Abstract

This study aims to explore the subjective experiences of students with social anxiety in academic contexts, as well as the coping strategies they employ to manage it. Social anxiety refers to a form of anxiety that arises from the fear of negative evaluation in social interactions. In academic settings, this often manifests in situations such as presentations, group discussions, or communication with lecturers. A qualitative approach with a narrative method was employed. Five active university students who experienced symptoms of social anxiety were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using thematic-narrative analysis. The findings revealed that students experienced both physical symptoms (e.g., cold hands, heart palpitations, and sleep disturbances) and cognitive symptoms (e.g., overthinking and excessive fear of judgment). The coping strategies identified were categorized into two main types: problem-focused coping, such as practicing presentations and preparing scripts, and emotion-focused coping, such as praying, sharing with friends, and self-reflection. Some respondents also reported using avoidance strategies, such as skipping presentations due to feeling unprepared.

Abstract

This comparative study evaluates the thermal performance of helix and spiral-shaped receivers in a Parabolic Dish Collector (PDC) system, a renewable energy technology that converts solar radiation into heat by concentrating sunlight onto a receiver. The geometry of the receiver significantly influences heat absorption and system efficiency. Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations, this research compares temperature distribution, fluid flow velocity, and thermal energy transfer between the two receiver designs. Results indicate that the helix receiver provides more uniform heat distribution and achieves 2.6% higher thermal efficiency than the spiral receiver. However, the spiral receiver exhibits higher central flux and benefits from a simpler design and lower production costs. These findings offer insights into selecting optimal receiver geometries for improved solar energy utilization, supporting the advancement of efficient parabolic solar collector technology in renewable energy applications.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the effect of perceived quality, price fairness, brand experience, and accessibility towards repurchase intention. The sample in this study is 107 respondents who are the customer of Chatime Purwokerto. The determination of the sample used purposive sampling method. The data was analyze using multiple regression analysis. The result of this study indicates that perceived quality, price fairness, and brand experience affects on repurchase intention partially. While, price fairness have no affect on repurchase intention. The adjusted coefficient of determination R Square is 0,407, which means that perceived quality, price fairness, brand experience, and accessibility are affects on repurchase intention by 44,7%, while remaining 59,3% is affected by other variables that not examined in this study. The most dominant influence variable in this study is brand experience.
