Abstract

Background: A tranquillity and inclusive institution is everyone's hope as stated in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In era of industrial revolution 4.0, there were actually various problems due to technological advancements including cybercrime, human trafficking, violence, hoaxes, abuse, which ultimately created institutions that weren’t conducive. Indonesia is the second highest country in the case of cybercrime with a total of 90 million. Most cases of technological abuse occur in adolescence, whereas adolescents are the nation's successors who’re expected to be able to use technology wisely. Objective: To describe the technology utilization among students at STIKes Panti Rapih. Methods: Qualitative study with univariate analysis to find out the technology utilization in daily activity. 112 students of Nursing Diploma Degree Study Program that chosen randomly using the lottery system. Results: 55.4% of students rarely validated the correctness of information and 43.6% didn’t read information until completion, 40% had flaming, 21.8% harassment, 50.9% denigration and trickery, 12,7% impersonation, 32.8% outing, 35.5% exclusion, and 5.5% cyberstalking. Conclusion: Most students do not engage in meaningful misuse of the internet but almost half have not filtering information properly. Keywords: utilization, technology, students

Abstract

Elderly people in Kemiri, Gunung Kidul access health services when getting sick. Based on preliminary study, 200 elderly people haven’t received elderly posyandu services and cadres have not been able to provide health services for the elderly. The solution offered is initiate, accompany and supervise elderly posyandu, train cadres to organize elderly posyandu, and provide facility. Training and formation of elderly posyandu was carried out on Thursday, December 21, 2023. The pretest results showed that 48% of cadres didn’t have adequate knowledge to manage elderly posyandu. The material provided included Posyandu knowledge and the role of Posyandu cadres. The post-test showed that 58% of cadres had adequate knowledge to manage elderly posyandu with a good level of knowledge and 37% were very good. The next stage is mentoring stage by providing direct services to elderly and providing facilities to support the posyandu. From the evaluation results, it was concluded that there was an increase in knowledge from average value of 6.5 to 8.4, elderly posyandu services had been implemented with 5 tables, cadres were able to provide basic health check-up services. Suggestion: hamlet managers continue to collaborate with the Health Center Team to get support in implementing elderly posyandu

Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease and is still referred to as a silent killer because its symptoms are difficult to recognise and often there are no symptoms or no symptoms at all. Family support is one of the most important types of support with the aim of achieving optimal medication adherence. Family support can be provided in the form of emotional, appreciative, instrumental and informational support. This study aims to analyse the relationship between family support and adherence to taking medication in patients with hypertension at the Internal Medicine Poly of Santo Antonio Hospital Baturaja. This research is a type of quantitative research with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were 73 people with hypertension in the Internal Medicine Clinic of Santo Antonio Hospital. In this study, the sample was hypertensive patients in the Internal Medicine Clinic of Santo Antonio Hospital Baturaja using accidental sampling as many as 62 people according to the inclusion criteria. The instruments used in this study were the family support questionnaire and the Morisky Medication Adherence Scales-8 (MMAS-8) instrument. The results of this study obtained the distribution of family support for hypertensive patients at the Internal Medicine Clinic of Santo Antonio Hospital with good family support, namely 39 (62.9%) and a moderate level of compliance as many as 28 people (45.2%). The results of statistical analysis using the spearman test showed a significant relationship between family support and adherence to taking medication in patients with hypertension in the Internal Medicine Poly of Santo Antonio Hospital Baturaja (pvalue = 0.000). This study can be an input for nurses to be able to continue to educate hypertensive patients to continue taking medication regularly considering that family support can affect adherence to taking medication.
