Abstract

            This study aims to identify and describe the implementation of the Kostratani program at BPP Payakumbuh District, Lima Puluh Kota District, to analyze the achievements of the implementation of the Kostratani program at BPP Payakumbuh District, Lima Puluh Kota District. This research is a qualitative research with the type of case study research, carried out from August to December 2022. The selection of locations and informants was carried out purposively (intentionally). Data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis. From the research results it can be identified that the development of BPP Kostratani in BPP Payakumbuh District and the implementation of the functions and roles of BPP as a data center, center for the agricultural development movement, learning center are in accordance with the indicators in the Kostratani SOP. Meanwhile, BPP as an agribusiness consulting center and partnership network center has not been implemented according to the indicators in the Kostratani SOP. The implementation of Kostratani development at BPP Payakumbuh District has been supported by IPDMIP activities but has not yielded good results. BPP Payakumbuh Sub-District has only been able to implement four of the six BPP Kostratani indicators, the implementation of which has not been optimal because there is no commitment from implementers at the Kostrawil, Kostrada and Kostratani levels in the sub-district. The implementation of Kostratani has not been supported by resource capabilities in the form of human resources and facilities owned by BPP.  Keywords: Kostratani; BPP; Implementation. INTISARIPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan program Kostratani di BPP Kecamatan Payakumbuh Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota, untuk menganalisis capaian pelaksanaan implementasi program Kostratani di BPP  Kecamatan Payakumbuh Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus, dilaksanakan bulan Agustus sampai dengan Desember 2022. Pemilihan lokasi dan informan dilakukan secara purposive (sengaja). Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian dapat diidentifikasi bahwa pengembangan BPP Kostratani di BPP Kecamatan Payakumbuh dan pelaksanaan fungsi dan peran BPP sebagai pusat data, pusat gerakan pembangunan pertanian, pusat pembelajaran sudah sesuai indikator dalam SOP Kostratani. Sedangkan BPP sebagai pusat konsultasi agribisnis dan pusat jejaring kemitraaan belum dilaksanakan sesuai indikator dalam SOP Kostratani. Pelaksanaan pengembangan Kostratani di BPP Kecamatan Payakumbuh sudah di dukung oleh kegiatan IPDMIP tapi belum memberikan hasil yang baik. BPP Kecamatan Payakumbuh baru mampu melaksanakan empat dari enam indikator BPP Kostratani pelaksanaannya belum optimal karena tidak adanya komitmen dari implementor di tingkat Kostrawil, Kostrada dan Kostratani di kecamatan. Pelaksanaan Kostratani belum di dukung kemampuan sumberdaya berupa sumber daya manusia, dan fasilitas yang dimiliki oleh BPP. Kata Kunci : Kostratani; BPP; Implementasi.

Abstract

Increasing the capacity of Arabica coffee farmers in Sungai Penuh is an effort to increase the capacity of farmers through an extension approach, both in group training and individual training by government agricultural extension workers to improve technical skills in Arabica coffee cultivation, managerial and building partnership networks. For this reason, research was carried out which seeks to understand the role of agricultural extension in increasing the capacity of arabica coffee farmers in Sungai Penuh. This research is a qualitative research and categorized as descriptive research. The results of this study are the role of agricultural extension workers in increasing the capacity of arabica coffee farmers, both technical cultivation, managerial and partnership networking by coffee farmers in Sungai Penuh is in the medium category. The capacity of Arabica coffee farmers in Sungai Penuh, consisting of cultivation techniques, management and partnership networks. The lowest capacity is managerial and partnership, while the highest is cultivation technical capacity.INTISARIPeningkatan kapasitas petani kopi arabika di kota sungai penuh merupakan upaya peningkatan kemampuan petani melalui pendekatan penyuluhan baik anjang sana kelompok maupun anjang sana perorangan oleh penyuluh pertanian pemerintah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dalam hal teknis budidaya kopi arabika, manajerial dan membangun jejaring kemitraan. Untuk itu dilakukan penelitian yang berupaya untuk memahami peran penyuluhan pertanian dalam peningkatan Kapasitas  Petani Kopi Arabika di Kota Sungai Penuh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dan dikategorikan sebagai penelitian deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah peran penyuluh pertanian terhadap peningkatan kapasitas petani kopi arabika baik teknis budidaya, manajerial dan jejering kemitraan oleh petani kopi di Kota Sungai Penuh berada pada kategori sedang. Kapasitas petani kopi arabika di kota sungai penuh, terdiri dari teknis budidaya, manajerial dan jejaring kemitraan. Kapasitas paling rendah yaitu manajerial dan kemitraan, sedangkan yang paling tinggi adalah kapasitas teknis budidaya.

Abstract

Determining the level of caffeine in coffee grounds is very important so that people can consume coffee in a safe amount. Based on SNI 01-7152-2006 the permitted dose of caffeine is 50-150 mg/day. This study aims to describe the level of caffeine in local coffee powder originating from coffee powder SMEs in Pasaman Regency. Coffee powder samples were taken from the two largest coffee powder SMEs in Pasaman Regency, namely Matahari coffee powder SMEs and Gunpas coffee powder SMEs. The caffeine content obtained in this study will be compared with the standard caffeine content according to SNI 013542-2004 which is 0.45-2.00% and SNI 01-7152-2006 which is the maximum limit for caffeine consumption per day of 50-150 mg/day. The method used in this research is UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The results of the analysis of caffeine levels in four samples per 1 gram of coffee powder are sample A 6.878 mg; sample B 6.855mg; sample C 6,674mg; sample D 7,688mg. In one cup of coffee, 4 grams of coffee powder is used, so that the caffeine content of coffee powder circulating in Pasaman Regency is still safe for consumption per day. In percentage units of caffeine content, based on the four samples analyzed, sample A is 0.687%; sample B 0.685%; sample C 0.667%; sample D 0.768%. The coffee caffeine content produced is following with the requirements of SNI 01-3542-2004.

Abstract

Starch-based bioplastics are safe for the environment. One source of starch that can be used is durian seed flour and cassava flour. Bioplastics made from starch have several disadvantages, so they need to be supported. One material that can be used for support is microcrystalline cellulose (MCC). This study aimed to determine the effect of mixing of durian seeds starch with cassava starch on the characteristic of bioplastic supported by MCC. This study used a Completely Randomize Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% level. The treatment in this study was the mixing durian seeds starch with cassava starch (0%:100%, 20%:80%, 30%:70%, 40:60%, 50%:50%). The results showed that mixing durian seed starch with cassava starch significantly affected thickness and elongation. Based on the analysis of bioplastic characteristics, the best bioplastics were found in treatment E (addition of durian seed starch 50%: cassava starch 50%) with a thickness of 0.27 mm, tensile strength value of 7.17%, elongation of 0.13% and water absorption 91.46%.
