Abstract

This research aims to analyze the types of affixes found in Taylor Swift's song lyrics in the album "Folklore". The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through documentation. The data collection process involved five steps: downloading, reading, underlining, classifying, and coding. The results showed that out of 469 data, 464 data (98%) were found to be inflectional affixes. The details are -s/es as much as 188 data (40%), -ing suffix as much as 103 data (21%), -ed suffix as much as 97 data (20%), -en suffix as much as 32 data (6%), -'s suffix as much as 25 data (5%), -est suffix as much as 15 data (3%), and -er suffix as much as 4 data (0.8%). A total of 5 data (1%) are derivative affixes which only consist of the suffix -less. This research provides a deeper understanding of the use of affixes in song lyrics, and shows the flexibility and richness of the English language through morphological processes.

Abstract

Abstract

Listening, speaking, writing, and reading are four activities that encourage each other in the communication process, known as the four skills language. When one of the four Language Skills speaks, it takes center stage. This student needs more opportunities to speak English in public, either at or outside of school. Students not used to communicating in English could struggle to compete with international students. Language is also regarded as a difficult lesson by students because they become easily bored during the learning process. This factor influences participants' desire to study English at a higher level. Lessons are uninteresting to students, and as a result, they need to accept learning optimally. Researchers use survey results to collect student responses to learn how to use storytelling to improve students' language skills. Ten students from MIPA-1 SMAS Yayasan Pendidikan Pangeran Antasari Class X Participant research is in the works. The questionnaire responses are reviewed and revised to produce reliable results. According to research findings, 90% of students are satisfied with their English language lessons, while 60% of dissatisfied students believe that English language lessons are too difficult. Approximately 90% of English students, particularly those enrolled in the Skills Speak course, are overjoyed. The brave student has only completed half of his in-class English speaking.

Abstract

This research investigated the ability of children to pronounce the capital letter in words at 2-3 years at Kampung Lalang. Toddlers at the age of 2 years and up to 3 years would usually be able to say 50 words or more although some letters will still be difficult for them to pronounce. Vocabulary may grow rapidly but pronunciation may not keep up. There would be pronunciations that were difficult for them to pronounce even though they know what they were referring to. Only a few words and letters that they were able to pronounce and pronounce. The research aimed to find out the ability of children to pronounce the capital letter in words at 2-3 years at Kampung Lalang. The research was conducted in the house of parents that have the regional Kampung Lalang. This research was conducted by using Qualitative Descriptive methods. The instruments for collecting data were observation, interview, and oral-written documentation. The data analysis was the result of research in the house of parents that have the regional Kampung Lalang. After analyzing the folklore, the researcher found some capital letters that able to produced by the children and their ability to pronounce the capital letter in words. The letters were able to be pronounced by the children are A, B, C, D, E, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z. And the letters that were not able to be pronounced by the children are R and S. Keywords: Capital letter, Pronounce, The ability, Children.

Abstract

The study identified and analyzed the types of sentences found in the text and what types of sentences were the dominantly used. Researchers use qualitative descriptive research methods by using analysis documents to obtain the desired results. Researchers collected 88 sentences data. The result showed that first, the types of sentences are declarative, interrogative, imperative and exclamative sentence. Declarative sentence consists of 18 data, interrogative sentence consists of 30 data, imperative sentence consists of 24 data and exclamative sentence consists of 16 data. Second, the data analyzed showed that the interrogative sentence is the most frequency dominant used, while the least frequency dominant is exclamative sentence.

Abstract

Rendahnya nilai siswa menulis teks prosedur di SD Negeri 107405 Tembung disebabkan kurangnya minat belajar, minimnya keterampilan menulis, maka sebagai guru harus dapat menggunakan model pembelajaran yang inovatif. Terkhususnya materi pelajaran  berbentuk praktek, seperti menulis teks prosedur.  Jenis penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yang dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus, yaitu siklus I dan siklus II. Dalam penelitian PTK melalului beberapa tahapan, yaitu: mulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Selanjutnya tujuan penelitiannya mendiskripsikan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 107405 Tembung  dari  menulis teks prosedur dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran yang berbasis proyek. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas dan hasil belajar siswa melalui tes menulis teks prosedur dan dianlisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Subyek penelitia, yaitu peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri 107405 Tembung ada 30 orang. Hasil penelitian dapat diperoleh adanya peningkatan peserta didik dalam menulis teks prosedur dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran yang berbasis proyek, yaitu dengan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dari siklus 1 masih 53%  dan siklus II naik menjadi 83%, berarti ada kenaikan 30%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dapat menaikan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam menulis teks prosedur di SD Negeri 107405 Tembung tahun pelajaran 2022/2023.
