Abstract

The low level of sustainability of the broiler farming related to the low business capacity of farmers. This condition causes sustainability were low at economic, ecological and social dimension. The study aims to analyze the level of sustainability of broiler farming on partnership pattern, and analyze the influence of capacity on the sustainability ts business. The study involved 247 broiler farmers in Sukabumi and Bogor Regency. The research was conducted from August to October 2018. Samples were determined by cluster random sampling technique with farmer clusters in two districts. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and inferencing with regression and correlation. The results show that siustanibility were low. The business capacity of broiler farmers were weak. The low level of business sustainability is supported by the weak ability of non-technical farmers. Economic sustainability is positively related to technical ability and entrepreneurship. Ecological sustainability has positively related to technical and managerial capabilities. Whereas social sustainability relates negatively to technical, managerial and entrepreneurial abilities. Enhancing technical capabilities is needed to support business sustainability. A significant relationship between technical capabilities, entrepreneurship, managerial and economic, ecological and social sustainability can be followed up by giving attention to these capabilities in the implementation of extension activities.

Abstract

Konsep industrialisasi pertanian perdesaan merupakan konsep pembangunan yang mencerminkan kesatuan industri pertanian yang terintegrasi dengan output berupa produk yang memiliki nilai tambah ekonomi yang besar. Tujuan penelitian adalah (1) Mendeskripsikan kegiatan agribisnis hortikultura pada subsektor hilir agribisnis hortikultura yang telah dilakukan petani (2) Menganalisis tingkat penerapan inovasi industrialisasi pertanian hortikultura pedesaan (3) Menganalisis pengaruh faktor kegiatan subsektor hilir dan penerapan industrialisasi pertanian pedesaan. Metode penelitian meliputi analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Populasi penelitian petani hortikultura sebanyak 30 responden yang dilakukan secara purposive pada kelompok Bakti Mandiri di Desa Sukajadi. Penentuan sampel dilakukan secara sensus terhadap 30 orang anggota kelompok Bakti Mandiri yang menjalankan agribisnis hortikultura. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling melalui wawancara dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif berupa persentase dan regresi berganda untuk menggambarkan kegiatan subsektor hilir, tingkat penerapan IPP dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pemasaran disusun oleh kelompok dengan penjualan langsung ke pedagang pengumpul, kemudian dijual kembali ke pengecer di pasar sentral. (2) Ciri inovasi penerapan industrialisasi pertanian pedesaan dengan pemanfaatan tempat, waktu dan kepemilikan pada fungsi pemasaran sudah berjalan dengan baik, sedangkan secara perubahan bentuk (pengolahan) belum terlaksana. (3) Dukungan penyuluhan berkontribusi dalam pelaksanaan industrialisasi pertanian pedesaan. Penerapan industrialisasi pertanian pedesaan dalam kondisi optimal terutama swadaya melalui ketua kelompok tani.

Abstract

Sheep farmers' knowledge of information technology is still low. This condition leads to low sheep productivity. The objectives are to find the responses of sheep farmers regarding the use of ChatGPT for searching information and analyze the influence of internal and external factors on the responses of sheep farmers, and formulate strategies to improve the response. The assessment design was one shot case study, with sampling technique using purposive sampling, with 30 respondents. The assessment will be carried out in Purwabakti Village, Pamijahan District from April to June 2023. Data processing used descriptive analysis to determine the response, multiple linear regression analysis to determine the influence of independent variables on farmer responses, and SWOT analysis to formulate strategies to improve farmer responses in Purwabakti Village. The results showed that sheep farmers in Purwabakti Village, had a good response about the used of ChatGPT for information search. Factors that influence farmers' responses include aged, non-formal education, raising livestock experienced, number of livestock ownership, quota expenditure, and internet access time. The strategy to increase farmers' response to search information with ChatGPT is to implement an aggressive strategy, namely by carrying out technology skills training and mentoring
