Abstract

This article explores the grammar learning in two influential English language teaching (ELT) curriculum approaches to tertiary level and the potential approach to interweave them. The two prominent approaches shaping language learning in Indonesia are communicative language teaching (CLT) specified in Task-based Instruction and Genre approaches rooted in Systemic Functional Language (SFL). Given the various curriculum which comes and goes, bringing together with miscellaneous methods or approaches, it is urgently needed to adapt rather than adopt the wholesale methods or approaches by making the nexus between those two aproaches to fit the context. This article aims at revisiting creative and innovative grammar teaching and learning at tertiary educational level. We elucidate how those approaches foster English as a Foreign Language (EFL), notably, how grammar should be learnt and assessed through them.

Abstract

Cabe sebagai salah satu bahan pangan yang penting bagi masyarakat. Cabe merupakan bahan pokok yang tidak stabil harga dan pasokannya, cuaca dan kondisi alam sangat mempengaruhi produktivitas petani Cabe. Kekeringan yang panjang dan hujan yang berlebihanlah yang menjadi kendala bagi petani Cabe. Kondisi alam tersebut harus disiasati oleh para petani agar tidak merugi dan tetap dapat bertahan pada sector pertanian. Cuaca bisa juga mendatangkan berkah dan musibah bagi petani Cabe. Harga cabe yang terus melambung, membuat petani cabe menangguk untung sesaat tetapi masyarakat umum yang resah. Harga Cabe mahal saat terjadi becana alam banjir, letusan gunung dan gangguan hama yang serentak karena stok di petani habis atau menipis. Kisaran harga yang terlalu fluktuatif tersebut mengganggu bagi petani dan masyarakat ditambah ulah para pengepul dan penimbun yang memainkan harga tanpa pertimbangan keresahan masyarakat. Untung sesaat dapat mematikan petani cabe dan mengganggu kegiatan kuliner masyarakat luas. Pasca Pandemi Covid-19 ini mulai berangsur pulih untuk memulai wirausaha kuliner. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut maka diperlukan mengedukasi dalam beberapa bentuk mengawetkan, merubah hasil produk ke bentuk yang lain dengan bekerja sama dengan ibu-ibu PKK desa Wage untuk melakukan diversifikasi olahan Cabe agar kegiatan kewirausahaan baik saat panen maupun musim penghujan dan saat terjadi bencana dengan kisaran kenaikan harga yang manusiawi. Solusinya adalah bersinergi dengan Ibu-ibu PKK dilatih melalui pelatihan kewirausahaan diversifikasi olahan berbahan baku Cabe dan pengemasan hasil olahan Cabe yang Higienis dan tahan lama. Hasil PKM ibu-ibu PKK memiliki keterampilan pengolahan Cabe dan timbul jiwa wira usaha baru untuk menambah penghasilan bagi keluarga.Abstract. The Chili is an important food ingredient for society. Chili is a staple ingredient whose price and supply are unstable, weather and natural conditions greatly influence the productivity of chili farmers. Long droughts and excessive rain are obstacles for chili farmers. Farmers must overcome these natural conditions so that they do not suffer losses and can continue to survive in the agricultural sector. Weather can also bring blessings and disasters to chili farmers. The price of chilies continues to soar, making chili farmers reap short profits but the general public is worried. Chili prices are expensive when natural disasters occur, floods, volcanic eruptions and simultaneous pest attacks because farmers' stocks run out or are running low. The overly fluctuating price range is disturbing for farmers and the public, in addition to the actions of collectors and hoarders who manipulate prices without considering public concerns. Fortunately, for a moment it can kill chili farmers and disrupt the culinary activities of the wider community. After the Covid-19 pandemic, people are starting to gradually recover to start a culinary business. To overcome this, it is necessary to provide education in several forms of preserving, changing the product to another form by collaborating with PKK women in Wage village to diversify processed chilies so that entrepreneurial activities both during the harvest and the rainy season and when disasters occur with the range of increase humane price. The solution is to synergize with PKK mothers who are trained through entrepreneurship training on diversification of processed products made from chili raw materials and packaging of processed chili products that are hygienic and long-lasting. As a result of PKM, PKK women have skills in processing chilies and a new entrepreneurial spirit has emerged to increase income for the family. Abstract

Menjaga agar tidak terpapar covid-19 telah disosialisasikan oleh pemerintah dengan mencegah faktor eksternal didukung dengan faktor internal dengan meningkatkan stamina. Pandemi ini menyebabkan penghasilan sebagian besar masyarakat terdampak jadi berkurang, berdampak pada factor kesehatan, sehingga untuk meningkatkan stamina dengan mengkonsumsi suplemen yang mahal harganya tentu harus berfikir dan mengatur agar tetap cukup untuk kebutuhannya. Harus ada pengganti yang terjangkau harganya. Pengetahuan tentang varians olahan dari jahe kunyit untuk peningkatan dan menjaga stamina tubuh ini bagi ibu-ibu PKK Sri Tanjung Sidoarjo perlu ditingkatkan dan disosialisasikan di lingkungan sekitar sebagai upaya pencegahan dari faktor internal. Solusinya membuat pengganti minuman suplemen dengan kasiat yang baik dengan menggunakan bahan yang cukup terjangkau dimasa sulit yang belum tahu kapan berakhirnya. Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang varians olahan jahe kunyit untuk peningkatan stamina tubuh agar terhindar dari virus covid-19. Menambah penghasilan tambahan dengan cara menjual produk olahan dari varians olahan jahe kunyit yang higienis dan praktis. Pelatihan membuat produk varians olahan dari bahan rimpang jahe kunyit untuk meningkatkan imunitas daya tahan tubuh terhadap Covid-19 serta meningkatkan ekonomi kelompok tersebut diperlukan. Metode pelatihan dan pendampingan meliputi ceramah, tanya jawab, demonstrasi dan praktek. Hasil pelatihan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan manfaat Jahe kunyit yang higienis dan layak jual untuk menangkal virus Covid-19 dan memiliki tambahan penghasilan dari penjualan tersebut.Abstract. Protecting against being exposed to Covid-19 has been socialized by the government by preventing external factors supported by internal factors by increasing stamina. This pandemic has caused the income of most affected people to decrease, impacting health factors, so to increase stamina by consuming expensive supplements, of course, you have to think and arrange so that you have enough for your needs. There must be an affordable replacement. Knowledge about the variance of processed ginger and turmeric to increase and maintain body stamina for PKK Sri Tanjung Sidoarjo mothers needs to be increased and socialized in the surrounding environment as a prevention effort from internal factors. The solution is to make a substitute for a supplement drink with good efficacy using ingredients that are quite affordable in difficult times that don't know when it will end. Increase knowledge and skills about the variance of processed ginger and turmeric to increase body stamina to avoid the covid-19 virus. Add additional income by selling processed products from the variant processed ginger turmeric which is hygienic and practical. Training on making processed variance products from ginger and turmeric rhizome to increase immunity against Covid-19 and improve the group's economy is needed. Training and mentoring methods include lectures, question and answer, demonstrations and practice. The results of the training can increase knowledge of the benefits of hygienic and marketable turmeric ginger to ward off the Covid-19 virus and generate additional income from sales.
