Abstract

This study aimed to find out the role of mother tongue language as the instruction in multilingual society and the importance of mother tongue language as the instruction in multilingual society, such as Bali. The data was collected through library research to find out the role of mother tongue in multilingual society and conducting interview in rural area and urban area to find out how importance of mother if it is used as the instruction in the classroom. The result showed that there are 5 role of mother tongue in multilingual society and there is a contrast opinion of the importance of mother tongue as the instruction in rural and urban area.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the factors affecting the students’ English learning motivation in culture tourism department State Hindu University I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa Denpasar. It also aimed to find out which motivation contributes more on students’ English achievement. The research used qualitative method by providing questionnaire consisting of 20 statements. The questionnaire used Likert Scale. The sample was saturated sampling. The data acquired then was calculated by using statistical procedure and elaborated in descriptive way. The result proved the extrinsic motivation had more significant contribution towards students’ English learning motivation. The findings also revealed that extrinsic motivation in which quality of the teacher and teaching learning used and the module was the prominent factors that can sustain the students’ motivation in the class. Thus, the quality of the teacher and module must be the priority to maintain students’ motivation in the classroom

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the students’ perception on doinf business in digital era. The objectives of the research were (1) to investigate students’ perceptionof using E-commerce in digital era, (2) to figure out the implications of E-commercein students’ daily life. This research was conducted online for students of university inBali. The data was collected from the questionnaire through google form and wasshared online. the result of the study showed that the quantitative data revealed thatparticipants had positive perceptions toward E-Commerce (TikTok shop, Shopee,Tokopedia, etc) in doing business in digital era. For instance, most of them agree thatE-commerce is beneficial tool for buying dan selling items and even delivering goods,majority of participants agree that they can find the desired items with ease. Thesefinding suggested that students can use E-commerce for doing business in digital eraand they are able to learn new things regarding to business with E-commerce in digitalera.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the students’ perception on contextual learning in English tour guiding class. The objectives of the research were (1) to investigate students’ perception of contextual learning in tour guiding class, (2) to figure out the implications of contextual learning in students’ tour guiding activity. This research was conducted online for students at State Hindu University I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa Denpasar. The data was collected from the questionnaire through google form and was shared online. the result of the study showed that the quantitative data revealed that participants had positive perceptions toward contextual learning in English tour guiding class. For instance, most of them agree that contextual learning activities, such as site visits and cultural immersion experiences, enhance students’ understanding of English tour guiding concepts. Then, field trips to cultural heritage sites (contextual) allow students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings and enhance my practical skills as a tour guide. Lastly, they believe that contextual learning plays a crucial role in preparing me for a career in cultural tourism as an English tour guide.
