Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of psychological empowerment on work engagement with organizational commitment as a mediating variable. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data was collected from 99 employees of the Wera District Health Center, Bima Regency, taken from the entire population using a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using SmartPLS to test the relationship between the variables studied. The research results show that psychological empowerment positively and significantly affects work engagement. In addition, organizational commitment has been shown to mediate between work engagement and psychological empowerment. These findings indicate that employee psychological empowerment can increase work engagement and organizational commitment. This research shows that organizational leaders need to prioritize employee psychological empowerment as part of a strategy to increase work engagement. Training and development programs centered on psychological empowerment and organizational commitment can be effective interventions. The next research is to conduct a longitudinal study to observe how psychological empowerment impacts work engagement over time. Additionally, expanding the sample size and examining other factors that may influence work engagement could provide a more comprehensive understanding of these dynamics across various organizational contexts.

HIV/AIDS is a global health problem due to difficulty in spread detection. HIV spread is not visible directly, the symptoms will arise in 10-15 years. Adolescence is the period that is predicted as the highest exposure time in HIV. Self-management based on the mobile-phone app could be used to optimize the  adolescents’ protection ability in HIV/AIDS. This activity aims to improve adolescent soft skills on using cheap and effective mobile-phone apps to optimize adolescent productivity. Implementation methods are using online learning through video conference, focusing on the use of Self management applications: Smarter time on their activities and overview of HIV/AIDS. The results that they can understand the use of smarter time in time management and daily activity targets. Smarter time can be used as a reminder system. One of the recommended features is the focus mode that allows adolescents to manage the used apps in their mobile phones while being focused on activities without interruption of any other application activities especially social media. Abstract

Aims: This study aimed to assess the combined effects of telemonitoring and nurse-led collaborative care on self-management, medication adherence, QoL, and hospital readmission rates among HF patients in West Java, Indonesia. Methods: A randomized controlled trial (RCT) was conducted with 120 HF patients randomized into an intervention group (telemonitoring and nurse-led collaborative care) and a control group (standard education). The intervention included health education, telemonitoring of clinical parameters, and regular nurse follow-ups. The primary and secondary outcomes—hospital readmissions, self-management, medication adherence, and QoL—were measured using validated instruments. Data analysis was performed using multivariate regression and chi-square tests. Results: Participants in the intervention group demonstrated significant improvements in self-management (mean score increased from 62.4 to 78.3), medication adherence (mean core increased from 4.3 to 6.8), and QoL (mean score decreased from 51.8 to 38.4) compared to the control group (p < 0.001). Additionally, the 180-day hospital readmission rate was significantly lower in the intervention group (30.0%) compared to the control group (60.0%, p < 0.001). Telemonitoring and nurse-led care independently reduced the odds of readmission by 3.8 times (OR: 3.8, 95% CI: 1.9–7.4, p < 0.001). Conclusion This scalable and effective model for HF management highlights the importance of culturally tailored interventions in low- and middle-income countries, offering a practical approach to overcoming resource limitations.

Abstract

This research analyzes the national legal policy in dealing with illegal fishing in Indonesian jurisdiction, particularly through the sinking of perpetrator vessels in accordance with the perspective of national and conventional law. Illegal fishing is an offense that not only harms the country's economy but also has a significant impact on the marine ecosystem. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative method with a normative legal approach to evaluate the effectiveness of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries' (MMAF) ship sinking policy. The results show that this policy, although controversial, has a strong legal basis, both in the Fisheries Law and the 1982 Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). In addition, this policy is proven to reduce the number of illegal fishing cases in a certain period. This research also highlights the importance of preventive efforts and international diplomacy in reducing cross-border violations, so that this policy can run more effectively and sustainably. Strict law enforcement but still respecting the principle of justice is the main key to protecting Indonesia's marine resources. Abstract

Aims: Hospitalized patients with COVID-19 have been shown to experience high levels of anxiety, according to studies of their mental health, and yet these patients' states of mind have been shown to play a significant role in boosting the immune system during COVID-19 treatment. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation on anxiety in patients with COVID-19. Methods : The research method was a Quasi Experimental pre-test and post-test design with a control group.  The sampling technique was Convenience Sampling with 40 samples which were divided into 20 samples as intervention group and 20 people as control group. Progressive muscle relaxation of 20-30 minutes twice a day for 5 days was only given to the intervention group. A pre-test and post-test using the Fear of COVID-19 Scale (FCV-19S) were implemented to measure anxiety. Data was collected and analyzed using Paired Sample  T-test and ANCOVA. Results: showed a statistically significant change in anxiety levels from pre- to post-test for those in the intervention group, but no such change for those in the control group. The significance level for this test is 0.05, so the square root of the mean is 123,578 (F = 115,479) and the standard deviation is 0.000 (p 0.0001). In the intervention group, there is a statistically significant change in sleep quality scores between the pre- and post-test, while in the control group, there is no such change. Its square root is 112.118, its factor is 32.315, and its sign is 0.000 (p 0.05). Conclusions: The conclusion is that anxiety in patients with COVID-19 can be significantly reduced by administering progressive muscle relaxation.

Abstract

Effective self-care is essential for individuals with heart failure to maintain physical stability, prevent symptom progression, and detect early signs of clinical deterioration. Despite its importance, many patients experience difficulties in adhering to self-care behaviors. Previous studies have indicated that various factors—including educational background, depressive symptoms, digital health literacy, knowledge of heart failure, and social support—may influence self-care capacity. This study aims to examine the factors that contribute to self-care behaviors among heart failure patients. A quantitative approach was applied using a cross-sectional design. A total of 119 participants were recruited from a cardiac outpatient clinic using convenience sampling. Data collection instruments included demographic questionnaires, the Self-Care of Heart Failure Index (SCHFI), Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), eHealth Literacy Scale (eHEALS), Dutch Heart Failure Knowledge Scale (DHFKS), and the Medical Outcomes Study Social Support Survey (MOS-SSS). Pearson’s correlation was used for bivariate analysis, and linear regression was conducted for multivariate analysis. The findings indicated a significant relationship between depressive symptoms and self-care (p = 0.004, r = 0.259), and between eHealth literacy and self-care (p = 0.003, r = 0.267). No significant associations were observed between self-care and education level (p = 0.062), knowledge level (p = 0.399), or social support (p = 0.644). In summary, depressive symptoms and eHealth literacy were found to be significant predictors of self-care in individuals with heart failure. Among these, eHealth literacy had the greatest impact, highlighting the importance of digital competency in managing chronic conditions.
