Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran Matematika Sekolah Dasar (SD) dengan penguatan tahapan enaktif-ikonik-simbolik berbantuan serang-kaian pertanyaan produktif. Perangkat pembelajaran berupa Panduan Guru sebagai suple-men dalam mengembangkan rancangan pembelajaran tematik kompetensi dasar (KD) Ma-tematika kelas IV semester gasal. Penelitian ini telah menghasilkan Panduan Guru dengan perangkatnya, yaitu alat peraga sebagai representasi enaktif; media visual dalam bentuk po-werpoint sebagai representasi ikonik; lembar kegiatan peserta didik (LKPD) dan lembar tu-gas peserta didik (LTPD), serta kartu masalah (contextual problem). Produk yang telah di-hasilkan akan membantu guru dalam mengembangkan rancangan pembelajaran dalam im-plementasi Kurikulum 2013. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa produk penelitian be-rupa Suplemen Panduan Guru membantu guru dalam mengembangkan rancangan dan pe-laksanaan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan ilmiah. Abstract

Thisstudy was based on the results of learning innovation research conducted in Mathematics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Science, Semarang State University. The expected goal is to develop or acquire a learning model mathematics course on ICT-based Operations Research. This study was done in order to utilize computer technology (laptop) that was shared by almost all students of the Department of Mathematics in order to reduce the difficulty of students to perform calculations that are many and complex.Research was conducted at the Laboratory of MathematicsUnneswhich also becomes the avenue of this subject. Implementation of learning by using the PBL approach (projectbased learning) based on ICT. The processed data was taken from the field (a real problem) which was further discussed and discussed in groups by utilizing the theory of operations research and facilities laptop and software that support it. The result of the discussion was presented in front of the class andeach step that has been done until the students reached their conclusion and interpretation. The results of the study concluded that (1) the form of the program to resolve the research operations problem was computer assisted program, and (2) the learning outcomes of operations research with project-based learning approach.

Abstract

The attainment of education in Indonesia is low. It can be seen from the measurement results of PISA 2013, which measures the ability of Mathematics, Reading, and Science for students in Junior High School education age. Meanwhile, in 2014 the implementation of Curriculum 2013 will be implemented 100% in class VII and VIII. How is the readiness of Junior High School teachers in Mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, and Science regarding to the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in 2014? This study aimed to describe the understanding of junior high school teachers in Mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, and Science to the 2013 curriculum, an innovative learning process, as well as authentic assessment in Semarang city. The study was designed as a descriptive study with a sample of teachers in Mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, and Science (public and private) in the Semarang taken proportionally based on the accreditation status of A, B, and C. The statistical analysis that will be used is simple statistic equipped with the descriptive analysis of narrative. Research steps to be carried out are: sampling, research instruments development, data collection, data analysis, and results. The results indicated an understanding of 2013 curriculum by Junior High School teachers. It showed good result (score 3.7), understanding of the innovative learning process in using 2013 curriculum by Junior High School teachers showed good result (score 3.9), Junior High School teachers’ understanding of the authentic assessment showed considerable good result (score of 3.6), and Junior High School teachers in Bahasa Indonesia subjects, science and mathematics attitudes toward the implementation of curriculum 2013 showed good results. It can be seen from the average score of 3.8 with good categories on the questionnaire analysis. Most of teachers’ attitudes toward the implementation of 2013 curriculum indicated positive respond. On the other hand, factor of teacher readiness toward the implementation of 2013 curriculum still needs to be improved.Keywords: implementation of Curriculum 2013

