Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe aspects and characteristics of postmodernism in the novel Orang-orang Bloomington by Budi Darma. This study uses a descriptive approach. The method, which is collecting data, reading, and analyzing data. Based on the results of the study, the aspects of postmodernism were found, namely parody and camp, while the characteristics of postmodernism were found, namely the aspect of reducing admiration for science, capitalism, and technology , and shifting dominance.

Abstract

This research analyzes the type and belief system based on the Bugis cultural ideology of the values of local wisdom in the cenning rara spells. This research is a descriptive qualitative research by having two sources of data, which are spells and responses or opinions of Bugis people about spells. This type of research data in the form of words, phrases, expressions, and statements, both from the contents of the spell and from the opinion of the Bugis community about spells. The approach used in research, namely the ethnographic approach. The work method of ethnographic approach is that the researcher is directly involved in the field or the Bugis community environment to obtain more accurate data. The data analysis technique used for the data collected is a cultural interpretation technique. The results showed that there are three types and cultural ideology contexts of the Bugis community in the cenning rara spells, namely (1) the enchanting cenning rara spells that is considered effective in capturing the hearts of the opposite sex, (2) the power cenning rara spells which is considered as a thickener, and (3 ) cenning rara spells treatment that is considered a young preservative.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan representasi konsep karakter pemimpin dalam lirik lagu Bugis Bulu’ Alauna Tempe Ciptaan Abdullah Alamudin. Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari lirik lagu Bugis Bulu’ Alauna Tempe. Data penelitian berupa kata-kata, frase, atau ungkapan pernyataan yang terdapat dalam lirik. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik baca-simak dan pencatatan serta wawancara. Data-data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan pendekatan hermeneutika. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, representasi konsep karakter pemimpin yang terdapat dalam lagu Bugis Bulu’ Alauna Tempe Ciptaan Abdullah Alamudin, ditemukan tiga konsep karakter pemimpin, yaitu pemimpin berwibawa tinggi, pemimpin mengayomi sepenuh hati, dan pemimpin sebagai pemegang amanah. Ketiga konsep karakter pemimpin tersebut merupakan kunci sukses dalam menjalankan kepemimpinan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini pada dasarnya bertujuan mendeskripsikan ekspresi idealis pemeran utama dalam novel Tuhan, Izinkan Aku Menjadi Pelacur karya Muhidin M. Dahlan. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif dengan menerapkan metode deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian yakni novel Tuhan, Izinkan Aku Menjadi Pelacur karya Muhidin M. Dahlan, dengan data penelitian berupa kata, frasa, kalimat dan pernyataan yang ekspresi idealis. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan teknik baca secara intensif dan sistem penandaan. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah teknik hermeneutika. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekspresi idealis pemeran utama dalam novel Tuhan, Izinkan Aku Menjadi Pelacur karya Muhidin M. Dahlan mencakup (1) ambisius, (2) teguh pada pendirian, dan (3) optimisme. Penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan, baik secara teoretis maupun praktis. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini dapat mengembangkan teori-teori sastra khususnya sastra Indonesia. Secara praktis, penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan bagi peneliti, guru, dan mahasiswa sebagai referensi dan rujukan untuk penelitian selanjutnya.

Abstract

Literary work is a form and result of creative works of art whose objects are humans and their lives use language as a medium. Especially children's literature by children, basically has its own advantages. The storyline is unique and interesting and builds the expression of the child's world. This study aims to describe the physical aspects of female characters in children's novels by children. This paper is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The approach used in this study is a psychological literacy approach. The technique of collecting research data was done by reading carefully accompanied by marking. The analytical technique used is a symbolic hermeneutic technique. Based on the results of the study, the findings of this study relate to the physical aspects of female characters in children's novels which include physical aspects in terms of gender, physical aspects in terms of age, physical aspects in terms of facial characteristics, the physical aspect in terms of the clothes used, and the physical aspect in terms of the state of the body (senses). Key words: physical, representation, children's novel, and children's work

