Abstract

Categories of learning outcomes include acceptance, response, assessment, organization, and pattern formation. Thus, the essence of learning is a change in thinking that affects behaviour. The results of interviews with teachers at SMA Kartika XIII-I Ambon show that current students have not shown an environmentally conscious attitude. Therefore, research was conducted to improve the mastery of the concept of class X students on environmental pollution material using creative problem-solving learning models with guided inquiry strategies. This study used a classroom action research method that took place in two cycles for one month. The subjects in this study were 26 students. The research data were processed descriptively on the results of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor assessments. The results showed that in cycle I there were still 65.4% of students who had not achieved mastery of concepts on environmental pollution material. Therefore, the research was continued in cycle two with the action of using the creative problem-solving learning model based on guided inquiry strategy and coupled with audio-visuals media, as well as a stimulus in the form of giving rewards to active students. It was proven that in cycle II there was an increase in students' mastery of concepts in environmental pollution material in students by 100% so that the series of class action research was no longer continued. In conclusion, the use of learning models

Abstract

Today's students must be able to optimize the dimensions of critical and creative reasoning abilities with the many digital-based learning resources that support this, especially to develop their abilities in Mathematics and Science subjects for students in class X-3 of SMP Negeri 1 Ambon, totalling 36 participants. This research aims to explore the application and challenges of critical and creative reasoning using qualitative methods with instruments like observation sheets. The research results show that most students are in good categories for the critical reasoning and creative dimensions. The critical reasoning dimension includes obtaining and processing information and ideas, analysing and evaluating reasoning, and reflecting on thought and thought processes that are in the good category. However, there is a need to improve the ability to make the right decisions. The creative dimension includes generating original ideas and producing original works and actions, which are also in the good category. However, there are challenges to increasing creative abilities to a higher level. This study also found that students' low basic abilities are the main obstacle in developing critical and creative reasoning dimensions of ability

Abstract

Infectious diseases caused by Staphylococcus aureus can be cured with traditional medicine, One example of a plant that has antibacterial power is binahong root. This study aims to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum killing concentration (MBC) of binahong root extract against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Binahong root extract was obtained from maceration using absolute ethanol solvent. Furthermore, the extract obtained was made with a concentration dilution of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. The method used is disc diffusion. The results showed that each concentration of binahong root extract had an inhibitory effect on the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This is influenced by the active compounds contained in the binahong root extract such as flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and alkaloids. Binahong root extract concentrations of 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% were found to have zones of inhibition against the growth of S. aureus bacteria and the minimum inhibitory level (MIC) of Binahong root extract against the growth of S. aureus bacteria at a concentration of 5%.
