Abstract

The national road through Nagari Sungai Lansek, Sijunjung district (3 km long with an effective width of 7 meters) has a relatively high accident frequency where the total traffic accidents in the 2020-2022 range are always increasing. The aim of this research is to identify the factors that contribute to accidents at the research location. Specifically, the research locations are divided into three areas, namely Jorong Cilacap, Jorong Sikayan, and Jorong Sungai Ampang. The characteristics of the accidents observed are the type of accident, time of the accident, type of vehicle, and location of the accident. The analytical approach used in this research is the AEK (Accident Equivalent Analysis) method and correlation techniques. Based on the time of occurrence, the most diverse accidents were found between 06.00-19.00 with a total of 20 cases. Based on the type of vehicle most frequently involved in accidents, data was obtained on private cars and trucks for 17 cases. The type of accident that occurred most frequently was frontal collision with 11 cases. Based on the geographical context of the incident, a total of 11 incidents were observed in the Sungai Ampang area where driver factors contributed to a total of 17 incidents. The age range of drivers involved in accidents ranges from 16-30 years. Efforts to mitigate traffic accidents in the research area include implementing traffic education initiatives as well as implementing strict sanctions for road users who violate traffic regulations. Providing education regarding correct driving techniques and etiquette in traffic, as well as understanding the importance of traffic signs needs to be carried out in line with the provision of signs and improving road lighting at the study location.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of disruption caused by the development of online transportation on public minivans (angkot) in the Nanggalo District, Padang City, and to assess changes in public interest in choosing urban transportation modes. Disruption refers to innovation that replaces existing systems with new methods, and this phenomenon is also occurring in spatial planning in Indonesia, particularly in the transportation sector. In recent years, angkot, as a primary mode of transportation, has experienced a decline in passenger numbers and fleet size due to the emergence of online transportation applications such as Gojek and Grab. The methodology employed in this research is Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The findings indicate that 73% of respondents prefer using online transportation, leading to a 48.67% decrease in angkot passengers. The average frequency of angkot operating during peak hours is recorded at only 3 vehicles per hour for the Pasar Nanggalo – Lapai route and 5 vehicles per hour for the Pasar Nanggalo – Gunung Pangilun route. Furthermore, the load factor for the Pasar Nanggalo – Lapai route is 41.67%, while for the Pasar Nanggalo – Gunung Pangilun route, it is 48.61%. The average waiting time for angkot on the Pasar Nanggalo – Lapai route is 13 minutes, whereas for the Pasar Nanggalo – Gunung Pangilun route, it is 7 minutes. This study recommends enhancing the quality of angkot services, including more regular scheduling, improved cleanliness, and increased comfort during trips. Additionally, it is crucial for local governments to formulate policies that support the sustainability of angkot through driver training programs and innovations in public transportation systems. By doing so, it is expected that angkot can adapt to technological advancements and meet the evolving needs of the community.

Abstract

The Concrete technology innovation is always required to answer the challenges of the need for the resulting concrete to be of high quality including strength and durability without ignoring economic value. One of the additional materials can be using pumice for fine aggregate. In such conditions, it is possible that the need for quality fine aggregates will be difficult to fulfill. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of variations in the use of sea sand on the compressive strength of concrete. This research is experimental in nature and was carried out in the Civil Engineering laboratory of the Padang Institute of Technology (ITP). Standard regulations for concrete mixing specifications use SNI 7656-2012 which concerns "procedures for selecting mixtures for normal concrete, heavy concrete and mass concrete".  Therefore, this research aims to determine the effect of using beach sand as a substitute for river sand on the compressive strength of concrete. In this research, the additional material used was Mentawai beach sand with percentages of 0%, 20%, 40%, 60% and 80% at 28 days with 3 samples for each percentage. The test object used was a steel cylinder with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm. The quality of the concrete used is fc' 20.75 Mpa. The research results showed that the compressive strength value of the concrete in the Trial Mix was 35.52 MPa, while at 28 days of concrete age, the compressive strength value reached 22.21 MPa, in accordance with the planned target of 20.75 MPa. Meanwhile, with a 20% variation, the compressive strength value was 19.73 MPa, and experienced a decrease of 11.16% compared to normal concrete. With a 40% variation, the compressive strength value was 18.11 MPa and decreased by 18.46% compared to normal concrete. At 60% variation, the compressive strength value was 16.75 MPa and decreased by 24.58% compared to normal concrete. At 80% variation, the concrete compressive strength value was 13.98 MPa and decreased by 37.05%. Keywords: Concrete, Beach sand, Compressive strength.

Abstract

Jalan Sawahan merupakan salah satu ruas jalan yang selalu dipadati arus kendaraan saat mengakses Pusat Kota Padang. Berdasarkan observasi awal yang dilakukan, ditemui kemacetan di ruas jalan tersebut, terutama pada jam sibuk di pagi dan sore hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja ruas Jalan Sawahan yang ditinjau dari Level of Service (LOS) dan memprediksi pelayanan ruas jalan tersebut pada 10 tahun yang akan datang. Analisis tingkat pelayanan ruas jalan dilakukan merujuk PKJI 2014. Hasil analisis Level of Service (LOS) ruas jalan Sawahan pada jam puncak tertinggi adalah hari Minggu dengan waktu jam puncak yaitu jam 16.00 – 17.00. Ini menunjukkan LOS pada kategori C yang berarti arus stabil, tetapi kecepatan dan pergerakan kendaraan masih dikendalikan. Akan tetapi menurut hasil analsisa forecasting untuk tahun 2032, nilai volume lalu lintasnya (V) diprediksi sebesar 3381,73 skr/jam, dengan nilai kapasitas 2903,19 skr/jam. Diduga Level Of Service (LOS) pada ruas Jalan Sawahan Kota Padang akan menurun menjadi 1,16 untuk kedua sisi ruas jalan dan berada pada level “F” dengan karakteristik arus yang dipaksakan atau macet, kecepatan rendah, volume diatas kapasitas, antrian panjang dan terjadi hambatan besar. Dengan demikian hasil kajian semoga ini dapat menjadi catatan bagi pihak yang berkepentingan untuk ditindaklanjuti sebagai upaya peningkatkan pelayanan ruas jalan tersebut.