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan tujuan utama dalam pembelajaran matematika. Terdapat faktor-faktor yang mendukung keberhasilan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah, diantaranya adalah self-efficacy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan model pembelajaran MMP terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah ditinjau dari self-efficacy siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian mixed method dengan desain concurrent embedded. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) model pembelajaran MMP efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah, (2) a) siswa dengan self-efficacy tinggi mampu memahami masalah, merencanakan pemecahan masalah, melaksanakan rencana pemecahan masalah, serta memeriksa kembali dengan benar dan lengkap, b) siswa dengan self-efficacy sedang mampu memahami masalah, merencanakan pemecahan masalah, melaksanakan rencana pemecahan masalah dengan benar dan lengkap, dalam memeriksa kembali tidak mampu menggunakan cara lain, dan c) siswa dengan self-efficacy rendah mampu memahami masalah dan merencanakan pemecahan masalah dengan benar namun kurang lengkap, kurang mampu dalam melaksanakan rencana pemecahan masalah, serta dalam memeriksa kembali tidak mampu menggunakan cara lain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalis (1) keefektifan pembelajaran model problem based learning bernuansa etnomatematika dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa, (2) peningkatan cinta budaya lokal siswa pada pembelajaran model problem based learning bernuansa etnomatematika, (3) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa ditinjau dari gaya kognitif. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 12 Sijunjung Sumatera Barat. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling, kelas X1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan pembelajaran model problem based learning bernuansa etnomatematika dan kelas X2 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Metode pengumpulan data adalah dokumentasi, tes dan non tes. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji ketuntasan, uji t dan uji t berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran problem based learning bernuansa etnomatematika efektif meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dan meningkatkan cinta budaya lokal siswa. Siswa dengan gaya kognitif field independent  mempunyai kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika tergolong baik karena dapat mencapai semua indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan sedikit kesalahan. Siswa dengan gaya kognitif field dependent mempunyai kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika tergolong cukup baik karena hanya dapat mencapai beberapa indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh karakteristik perangkat pembelajaran yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pengembangan perangkat dengan model pengembangan Borg and Gall. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMK. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : (1) perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan valid; (2) perangkat pembelajaran dinyatakan praktis, (3) pembelajaran matematika dinyatakan efektif, ditandai dengan tercapainya: ketuntasan klasikal mencapai lebih dari 75%, kemampuan pemecahan siswa dengan pembelajaran PjBL melalui hands on activity lebih baik dari pada kelas konvensional, proporsi ketuntasan individu kemampuan pemecahan siswa siswa dengan pembelajaran PjBL melalaui hands on activity lebih besar dari pada kelas konvensional, keterampilan proses dan karakter cinta budaya wayang berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan adanya peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah, keterampilan proses dan karakter cinta budaya wayang. This study aims to determine the learning instrument being used is valid, practical, and effective. This research is development learning instrument using development models of Borg and Gall. Subject of this research is grade XI student of SMK. The result of the development of learning instruments as follows: (1) a valid learning tool developed; (2) otherwise practical learning tools, (3) learning mathematics is effective marked by the achievement: classical completeness reached the proportion of more than 75%, problem solving abilities of students with learning PJBL through hands on activity is better than the conventional classroom, the proportion of problem solving abilities of students of students with learning PJBL through hands on activity is greater than a conventional classroom, process skills and character to love puppets culture have a positive effect on problem-solving ability, and an increased ability to problem-solving, process skills and character culture to love puppets.

Abstract

Problem solving activities require students to apply mathematics rules on non-routine problems. Mathematical connection ability is required so that students can relate real problems to mathematical model nor relate the interrelationships between the concepts that required to solve problems. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of MEA in geometry and to analyze the mathematical connections ability of students in geometry based on upper, middle, and lower spatial intelligence categories on MEA. The research method is Mixed Methods and research design is Sequential Explanatory Design. The subjects of the study is the 9th grade students. The study started by first spatial intelligence test in experimental class, then followed by MEA learning in experimental class and expository learning in control class. The study ended by mathematical connection ability test in experimental and control classes and last spatial intelligence test in experimental class. The results showed that MEA learning in geometry were effective. The result of mathematical connection ability in geometry of upper spatial intelligence category students has reached five indicators of mathematical connection ability well. Students of middle spatial intelligence category on first, second and fourth indicators have been maximized, but third and fifth indicators have not been maximized. Students of lower spatial intelligence category on first indicator have been maximized, second indicator has not been maximized, while third, fourth and fifth indicators can not be achieved well. Teachers should know the spatial intelligence of students so that the learning process especially in geometry achieve maximum results.

Abstract

The background of this research is the findings on learning difficulty by students in learning mathematics. The purposes of this research are (1) to describe the effectiveness of problem based learning model with diagnostic assessment in improving problem solving ability, (2) to describe follow-up activities from diagnostic assessment result toward the achievement of problem solving ability, and (3) to describe the pattern of mathematical problem solving ability of students in terms of cognitive style. This is a mixed method research type concurrent embedded. The population in this research is students grade XI MIPA (Mathematics and Natural Science) State Senioe High School 1 Bojong. Data sampling of cognitive style uses GEFT test, while sampling of mathematical problem solving ability uses a test. The effectiveness was analysed based on mean test, completeness test, difference of means test, and difference of proportions test. The result of this research shows that a learning using problem based learning model with diagnostic assessment is effective. Diagnostic assessment result is followed-up by providing appropriate treatment where students find difficulties which include repeating learning, giving particular guidance, giving assignments, asking and answering questions, and optimizing peer tutors. Problem solving ability owned by field independent students is better than that of field dependent students. Field independent subjects are able to master four problem solving indicators according to NCTM, which are: developing new mathematical knowledge through problem solving; solving problems in mathematics and other fields; applying and adjusting various appropriate strategies to solve problems; observing and enhancing mathematical problem solving process, while field dependent subjects are less able to master the indicators that have been mentioned.

Abstract

The aim of this study are to determine the quality of the Learning Cycle 7E model and found a pattern of algebraic thinking ability of 7th grade students’ in solving algebra problem viewed by disposition mathematics. The research uses mixed methods study with concurrent embeded design. The subjects of this research were 7th grade students. Quantitative data was tested with the z test and Independent t-test, whereas qualitative data were analyzed descriptively. Learning quality is assessed from the planning, implementation and evaluation stage. The result of this research shows that Learning Cycle 7E model in good criteria. Students in the high mathematical disposition category were able to solve the algebraic problem from the generalization level, the transformational level until the meta-global level. Students in the medium mathematical disposition category were able to solve the algebraic problem from the generalization level and the transformational level. And students in the low mathematical disposition category were able to solve the algebraic problem only at the the generalization level.
