesia, the prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls remains quite high at 32%. Inadequate nutrient intake can disrupt red blood cell formation, particularly important nutrients such as protein, iron, vitamin C, and folic acid. This study aims to investigate the relationship between the intake of protein, iron, folic acid, vitamin C, and breakfast habits with the incidence of anemia among female adolescents in junior high school. This is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design, analyzed using Spearman correlation tests, conducted at SMPN 152 Jakarta with a sample size of 50 individuals. Data on protein, iron, folic acid, and vitamin C intake were obtained through 24-hour food recall interviews, breakfast habits were assessed via a questionnaire, and anemia data were collected through blood samples using a digital Hb checker. The analysis results indicate a relationship between protein intake (p = 0.000), iron intake (p = 0.000), folic acid intake (p = 0.030), vitamin C intake (p = 0.010) and the incidence of anemia, while no relationship was found between breakfast habits (p = 0.161) and anemia incidence. It is concluded that there is a correlation between protein intake, iron intake, folic acid intake, and vitamin C intake with anemia incidence at SMPN 152 Jakarta. The variable most strongly correlated with anemia incidence is iron intake with a value of (r = 0.640).
