Abstract

The child with special needed need special assistance from the school side, the homeroom teacher is no exception. At Banda Aceh 1 Elementary School, children with special needs are managed in accordance with applicable standards. This study aims to determine the role, strategies and obstacles of homerooms in the management of children with special needs at SDN 1 Banda Aceh. This research is a qualitative research with data collection techniques, namely: observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis was carried out by miles and huberman techniques. Research results include: 1). The role of homeroom is that it is very much needed even very important in terms of the management of children with special needs. As the right of the homeroom teacher in managing his students in the classroom, his roles include making plans for implementing learning, designing syllabi, media, and modifying curriculum. 2). Homerooms in the management of special needs children are homeroom teachers and special mentoring teachers always accompany regular students and children with special needs during the learning process until the learning is complete, the classroom atmosphere is always made fun sometimes there are also students who are bored so the teacher becomes more active in looking after. The homeroom teacher understands that management is not only theoretically using his own instincts. Obstacles are the lack of skills in exploring children with special needs because education personnel are not graduates of schools for children with special needs. Management of children with special needs carried out by teachers at SDN 1 Banda Aceh, management can be done well, as evidenced by students always playing an active role in learning and students are able to carry out evaluations conducted by the teacher. And for the next researcher, hopefully it can study more deeply about the management of homeroom teachers and special teachers in managing and handling children with special needs (ABK) and the factors that influence barriers to better complement and refine this research.

Abstract

The limited academic writing skills of early-career lecturers remain a major challenge in improving the quality and quantity of scientific publications in Islamic higher education institutions. This community service program aimed to enhance the ability to write Islamic-oriented scientific articles through collaboration between Universitas Islam Kebangsaan Indonesia (UNIKI) and the State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Takengon. The program involved 10 early-career lecturers who participated in a three-day offline training followed by two weeks of online mentoring. The method employed included intensive workshops, structured writing practice, and evaluative mentoring by senior lecturers. The results showed significant improvement, with 83% of participants able to produce articles that met the standards of nationally accredited journals. A total of 8 articles were successfully completed and submitted, with 5 articles accepted and published in SINTA 4-5 journals, while 3 others are still under review. This program also facilitated the formation of a cross-campus writing group committed to ongoing academic collaboration. These findings indicate that inter-institutional collaboration combined with a mentoring approach is effective in strengthening the scientific writing capacity of early-career lecturers in Islamic universities. Keywords: Collaboration, Early-Career Lecturers, Academic Writing, Publication, Islamic Higher Education Rendahnya kemampuan menulis ilmiah dosen pemula menjadi salah satu kendala dalam meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas publikasi di perguruan tinggi Islam. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis artikel ilmiah berwawasan Islam melalui kolaborasi antara Universitas Islam Kebangsaan Indonesia (UNIKI) dan Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Takengon. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 10 dosen pemula yang mengikuti pelatihan intensif selama tiga hari secara luring dan dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan daring selama dua minggu. Metode yang digunakan mencakup pelatihan, praktik menulis artikel secara bertahap, serta mentoring evaluatif oleh dosen senior. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, di mana 83% peserta mampu menyusun artikel sesuai standar jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Sebanyak 8 artikel berhasil ditulis dan diajukan, dengan 5 artikel telah diterima dan terbit di jurnal SINTA 4-5, sementara 3 artikel lainnya masih dalam proses review. Program ini juga menghasilkan kelompok penulis lintas kampus yang berkomitmen melanjutkan kolaborasi akademik. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kolaborasi antarinstitusi dengan pendekatan mentoring efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas penulisan ilmiah dosen pemula di lingkungan perguruan tinggi Islam. Abstract

Increasing the number of new students in an institution requires effective and targeted management. This study aims to analyze the strategies employed by the school principal in managing the New Student Admission (PPDB) process at SDN 24 Peusangan and its impact on the quality of admissions and school success. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, employing in-depth interviews and document analysis as data collection methods. The findings show that the principal's strategy in PPDB, which involves extracurricular activities and a zoning system, positively contributes to the increase in new student enrollment. However, there are some weaknesses, such as suboptimal socialization and technical issues with the online system. Despite these challenges, the principal’s strong vision and decision-making ability positively affect the selection process and the quality of educational services at the school.

