Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study explores how Muslimah socialites in Pontianak City construct their identity and lifestyle through halal consumption practices. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method with symbolic consumption theory and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), this research investigates how personal religiosity, community influence, and aesthetic preferences shape consumer behavior in fashion and cosmetics. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with five informants, participatory observation, and documentation. The findings show that halal consumption is not merely a religious obligation but functions as a form of identity performance and symbolic status assertion. Muslimah socialites integrate modest fashion and halal beauty products to project an image of being pious yet modern, supported by their social environment and digital platforms. This study contributes to understanding the performative nature of halal consumption in urban Muslim women's everyday lives and offers insights for policymakers and halal product developers targeting the Muslim lifestyle segment.

Abstract

Implementation of character education must be familiar from an early age, especially religious character. A religious character is a human character based on religious aspects. One example of religious character planting activities is the dhuha and istighosah prayers. Semiotics is interpreted as a description of ideas, objects, and situations related to media, messages, culture, and society. The purpose of this research is to find out the message of cultivating religious character in SDI KHA. Wahid Hasyim is based on signs (icons, indexes, and symbols). This study uses a qualitative research approach presented in a descriptive form and analyzed by studying Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic theory with the triangle theory of meaning, namely Icons, Indexes, and Symbols. The results of this study are 1) SDI KHA. Wahid Hasyim, as one of the Nahdlatul Ulama-based schools, implemented a religious character outside of the learning process by habituating the Dhuha prayer in congregation and regular istighosah every Thursday. 2) Dhuha and istighosah prayer activities have messages and culture that want to be instilled and conveyed to students from an early age. 3) signs such as body posture, setting of the place, and time have their meaning related to the cultivation of religious character.

Abstract

Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) is one of the algorithms in Machine Learning. Machine Learning that estimates the linear coefficient equations involved in one or more independent variables that can predict the value of the variable of interest. Algorithms used to predict the value of a variable based on the value of other variables. Based on 2021 data at the Information Technology Certification Center (TCC), it can be seen that the quality and quantity of Microsoft International Certification graduates is decreasing. In the pre-pandemic MOS certification, the percentage of passes was seventy-two percent (72%), while in the MOS certification during the pandemic the percentage of passes dropped to fifty-two percent (52%). Based on the results of the MLR trial test on the dataset of MOS-Word and MCF-AI certification test participants, a calculation formula is obtained as a benchmark in assessing the MOS-Word and MCF AI certification scores. The study provides specific recommendations to optimize certification training programs by tailoring materials to address critical competencies and participant needs. Additionally, a predictive formula developed in this research can serve as a self-assessment tool for participants to evaluate their readiness for certification tests. These findings underscore the potential of MLR as a robust analytical tool for improving certification processes, enhancing training effectiveness, and ensuring better outcomes for participants. This research contributes to advancements in machine learning applications within education and professional development contexts.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Not all civil servants who are Muslim at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of West Kalimantan Province accept the policy of deducting civil servants' salaries for professional zakat, citing management practices that are considered non-transparent and inconsistent with the principles of Islamic economics. This study aims to examine the policy of deducting civil servants' salaries for professional zakat at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of West Kalimantan Province from the perspective of sharia economic principles, in order to provide a better, more argumentative understanding based on Islamic economic principles regarding the implementation of professional zakat distribution to civil servants. This is a qualitative descriptive study with an Islamic legal and conceptual approach. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews and informant selection through purposive sampling. The results of the study show that the policy of deducting civil servants' salaries for professional zakat is in line with the main principles of Islamic economics, which emphasise justice and public interest as embodied by a leader in making policies. In this case, the policy of deducting salaries for professional zakat is considered capable of accommodating both theocentric and anthropocentric aspects simultaneously. This is evident from the objectives of the policy, which on the one hand is a form of compliance with Islamic law and on the other hand helps civil servants who are confused about how to distribute their professional zakat. In addition, in terms of its impact, this policy is also in accordance with the principles of Islamic economics, because the process is transparent, there are no violations of Islamic law, and no parties are harmed. Abstract

Jasser Auda's thoughts begin with a critique of Ushul fiqh. This research answers first, Ushul al-Fiqh tends to be textual and ignores the purpose of the text; second, the classification of several ulus al-Fiqh theories leads to binary and dichotomous logic; third, the analysis of al-Fiqh's proposals is reductionist and atomistic. Apart from that, Jasser Auda also criticized the classic Maqasid which was too focused on individual benefit so that it was unable to answer current global problems. Therefore, Jasser Auda expands the scope and dimensions of classical maqasid theory to answer the challenges of modern times. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. This research produces Jasser Auda's theory, namely system as an approach in Islamic law, and develops a set of categories using six system features, namely cognitive nature, interconnectedness, wholeness, openness, multidimensionality, and meaningfulness. This research also reveals the figure of the Contemporary Maqasyid syariah Thinker where He did not eliminate the maqasyid of Classical Sharia, he only developed it to suit the needs of today's society. This research is considered important in current developments with growing legal needs.
