Abstract

Neonatal mortality rate (NMR) in Tegal Regency from 2015-2017 has contributed significantly to infant mortality, which is 70-81% and is ranked the 3rd largest in neonatal deaths in Central Java Province. One reason is the level of knowledge and handling of officers in the steps of Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness (IMNCI) in neonatal visits is still low. This study aims to simultaneously analyze the influence of IMNCI training on midwives' knowledge, attitudes, motivations and compliance of neonatal visit in Tegal Regency. This study used a quasi-experimental research design with a pretest-posttest design with a control group design, with a sample of 54 respondents namely 27 midwives as a control group and 27 midwives as an intervention group. The results showed a simultaneous difference in the intervention group between IMNCI training on knowledge, attitudes, motivation and compliance of midwife neonatal visit in Tegal Regency where the results of the Manova analysis showed a significance value of less than 0.05 (p = 0,000). The results of this study can be taken into consideration in taking the policy of the IMNCI program as one of the actions to increase the achievement of neonatal visits with IMNCI approach in an effort to reduce morbidity and infant mortality, especially in neonatal period.

Abstract

Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a collection of symptoms and infections that arise due to damage to the human immune system due to infection with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). The number of HIV patients at Panti Wilasa Hospital continues to increase from every year in 2018 the number is 150 HIV / AIDS patients. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the increase in CD4+ levels of HIV / AIDS patients receiving ARV therapy at Panti Wilasa Citarum and Dr. Cipto Hospitals Semarang. This research is a quantitative study, with a cross-sectional approach. The minimum sample of the study was 38 respondents using simple random sampling technique. Data analysis in this study using Multiple Logistic Regression. The results of the study, the most influential variables were clinical stage (p=0.000), and concomitant disease tuberculosis (p = 0.14) on the increase in CD4+ levels. The risk of HIV / AIDS transmission in Indonesia is the highest and until now, there is no cure for HIV. ARV therapy can inhibit the development of the HIV virus, giving ARVs is given if the CD4+ level is less than 500 cells / mm3, or there are other conditions in HIV patients. The importance of early awareness in ARV therapy for early initiation of ARVs is proven to be clinically beneficial, useful for prevention, increase life expectancy and reduce the incidence of HIV-related infections.

Abstract

Education is considered very important in increasing human cognitive, affective and psychomotor potential. However, there are still many people who do not have access to education, especially in Pemalang Regency. This happens because the community's economic condition is still weak, educational service facilities are minimal and geographical conditions are very far apart even though the Government has implemented 12 years of compulsory education. There is data on access to education through equality education for 4,277 students with only 54 tutors, so it is still very lacking. This has an impact on the low quality of learning outcomes. The aim of community service is to provide training or assistance to tutors in Pemalang Regency in implementing E-PKBM as distance learning for equality education. The methods used are lectures, discussions and training or mentoring. The data obtained was processed descriptively. The results of this training activity show that the tutor has gained an understanding of the role of E-PKBM in the learning process and the tutor has understood how to use existing E-PKBM features to make learning easier. The conclusion from this activity is that tutors can create distance learning by utilizing E-PKBM.

Methods: An observational analytic study with a cross sectional approach. The sample of this study was breast cancer patients in women of childbearing age in Indonesia using data from the 2016 Non-Communicable Disease Research. Data analysis used univariate analysis, bivariate analysis with Chi-Square test. Results: based on the results of multivariate analysis with logistic regression, there were 6 variables related to the incidence of breast cancer, namely age, family history of cancer exposure, menarche, parity, use of hormonal contraceptives and obesity.

Abstract

Anemia during pregnancy can lead to serious complications, such as bleeding and premature birth. The prevalence of anemia in Semarang in 2022 reached 15.4%, exceeding the WHO target. This study aims to analyze factors influencing the occurrence of anemia among pregnant women in Semarang in 2023. The study was conducted at five public health centers in Semarang with 183 pregnant women, consisting of 61 with anemia and 122 without anemia. Data were collected from January to July 2024, with analysis using Chi-Square and logistic regression tests. Significant factors associated with anemia included age (p=0.006), employment status (p=0.005), gravidity (p=0.047), ANC history (p=0.036), compliance with iron supplementation (p=0.003), tea/coffee consumption habits (p=0.024), iron intake from food (p=0.033), nutritional status (KEK) (p=0.041), and knowledge about anemia (p=0.009). Multivariate analysis showed that age (OR=3.09), employment status (OR=0.395), and KEK status (OR=2.99) were higher risks for anemia. Age, employment status, and nutritional status (KEK) are significant factors affecting anemia in pregnant women in Semarang, highlighting the importance of nutritional interventions and health education for pregnant women.

Abstract

Tambakrejo Village is one of the areas in Semarang City that is often affected by flooding, administratively it is included in Gayamsari District. Being in a coastal area with an elevation close to sea level means that the Tambakrejo District area has the risk of flooding and tidal problems, where tidal disasters have so far submerged more than 2.5 hectares of land with 25 residents' houses lost. Flood and tidal conditions directly or indirectly affect all aspects of people's lives. The impact of disasters results in damage to facilities and infrastructure, disruption of social activities, education and public health. If this continues, it is feared that it will increase community vulnerability and decline. The aim of the DPIK program is to increase community capacity to have the independent ability to adapt in facing potential disasters and other impacts of climate change, through the Smart and Disaster Resilient Village movement.