Abstract

Suap menyuap merupakan salah satu modus yang menyebabkan akan terjadinya korupsi dan praktik suap merupakan masalah serius di Indonesia yang berdampak negatif terhadap pembangunan dan pelayanan publik. Maka untuk melawan korupsi, diperlukan strategi efektif yang dapat memerangi praktik suap di lingkungan publik. Penelitian ini menyajikan beberapa data dan fakta terkait masalah suap di Indonesia, termasuk peringkat CPI yang menunjukkan tingkat korupsi di dalam negeri, kasus suap yang melibatkan pejabat pemerintah, dan hasil survei mengenai indeks korupsi daerah. Selain itu, dijelaskan juga tentang praktik suap dalam layanan publik dan upaya program–program pemerintah serta peran KPK dalam pemberantasan korupsi. Penyebab terjadinya suap karena tingginya tingkat korupsi dimana terdapat peluang dan kesempatan bagi birokrat melakukan suap sehingga hal ini menyebabkan tingginya tingkat korupsi dan kurangnya transparansi dan pengawasan sehingga terjadinya praktik suap menyuap di lingkungan publik. Partisipasi masyarakat dan tindakan penegakan hukum juga menjadi bagian penting dalam memerangi korupsi. Dalam konteks ini, artikel ini menggarisbawahi perlunya strategi efektif yang melibatkan pemerintah, lembaga anti- korupsi, serta partisipasi aktif masyarakat untuk memerangi praktik suap di lingkungan publik.

Abstract

Improving teacher performance in the school is one of the main focuses in achieving the goal of quality education. The purpose of this study was to analyze the strategies of the school principal and the Ministry of Religion in improving teacher performance at State Madrasah Aliyah 7 Bireuen. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to explore the phenomena that occur in the field, focusing on the role of the school principal in motivating and improving the quality of teacher work through coaching, supervision, and rewarding. The researcher also analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of implementing the strategies applied to identify supporting and inhibiting factors that affect teacher performance. The results of the study indicate that the principal of State Madrasah Aliyah 7 Bireuen has implemented various effective strategies, such as teacher performance coaching, supervision, motivation, and ongoing training. However, there are still several challenges, such as lack of motivation from some teachers, high levels of stress due to administrative burdens, and lack of skills in the field of information technology. Nevertheless, training and support programs provided by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and effective communication from the principal have contributed to improving teacher professionalism. Therefore, a more comprehensive and sustainable approach is needed to overcome existing challenges and encourage improved teacher performance in the future.

Abstract

This study examines the analysis of the psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in elementary school-age children. This research uses descriptive research, namely research based on literature review which is described through descriptions using library sources such as books, journals, and laws and regulations related to the research topic. In this study, it was explained that the covid-19 pandemic had a major impact on the learning process that occurred in Indonesia because the learning carried out had to be online or online. Many obstacles faced by teachers and students in the learning process occur such as the difficulty of understanding the material to the increasing level of student stress that affects the mental and psychology of students. Therefore, efforts are needed to be made by teachers and parents to minimize the psychological impact that occurs. Efforts are being made to provide guidance, mentoring, and motivation given by parents to their children to improve students' learning mood so that learning motivation also increases. In addition, teachers as educators must improve skills in utilizing technology so that learning is carried out more interesting and fun

Abstract

This research aims to find out the influence of Islamic leadership, religiosity, and work discipline with work ethic on teacher performance in State Madrasah Aliyah throughout Malang Raya. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational type. The population consisted of 224 teachers and 144 samples (simple random sampling) who were given a questionnaire. Data analysis using Smart PLS V.3.2.8. The research results found that Islamic leadership and religiosity positively and significantly affected teacher performance. In contrast, work discipline did not have a significant effect. Work ethic has a positive and significant influence on teacher performance. Although Islamic leadership does not directly influence teacher performance through work ethic, religiosity does not directly influence teacher performance through work ethic. Work discipline, although indirect, has a positive and significant impact on teacher performance through work ethic. In conclusion, certified teachers meet teacher performance standards in madrasas. This research has implications for the management and development of human resources in madrasas, especially in improving teacher performance, which should be carried out in a planned, systematic and sustainable manner through the total involvement of all parties.

Abstract

This study examines the principal's policy in managing learning during the COVID-19 pandemic in schools. This study uses a qualitative type of field research. Madrasah principals, teachers, and committees are the primary data sources. Meanwhile, secondary data sources are obtained from relevant journals, books, magazines. The location of this research is Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Malang. The findings of this study state that distance learning and problems during the Covid-19 period and analysis of basic policies by madrasah principals in managing distance learning with distance learning outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic include policy analysis regarding student needs the use of learning applications. Evaluation activities and policies in the online learning process will be used. The importance of this research will be to provide solutions in learning to regulate flexibility in choosing a curriculum that is by the learning needs of students during the pandemic, as stipulated in the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture related to the curriculum during an emergency.