Abstract

Sungai Limau Highway Section, Padang Pariaman Regency Is an accident event that often occurs because this road section as a connecting route between the city of Pariaman and Agam regency and at the same time becomes a tourist spot adjacent to the coast causing a negative impact on public opinion and the security of private property, so as to suppress accidents, especially heavy accidents,  The main factors causing accidents as well as knowing the relationship and impact on the severity of accidents need to be analyzed. This study aims to analyze the main causes and see the correlation relationship with the main factors that cause traffic accidents on the Limau river road, Padang Pariaman Regency. This study used data on the number of accidents that occurred in 2021, 2022, 2023 with a total of 95 accidents. The data analysis method used in this study is a correlation test to determine the linear relationship between each accident variable and the AEK (Accident Equivalent Number) technique for the examination of the most severe accidents. The results of the analysis showed that the main factors that resulted in traffic accidents on the Sungai Limau Road Section of Padang Pariaman Regency, namely drivers, most occurred on Mondays, often occurred at bright times from 06:00 to 19:00, vehicles were dominant motorcycles, and accidents often occurred in Kuranji Hilir. In the 2021-2023 time frame, the highest traffic level on the Sungai Limau road section of Padang Pariaman Regency occurred in 2022 with the equivalent number of accidents of 325.

Abstract

Paving Block is a building material made from a mixture of cement, sand and water. Paving blocks are widely used in the construction sector, such as sidewalks, highways, parking lots, parks and others. Ease of installation, inexpensive maintenance and fulfilling aspects of beauty make paving blocks more preferred. Along with the many developments such as houses, parks, roads in the midst of today's society, this has resulted in the need for paving blocks increasing. Because the hardening process takes quite a long time, therefore, to speed up hardening, this study added coconut shell ash. In this study using a ratio of 1 Pc: 3 Ps and the addition of coconut shell ash with variations of 0%, 2.5%, 5% and 7.5% by weight of cement. The average compressive strength value of paving block plans is a minimum of 12.5 MPa and a maximum of 15 MPa for grade C which is used for pedestrians and other uses, with rectangular specimens measuring 20 cm x 10 cm x 6 cm of 24 pieces with age 28 days testing for compressive strength and water absorption test. Based on the test results, the normal compressive strength of paving blocks was 13 MPa, the addition of 2.5% coconut shell ash was 13.5 MPa, 5% shell ash was 14.5 MPa, the addition of 7.5% coconut shell ash was 12. .83 MPa. Based on the test results, the normal Paving Block water absorption value was 7.8%, 2.5% shell ash was 7.22%, the addition of 5% shell ash was 6.3%, 7.5% shell ash was 4.89%. Thus, it can be stated that the effect of Coconut Shell Ash can increase compressive strength and reduce water absorption. The highest compressive strength and lowest water absorption were obtained at the addition of 5% for the compressive strength and the lowest water absorption was obtained at the addition of 4.89%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa kompetisi moda angkutan umum darat antarkota di negara berkembang seperti Malaysia, terkait atribut travel time dan travel cost. Kajian ini menjadi penting karena kebijakan infrastuktur di negara berkembang seperti realisasi double tracking project ETS di Malaysia, berpotensi menimbulkan persaingan moda khususnya bus dan kereta api, terkait dua atribut tersebut. Pendekatan analisis dilakukan menggunakan reveal preference method yang dipertajam dengan stated preference method. Tingginya kompetisi moda angkutan umum darat antarkota ini memungkinkan terjadinya mode shift, yang dapat diprediksi melalui preferensi dan persepsi pengguna moda. Preferensi dan persepsi pengguna moda bus antarkota dideskripsikan dengan memunculkan analisis sensitivitas terhadap 12.000 data set. Melalui analisis sensitivitas, dijumpai adanya perbedaan persepsi pengguna bus terhadap kebijakan penyedia jasa dalam perubahan nilai utilitas kedua moda tersebut. Temuan studi ini menarik, dimana reduksi travel time dan penurunan travel cost yang sama pada kedua moda, belum tentu menghasilkan persentase mode shift yang sama. Pengguna bus terlihat kurang begitu responsif terhadap pengurangan travel time maupun travel cost moda saingannya. Sebaliknya, pengguna bus antarkota lebih khawatir terhadap bertambahnya travel cost dan travel time moda mereka (bus). Diharapkan kajian ini menjadi pertimbangan bagi pembuat kebijakan agar pembangunan infrastruktur lebih tepat sasaran menuju terciptanya balance mode share. Terutama bagi kebijakan yang menimbulkan persaingan angkutan umum darat antarkota di masa depan.Kata kunci : Metoda stated preference, Reveal preference,  Preferensi moda bus antarkota, Analisis sensitivitas.
