Abstract

Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan model pembelajaran Treffinger efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika pada siswa SMP Istiqlal Deli Tua Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Istiqlal Deli Tua Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 yang berjumlah 60 siswa. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas IX-2 berjumlah 30 siswa sebagai kelas Eksperimen dan kelas IX-5 berjumlah 30 siswa sebagai kelas Kontrol. Untuk kelas eksperimen pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Treffinger sedangkan kelas control pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Instrument yang digunakan berbentuk tes soal dengan menggunakan kelas IX-2 sebagai uji instrument. Berdasarkan analisis data dalam diperoleh bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model Treffinger dengan model pembelajaran langsung dilihat berdasarkan uji gain ternormalisasi pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 70% tergolong Tinggi dan kelas Kontrol sebesar 33% tergolong sedang. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Treffinger Efektif dalam Meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika pada siswa SMP Istiqlal Deli Tua Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Kata Kunci             : Model Treffinger, Hasil Belajar Matematika

Abstract

In this study, the population growth rate of Pematang Siantar City during the period 2022–2025 is discussed through an improper integral approach. Population growth patterns must be analyzed and predicted in the long term. Linear, geometric, and exponential growth models are used to analyze data taken from the Statistics Center. The calculation results show that the population growth rate changes every year, with an average change of 0.10% per year. The prediction for 2025–2026 shows a growth of 0.59%, indicating an increase in population. However, through an improper integral approach, it is found that a population that experiences a decrease in growth rate over time will reach a limited cumulative total population value, even if the population continues to increase. These results indicate that a long-term downward trend can lead to population shrinkage, uncontrolled growth can lead to population density. As a result, this study is expected to provide a scientific basis for population policies and sustainable development planning in Pematang Siantar City.

Abstract

This study aims to apply integral calculus methods to calculate the volume and arc length of an ice cream cone design shaped like a flower petal. The cone design is modeled using a quadratic function derived from three reference points on the petal curve. Using the solid of revolution method around the y-axis, the calculated petal volume is 150.8 cm³, and the arc length is 7.14 cm. The results demonstrate that calculus-based modeling supports efficient material usage while enhancing aesthetic and functional aspects of packaging. This research highlights the connection between mathematical concepts and practical product design in the food industry

Abstract

This study aims to estimate the water volume of Lau Kawar Reservoir using the cylindrical shell method of integral calculus. The reservoir is assumed to be a perfect cylinder with a radius of 564 meters and a depth of 8.45 meters. The volume is calculated using both the shell method and the standard analytical formula for cylinders. The result shows a water volume of 8,437,640.45 m³. Both methods produced identical results with an absolute error of 0.00 m³. This proves that the shell method is highly accurate for symmetrical reservoir shapes. The study demonstrates how integral calculus can be applied to real-world problems in hydrology.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model matematika berbasis integral tak wajar guna menganalisis dinamika penyebaran Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut (ISPA) dan pneumonia di Kota Medan. Model SEIR (Susceptible-Exposed-Infected-Recovered) yang dimodifikasi digunakan untuk memetakan laju infeksi, efektivitas vaksinasi, dan dampak faktor lingkungan terhadap kedua penyakit tersebut. Simulasi numerik dilakukan menggunakan metode Runge-Kutta Fehlberg (RKF45) dengan parameter yang diambil dari data sekunder dan literatur terkait. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa bilangan reproduksi dasar () untuk ISPA adalah 3.808, sementara untuk pneumonia adalah 2.26, yang menunjukkan potensi penyebaran endemik di Kota Medan jika tidak ada intervensi. Total infeksi kumulatif selama periode simulasi mencapai 2.306.336 kasus untuk ISPA dan 3.286 kasus untuk pneumonia, menunjukkan beban epidemi yang signifikan. Efektivitas vaksinasi terbukti sangat penting dalam mengurangi laju infeksi pneumonia, dengan pengurangan signifikan pada tingkat transmisi setelah pemberian vaksin. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan implementasi kebijakan kesehatan seperti kampanye vaksinasi massal, edukasi masyarakat tentang pencegahan penyakit, dan peningkatan sanitasi sebagai langkah strategis untuk mengendalikan penyebaran ISPA dan pneumonia. Pendekatan integral tak wajar memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang distribusi temporal kasus dan dampak intervensi jangka panjang.

