Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan representasi konsep karakter pemimpin dalam lirik lagu Bugis Bulu’ Alauna Tempe Ciptaan Abdullah Alamudin. Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari lirik lagu Bugis Bulu’ Alauna Tempe. Data penelitian berupa kata-kata, frase, atau ungkapan pernyataan yang terdapat dalam lirik. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik baca-simak dan pencatatan serta wawancara. Data-data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan pendekatan hermeneutika. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, representasi konsep karakter pemimpin yang terdapat dalam lagu Bugis Bulu’ Alauna Tempe Ciptaan Abdullah Alamudin, ditemukan tiga konsep karakter pemimpin, yaitu pemimpin berwibawa tinggi, pemimpin mengayomi sepenuh hati, dan pemimpin sebagai pemegang amanah. Ketiga konsep karakter pemimpin tersebut merupakan kunci sukses dalam menjalankan kepemimpinan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of forming abbreviations used on Instagram. The method used in this study is observation by taking screenshots and recording abbreviation data. Furthermore, the sample used in this study does not depend on quantity but rather on quality based on the range and depth of the problems studied. The results of this study indicate that the process of forming abbreviations still follows the old pattern, and the new pattern is in the form of only one abbreviation, each retaining the first letter of each component and retaining the first letter with a number. Furthermore, abbreviations that still follow the old pattern and the new pattern in the form of acronyms consist of three respective formation processes, namely the preservation of the first letter of each component, the preservation of the first syllable of each component, the preservation of the first syllable and the preservation of the first letter of each component, and the preservation of the first syllable of the first word and the last syllable of the last word. The various syllables and letters of some components are conserved by the omission of prepositions, and the various syllables and letters of some components are conserved by omission. The second and third patterns are the dominant new patterns used in Instagram social media. The dominant use only pays attention to sound so that it looks slangy and pleasing to the listener's ear without paying attention to its logic.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing use of abreviation to social media instagram. This study aims to describe abreviation manifestation in social media instagram. The method used in this research, namely the method refer to the screenshot and record abreviation data. Furthermore, the sample used in this study is not dependent on quantity, but rather on quality based on the scope and depth of the problem under study. The results of this study indicate that the embodiment of abreviation consists of two, namely conventional and nonconventional abreviation. Nonconventional divided into two forms, namely plesetan and manasuka. Plesetan also consists of two terms, namely the term health and education level. Furthermore, manasuka consists of four terms, namely the naming of the day, the fruit, the Indonesian artist, and the country.

Abstract

This study aims (1) to describe the embodiment of arbitrary abbreviations and acronyms in Instagram social media, and (2) explains the purpose of forming arbitrary abbreviations and acronyms in Instagram social media. The method used in this study is observed method by taking screenshots and recording abreviation data. The sample used in this study does not depend on quantity, but rather on quality based on the scope andprofundity of the problem researched. The results show that arbitrary abbreviations are made by twisting and forming a new extension. Meanwhile, the acronym is made for an extension that seems forced because the form of the acronym does not have a meaning relationship with its extension. Arbitrary abbreviations and acronyms generally also contains meaning that was deliberately mischarged, making it difficult for understanding outsiders who don't use social media.There are three objectives of forming arbitrary abbreviations and acronyms on Instagram social media, looks contemporary, ragged material, and as a reminder.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji istilah kekerabatan dalam nyanyian rakyat Bugis (elong) melalui pendekatan semantik komponensial. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengungkap makna dan fungsi istilah kekerabatan dalam konteks budaya Bugis, serta implikasinya terhadap struktur sosial masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka, wawancara mendalam, dan observasi partisipatif. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teori semantik komponensial dan pendekatan etnosemantik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa istilah kekerabatan dalam elong Bugis memiliki struktur makna yang kompleks, mencerminkan hierarki sosial, dan berfungsi sebagai alat transmisi nilai budaya. Analisis komponensial mengungkapkan fitur-fitur semantik seperti generasi, jenis kelamin, garis keturunan, dan status pernikahan yang membentuk makna istilah kekerabatan. Penggunaan istilah kekerabatan dalam elong berfungsi untuk memperkuat ikatan keluarga, mentransmisikan nilai budaya, meregulasi perilaku sosial, dan mengekspresikan emosi. Implikasi sosial-budaya dari temuan ini mencakup upaya pelestarian nilai tradisional, adaptasi sistem kekerabatan dalam konteks modern, dan potensi revitalisasi bahasa dan budaya Bugis. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang hubungan antara bahasa, budaya, dan struktur sosial dalam masyarakat Bugis, serta membuka peluang untuk studi komparatif dan lintas budaya.

Abstract

Social media platforms like Instagram encourage word shortening and other non-standard vocabulary developments. This phenomenon is typically overlooked in Indonesian language morphology instructional materials, which emphasize normative principles. Therefore, an in-depth morphological analysis of these shortening forms and an exploration of their potential as authentic learning resources are needed. Therefore, this study aims to (1) identify and classify the dominant types of word shortening on Instagram, (2) analyze the morphological process of forming these shortening forms, and (3) formulate didactic implications for utilizing these findings as a source for learning Indonesian language morphology. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a content analysis method. Data in the form of text (captions, comments, and stories) containing shortened forms were collected from Indonesian-language Instagram accounts and analyzed based on morphological rules. The results show that abbreviations and contractions are the most dominant types of shortening on Instagram. The most active morphological processes are syllable fragmentation (apocope) and vowel deletion (syncope). The analysis shows that although many shortened forms are nonstandard, their formation patterns still follow principles of lexical efficiency that can be explained morphologically. This study makes a significant contribution by offering a contextualized morphology teaching model based on contemporary language practices. Utilizing Instagram data can increase student learning interest and bridge the gap between language theory in the classroom and the reality of everyday digital communication.
