Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the role of whistleblowers in exposing corruption crimes in Indonesia and to determine the extent to which protection and the legal system can protect whistleblowers and encourage whistleblower courage. This research uses a normative juridical method with a statutory approach to analyze laws and regulations related to corruption crimes. The results show that the whistleblower system plays an important role in efforts to eradicate corruption, but its implementation still faces significant challenges. Data reveals that 90% of whistleblowers lose their jobs after reporting, although 84% are still willing to report again. A Transparency International Indonesia survey showed 68% of respondents were ready to become whistleblowers. The effectiveness of the system is influenced by five factors: legal framework, law enforcement, facilities, public awareness, and culture. Despite a 25% increase in the LPSK budget by 2023, legal protection is still not optimal. The research recommends strengthening regulations, improving the protection system, intensifying public education, strengthening organizational culture, and developing an incentive system to increase the effectiveness of the whistleblowing system in combating corruption in Indonesia.

Abstract

Aviation Security officers play an important role in carrying out inspections to maintain the security and safety of prospective passengers. This study aims to determine the application of inspection procedures in the new adaptation era and to analyze the performance of Aviation Security (AVSEC) officers in the new normal adaptation era at Lede Kalumbang Airport. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques using participant observation, structured interviews, and documentation collected from relevant informants when the writer went into the field. The results of this study indicate that the inspection procedure in the new normal adaptation era is the same as the previous examination but there are additional checks or rules such as passengers must wear masks, maintain a minimum distance of 1 meter and examine health documents for passengers who will travel. And the performance of Aviation Security personnel at Lede Kalumbang Airport is in accordance with the SOP set at Lede Kalumbang Airport.

Abstract

The nutritional status of pregnant women is an important factor affecting maternal health and fetal growth. One factor that plays a role in determining nutritional status during pregnancy is diet. An unbalanced diet can increase the risk of nutritional disorders in pregnant women, especially in the third trimester when nutritional needs increase. This study aims to analyze the relationship between diet and the nutritional status of pregnant women in the third trimester. This study used an observational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted at the Helen Tarigan Clinic in January 2026. The study sample consisted of 43 pregnant women in the third trimester selected using a total sampling technique. Dietary data were obtained through questionnaires, while nutritional status was assessed based on anthropometric measurements. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of 95%. Most respondents were aged 20–35 years (74.4%), had a high school education (46.5%), worked as housewives (60.5%), and were multigravida (58.1%). Pregnant women with good dietary habits were more likely to have good nutritional status (48.8%), while those with poor dietary habits were more likely to have poor nutritional status (25.6%). Chi-square test results showed a significant relationship between dietary habits and nutritional status of pregnant women in the third trimester (p=0.003). Dietary habits were significantly associated with nutritional status of pregnant women in the third trimester. Implementing a good dietary habit can help maintain optimal nutritional status during pregnancy.