Abstract

This study focuses on optimizing rainfall prediction in Karo Regency using the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) method, addressing the issue of climate uncertainty affecting the agricultural sector. The main objective is to develop a predictive model based on historical monthly rainfall data from 1994 to 2023 and evaluate its accuracy. Data were obtained from Google Earth Engine and analyzed using Python. The process included data normalization, time series transformation, LSTM model training, and evaluation using Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The rainfall predictions for 2024 and 2025 demonstrate consistent patterns with historical trends. Thus, the model presents potential as a decision-support tool for data-driven agricultural planning in regions with high climate variability.

Abstract

In a Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), business actors often do not know exactly how many goods must be produced and sold in order to get maximum profit. To find out the maximum profit and the number of products that must be produced, the simplex method in linear programming can be used. The simplex method is a method to find the optimal solution of a linear programming model with the principle of iteration. There is a tool to solve linear programs quickly, namely Lingo software that can be used to calculate many problems in a fast time. To implement this simplex method, the data taken by researchers is on MSMEs that produce Cold Drinks with the name Cold Ice. That way, the purpose of this study is to find out how much maximum profit is obtained after obtaining the optimum production amount of each product on Cold Ice in the Medan area.

Abstract

Linear programming is one of several methods of maximizing or minimizing an objective function to create an optimal solution. However, an efficient method is needed to perform calculations. In this research, the manual simplex method was used to maximize profits from the sale of penyet chicken, geprek chicken and halibut chicken in one of the MSME businesses in the city of Medan. Apart from that, an analysis tool was also used in the form of an application called POM-QM for Windows to verify the calculation results manually. In this research, 3 variables and 7 obstacles were identified which were resolved using the simplex method which means a maximum profit of IDR 2,330,000 per day with an increase of IDR 1,194,000.

One of them is Bu Ida fruit juice, which consistently produces fruit juice according to crowd-pleasing orders of average consumer credit. admittedly utilize capital and basic materials enough, Ms. Ida's business is growing day by day. From this research, problems were distinguish and answer live needed, comprehend the employment of linear programming to determine the sales abundance that absence to be optimized to attain maximum earnings from juice sales Ida's fruit. There are 6 (six) juices and 6 (six) ingredients. In this study, a simple method linear programming algorithm is applied to obtain an optimization model to maximize the juice production quantity and obtain optimal profits. The POM-QM Windows application provides fast, accurate and precise calculation results.

Abstract

This research focuses on optimizing the profits of UMKM production of banana chips using the simplex linear programming method and the help of POM-QM software. This research aims to find out ways to use profit optimization methods in banana chips MSMEs so that they can find out maximum profits, production costs, income and raw materials used. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method, where the data obtained is more descriptive in nature from the results of interviews and observations that have been carried out and then the data will be analyzed qualitatively. Data collection techniques in this research include the use of primary data and secondary data. Primary data is obtained through observation, interviews, or distribution of questionnaires to relevant sources. Meanwhile, secondary data was obtained through literature searches from books and magazines that were relevant to the research topic. The analysis technique used is linear programming using the simplex method. The research results and discussion show that this function has reached optimal conditions. Therefore, the calculation stops once all the values in the objective function become positive. The result of this solution is the variable value x1 = 6 ; x2 = 2 ; x3 = 0 dan x4 = 0. Increase in profit from the initial value of Rp. 675,000 to reach a maximum profit (Zmaks) of Rp. 900,000, then the difference between profits before and after optimization is IDR. 225,000, and with the help of POM-QM for Windows software calculations become more relevant because this tool helps in completing calculations to achieve maximum profit levels quickly, accurately and efficiently.
