Abstract

The monitoring and water level controlling system is one sample of the simple industrial automation. Monitoring  and controlling SCADA based water level can make it easier to do observation and controlling real time. This research have to design system water level control using ultrasonic sensors and equipped with display interface on laptop. This research is an R&D research that starts from the phase of  problem identification,  desing, and  testing. Test results show good performance in accordance with the desired, where the water pump can be turned on when the water level at the reservoir reaches 10 cm and will be stopped automatically if the water level in tank reaches 70 cm. Monitoring and controlling water level can be done in real time on the laptop interface. So this system can be used as an alternative SCADA learning Media.

Abstract

This study aims to make a miniature Pico Hydro-Hydro Power Plant (PH-HPP) system with load variations.  The research method used in this research consists of the stages (1) identification of the problem, (2) design, (3) development and (4) application.  Based on the results of observations at the development stage, the number of revolutions using one nozzle was greater than 29%, namely 1080 rpm for one nozzle and 758 rpm for 2 nozzles.  The measured output voltage when using a 3 watt load is 142 VAC and the measured voltage when using a 100 watt load is 106 VAC.  The measured output voltage on the control panel is inversely proportional to the load given, and this is because the higher the wattage load on the lamp, the heavier the generator rotates so that the output voltage on the generator is getting smaller.

Abstract

Abstract The growth of the productive age population in Indonesia that is not matched by the availability of sufficient employment opportunities, causes an increase in unemployment. The government is promoting the entrepreneurship program as a solution to increasing unemployment. One entrepreneur that has good prospects is laying ducks. As a staple, demand for duck eggs on the market is relatively stable. This community partnership program aims to streamline the time to make shrimp head flour as the most important feed component in duck egg production. The process of making shrimp head flour made by Maros residents so far consists of 4 stages, namely: 1) Boiling shrimp heads, 2) Shrimp head drying, 3) Milling and 4) fineness. This community partnership program uses research and development methods. The results obtained from the implementation of this program are: 1) time efficiency from drying the shrimp head to making shrimp head flour from 2 days to 10 hours, 2) partners can operate the flour machine and utilizing technology, 3) shrimp flour production capacity increases due to shorter flour production time, 4) operating profit increased by Rp. 14,230 or 47.43% and net cash flow increased to Rp. 44,230 or 73.72% due to reduced feed costs. Keywords: Disk Mill, dry Home, Duck Farm,

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract— One strategy to improve the voltage profile is by placing optimal capacitors in the right locations in the distribution system. Installation of capacitors in distribution systems is carried out for several purposes such as: improving voltage regulation, improving power factor, reactive power compensation, increasing line capacity and reducing losses. The tolerance limit for permissible stress values is 0.95 to 1.05 per unit. In this research, power quality improvements will be carried out using capacitor banks at PT Semen Bosowa Maros. The repair process is simulated using the Genetic Algorithm (GA) method.  This method carries out several simulations, namely the power flow before and after installation of the capacitor bank, optimization of capacitor placement which is carried out three times with different bus candidates, to determine the location, number of capacitor capacities, and economic analysis. The selection of buses that experience voltage drops has been produced to improve the quality and voltage stability of the electrical system at PT Semen Bosowa Maros which provides a solution considering economic factors after installing the capacitor bank.

Abstract

Abstract

Every year, solar panels experience a decline in production, so it is necessary to evaluate the degradation and performance of multicrystalline silicon (mc-Si) solar panels in tropical climate conditions. This research uses SEAWARD PV 200 (Complete Kit) to measure solar panel output data, which is then analyzed using the translation method according to IEC 60891 Procedure 1 to determine Standard Test Conditions (STC). The translational results showed a solar panel degradation rate of ±1.16% per year. Performance evaluation using the linear regression method revealed that a tropical climate that increases the temperature of the solar panel increases the percentage of degradation, where every 1°C increase in temperature causes an increase in degradation of approximately ±0.15%.
