Abstract

Language error analysis is a study about disorder of language use based on grammatical rules. This research is aimed to analyze and interpret morphological errors in Kompas Editorials. It works on perspective content analysis method by applying documentation and hermeneutic techniques. Data collection techniques applied in this research by reading, recording, and grouping the data based on morphological categories. This research reveals that inappropriate affix uses, affix omission in particular use of prefix, suffix, and confix. To conclude, the use of official, accurate, acceptable Indonesian language should be concerned in writing the news.

Abstract

Analysis of language errors is the science of studying or discussing the use of languages that are notin accordance with the rules that have been determined based on standard grammar, these are stillfound in scientific works including in a collection of scientific papers of students of IslamicUniversity of Indonesia Language and Literature Study Program. The language used by students issometimes not in accordance with the rules of language contained in the Indonesian SpellingGeneral Guidelines (PUEBI). Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of analyzing andinterpreting errors in syntactic level language, phrase fields and sentences in a collection ofscientific papers by students of the Islamic University of Riau Indonesian Language and LiteratureStudy Program. This study uses the content analysis method that is prescriptive. Data collectiontechniques using documentation and hermeneutic techniques. The data of this study are sourcedfrom a collection of scientific papers from students at the Islamic University of Riau FKIPIndonesian Language and Literature Study Program. The data studied was documented by reading,taking notes and then concluded and grouped based on the use of each level. Errors in language in acollection of student papers at the Islamic University of Riau FKIP Indonesian Language andLiterature Study Program found language errors at the syntactic level. The results of this study, thephrase field errors are excessive or redundant use of elements and improper use of prepositions.Meanwhile, language errors in the sentence field include, the sentence is not subject, the sentence isnot predicated, the sentence is not subject and is not predicated/sentence stumps such as the use ofwords, illogical sentences, excessive use of conjunctions, non-parallel sequences, use of foreignterms , and the use of unnecessary question words.

Abstract

Hip hop music continues to evolve utilizing innovative and often rebellious language. More than just background music, hip hop song lyrics act as verbal manifestos, social commentary and poetic expression. This paper explores the intricate relationship between language style and hip hop song lyrics.  The method used in this research is a qualitative method. The data source in this research is the lyrics in the song entitled "Epic Rap Battles of Presidency 2024" sung by Andovi, Jovian de Lopez and Kristo Imanuel in the context of the 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election contestation. The data collection techniques are free listening and recording. The data analysis technique used is content analysis with a stylistic approach that focuses on the figurative language aspect. The results of the analysis show that the song lyrics of "Epic Rap Battles of Presidency 2024" utilize a number of figurative language including comparison consisting of hyperbole, personification, and metaphor; affirmation consisting of pleonasm, repetition, elepsis, and rhetoric, and satire consisting of sarcasm, irony, and cynicism. The use of figurative in song lyrics aims to create a beautiful impression and at the same time emphasize a number of messages that are meaningful to the intended parties, namely the presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election.

Abstract

This research describes the shift in the Javanese greeting system in Sungai Pasir Putih Village, Kelayang District, Indragiri Hulu Regency and the factors that caused the shift. The aim of this research is to describe, analyze and interpret the shift in the system of kinship and non-kinship greetings in Javanese in Sungai Pasir Putih Village, Kelayang District, Indragiri Hulu Regency and the factors that influenced the shift. The theory used in this research is Fishman (2010). The method used in this research is qualitative description. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are that there are 17 shifts in the kinship greeting system, consisting of 10 shifts in greetings in kinship relationships and 7 shifts in greetings in marital relationships. Furthermore, 14 data on shifts in non-kinship greeting systems were found, consisting of 8 shifts in general public greetings, 3 shifts in traditional greetings, and 3 shifts in religious greetings. Factors that influence the shift are the existence of a new language, the economy, and marriage.

Abstract

modernization. The entry of foreign cultures also influences the mindset and policies that apply in society. The issue of moral identity is presented in the form of literary works, one of which is in the form of short stories. This study describes how the moral identity contained in short stories is seen from the linguistic level, discourse practice, and sociocultural practice. The researcher reviewed this research using the qualitative content analysis method of Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis. the approach which was used in this research is qualitative and Data collection techniques were done by downloading the short stories through online media. From the results of the research it can be concluded that 1. The study of moral identity can reveal power relations that the people's moral identity has been eroded by modernization, greedy rulers, and the powerlessness of the poor; 2. The dimensions of discourse practice show that the short stories presented are in accordance with Republika's vision and mission; 3. The dimensions of sociocultural (situational) practice are written according to the context of events when the text is published, namely the frequent occurrence of floods due to destruction of nature and lack of love for the environment. The implications of this research have the potential to contribute to literary understanding and literary research. By analyzing short stories with a critical discourse approach, researchers can provide insight into how literature reflects and shapes the moral identity of individuals and society.

Abstract

Kurangnya kemampuan menulis cerita pendek pada mata pelajaran Bahasa dan Sastra indonesia di kalangan siswa SMPN 1 Siak Hulu menjadi penyebab utama penelitian ini dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh pemanfaatan aplikasi Wattpad terhadap kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa SMPN 1 Siak Hulu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2024. Dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Siak Hulu, Jl. Kubang Jaya, Kecamatan Siak Hulu, Kabupaten Kampar, Riau. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pre eksperimen dengan jenis one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 33 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian adalah uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis cerita pendek sebelum diberikan perlakuan menggunakan Wattpad diperoleh nilai rata-rata berjumlah 67,61. Sementara itu, hasil penelitian tentang kemampuan menulis cerita pendek menggunakan aplikasi Wattpad menunjukkan skor rata-rata 81,09. Berdasarkan tujuan penelitian dan analisis data diperoleh taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, dengan Thitung > Ttabel atau 5,856 > 1,695. Dengan demikian, Ha diterima, sedangkan H0 ditolak. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan aplikasi Wattpad berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa SMPN 1 Siak Hulu.