Abstract

This study explores the transformation, preservation, and commodification of Bugis folk songs in the digital era. As a form of oral culture, Bugis folk songs have undergone significant changes through their exposure on digital platforms such as YouTube and social media. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that digitalization facilitates the preservation of folk songs via audiovisual recordings, but it also shifts the meaning and cultural functions of these oral traditions due to commodification. The songs are no longer solely cultural heritage artifacts but have become digital economic products. This study highlights the need for a balance between preserving cultural values and adapting to the dynamics of the digital economy.Keywords: oral culture, folk songs, digitalization, commodification Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji transformasi, pelestarian, dan komodifikasi lagu-lagu rakyat Bugis dalam era digital. Sebagai bagian dari budaya lisan, lagu rakyat Bugis mengalami perubahan signifikan ketika dihadapkan pada platform digital seperti YouTube dan media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi memungkinkan pelestarian lagu rakyat melalui rekaman audio-visual, namun sekaligus menggeser makna dan fungsi budaya lisan tersebut karena adanya proses komodifikasi. Lagu-lagu ini tidak lagi semata-mata berfungsi sebagai warisan budaya, tetapi juga sebagai produk ekonomi digital. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya keseimbangan antara pelestarian nilai-nilai budaya dan adaptasi terhadap dinamika ekonomi digital.Kata kunci: budaya lisan, lagu rakyat, digitalisasi, komodifikasi

Abstract

This qualitative case study explores the implementation of the "Merdeka Belajar" (Freedom to Learn) approach in Indonesian language learning at the senior high school level. The study investigates the perceptions and practices of Indonesian language teachers, the alignment between Merdeka Belajar principles and classroom instruction, and the challenges and opportunities associated with this innovative curriculum framework. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and the analysis of curricular materials. The findings reveal a varied landscape of Merdeka Belajar implementation, with some teachers enthusiastically embracing the approach and others struggling to adapt. Key factors influencing the process include teacher beliefs, administrative support, and the broader educational ecosystem. The study highlights the potential of Merdeka Belajar to transform Indonesian language education by fostering student-centered, personalized, and technology-enhanced learning experiences. The insights gained can inform policymakers, school leaders, and educators in their efforts to effectively integrate the Merdeka Belajar approach and deliver a more empowering and relevant language curriculum.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of Islamic Cultural History lessons at MAN 1 Poso, focusing on the use and effectiveness of audio-visual media. Conducted using a qualitative method, the research applied an ethnopedagogical approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion verification. The results indicate that Islamic Cultural History lessons are generally well-implemented, using the "Independent Curriculum" for Phases E and F and the 2013 Curriculum for Grade XII. Audio-visual media, supported by infrastructure such as LCD projectors and Wi-Fi, enhances learning. Its use in Class X E1 effectively increases students' interest and motivation. This study highlights the importance of integrating audio-visual media with appropriate teaching methods to create an engaging learning environment and achieve educational goals. These findings provide valuable insights for future research on the integration of media in Islamic Cultural History education.

Abstract

This study explores the role of the Madrasah Committee in achieving the goals of Islamic Education at Madrasah Tsanawiyah As’adiyah No. 3 Atapange. The research examines the committee's involvement in policy-making, providing intellectual and financial support, overseeing ethical programs, and facilitating students' needs. It also investigates the level of achievement of Islamic education goals, which include fostering moral behavior towards Allah SWT, fellow humans, oneself, and the environment. The study employs a qualitative approach with sociological and psychological methods, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation to gather data. The findings reveal that the Madrasah Committee plays a significant role in supporting Islamic education, particularly in guiding students’ religious practices, ethical conduct, discipline, and environmental awareness. These contributions are integral to achieving the intended educational outcomes, including the development of students' religious and ethical values. The research emphasizes the importance of the Madrasah Committee’s active participation in the educational process, highlighting their impact on the success of Islamic education at the institution.

Abstract

This article investigates the process of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at UPTD SD Negeri 181 Bulete, Pitumpanua Subdistrict, Wajo Regency, with a focus on the students' practice of Salat and the efforts of teachers in guiding its implementation. Using a qualitative approach with pedagogical, religious, and psychological perspectives, the study analyzes primary and secondary data through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. The findings reveal that the implementation of PAI involves three key components: preparation, which includes curriculum and lesson planning; the learning process, which focuses on the teacher’s ability to explain, the use of methods, and learning media; and evaluation, including feedback, tasks, and grades. The study also shows that the practice of Salat among students is still in the learning stage, with some students accustomed to it due to guidance from teachers and parents. Teachers play a vital role in this process by providing advice, being role models, and offering motivation. This study underscores the importance of Islamic Religious Education in shaping students' religious practices, particularly in the context of Salat, and highlights the significant role of teachers in this guidance.