Abstract

The implementation of this community service started from the many complaints from teachers who had difficulty writing journal articles. This problem arises because they have not received training in writing and publishing scientific papers, so their motivation is low, and this has an impact on promotion. Apart from that, there is a lack of references and limited knowledge regarding writing articles. In fact, research activities and writing scientific articles are basic or mandatory for teachers in order to increase educational competence. Based on this, the aim of article writing training is to increase the productivity of writing scientific articles and publishing them, as well as increasing teacher professionalism and competence, increasing teacher self-confidence, and enabling teachers to actively develop their knowledge and skills. This training uses a classical and individual approach. The classical approach is carried out in two stages. First, the PKM team came to the school to conduct observations and needs analysis, then provided direct training to teachers at SMP Negeri 8 Tambang Kab. Kampar regarding writing journal articles. Second, training is carried out using lecture, tutorial, and practical methods. Meanwhile, an individual approach is taken in mentoring activities by guiding teachers in compiling and writing journal articles. The results of PKM activities related to journal article writing strategies increased understanding and motivation of teachers at SMP Negeri 8 Tambang Kab. Kampar in writing journal articles.

Abstract

ABSTRAK:Karya sastra yang dikontruksi budaya disebut juga identitas etnis. Beberapa aspek membentuk identitas etnis, yaitu: (1) identitas diri sendiri; (2) pengetahuan tentang budaya etnis (tradisi, adat istiadat, nilai, dan perilaku); dan (3) perasaan bahwa seseorang termasuk dalam kelompok etnis tertentu. Metode kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengkonstruksikan elemen struktural cerpen melalui pendekatan cultural studies yang menggunakan critical discourse analysis (CDA). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memperluas pemahaman kita tentang fenomena identitas etnis dengan melihat identitas etnis sebagai refleksi sejarah atau kontruksi sosial, serta bagaimana hubungan kuasa dibangun dalam teks. Metode pengumpulan data terdiri dari mengunduh cerpen dari media online, yang kemudian dideskripsikan, dianalisis, dan ditafsirkan sesuai dengan elemen struktural cerpen, identitas etnis, dan CDA. Identitas etnis dilihat pada tahap CDA melalui komponen linguistik melalui tata bahasa dan praktik wacana berupa produksi dan konsumsi teks, serta relasi kuasa berupa dinamika antar karakter, setting cerita, dan tema yang diangkat, diantaranya konflik interpersonal, penindasan dan diskriminasi, serta asimilasi etnis antara kelompok mayoritas dan minoritas.KATA KUNCIIdentitas Etnis; Cultural Studies; Critical Discourse Analysis; Relasi Kuasa ETHNIC IDENTITY IN INDONESIAN LITERARY WORKS IN ONLINE MEDIA(CULTURAL STUDIES IN CRITICAL DISCOURSE ANALYSIS)ABSTRACT:Literary works that are constructed by culture are also called ethnic identities. Several aspects form ethnic identity, namely: (1) one's own identity; (2) knowledge of ethnic culture (traditions, customs, values, and behavior); and (3) the feeling that one belongs to a particular ethnic group. Qualitative methods are used in this research to construct the structural elements of short stories through a cultural studies approach that uses critical discourse analysis (CDA). The aim of this research is to expand our understanding of the phenomenon of ethnic identity by viewing ethnic identity as a reflection of history or social construction, as well as how power relations are built in texts. The data collection method consists of downloading short stories from online media, which are then described, analyzed and interpreted according to the short story's structural elements, ethnic identity and CDA. Abstract

Pembelajaran pencak silat diberikan mulai tingkat sekolah dasar. Materi pencak silat dalam substansi PJOK memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap pencapaian tujuan pendidikan Nasional. Pencak silat mengandung unsur pembelajaran yang sangat baik untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. materi pencak silat tercantum dalam kurikulum pembelajaran disekolah. Untuk mewujudkan pencapaian tujuan dalam pembelajaran beladiri pencak silat di Sekolah, maka peran guru dalam implementasinya sangat penting dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran. Pembelajaran beladiri pencak silat dapat berlangsung lancar jika pada proses pelaksanaan dan setelah proses pembelajaran dilaksanakan guru meguasai materi yang mau diajarkan kepada peserta didik atau siswa. Pembelajaran yang baik haruslah memenuhi kriteria daya tarik, daya guna (efektivitas), dan hasil guna (efisiensi) sehingga hasil pembelajaran dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi keefektifan, efisiensi, dan daya tarik. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu Implementasi Penerapan Latihan Teknik Dasar Pencak Silat dalam meningkatkan pembelajaran Pada kelompok Guru Olahraga Se Kecamatan Rengat Barat Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu. Abstract

Abstract Petanque is a rapidly growing sport in Indonesia, including in Riau Province. As the popularity of this sport increases, a good understanding of the rules set by the Fédération Internationale de Pétanque et Jeu Provençal (FIPJP) is very important for athletes to be able to compete professionally. However, many athletes in Riau still do not understand the latest rules, which can affect their performance in official matches. This program aims to improve the understanding of petanque athletes in Riau regarding FIPJP regulations through interactive and practice-based socialization. The methods used include Observation, discussion, and Direct Practice. It is hoped that through this activity, athletes can apply the rules better in competitions and improve the quality of their game. Based on the results obtained, this socialization has proven effective in improving the understanding of petanque athletes in Riau. Therefore, it is recommended that similar activities be carried out periodically with a wider scope, such as involving coaches, referees, and other petanque communities. In addition, related sports federations can support this educational program by providing regulatory materials that are more easily accessible to athletes.
