Abstract

This study on the sociology of communication in industrial society is motivated by the heterogeneity and complexity of the social and cultural diversity of the employees of PT Indorama Synthetics Tbk Purwakarta. With the background of the social and cultural diversity of the employees, the purpose of this study is to identify and describe the following two things: First, the social system of industrial society; Second, the communication pattern of industrial society. This study is based on the theory of Gemeinschaft & Gesellschaft from Ferdinand Tonies and Primary & Secondary Communication from Onong Uchjana Effendy. This study belongs to the type of qualitative research with case study methods and subjective approaches. Data collection in this study was carried out by means of observation and interviews. Based on the results of the analysis of the data collected, two important findings were obtained, namely: First, the social system of industrial society is Gesselschaft; Second, the communication pattern of industrial society is primary communication. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of the study of the sociology of communication. The results of this study are recommended for sociology academics, communication practitioners, and researchers who are interested in the study of the sociology of communication, as a basic reference and practical guide in further researching industrial societies and similar groups of people. Abstract

Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN) released a video for a song entitled "PAN..PAN..PAN" via the PAN TV YouTube account. The PAN song is a promotion and outreach within the framework of the 2024 General Election. The song, which was first released on YouTube PAN TV, has become a viral and trending topic on social media, even getting various comments from netizens and the public. Against the background of the phenomena and problems regarding the PAN song, the study aims to analyze the PAN song using a political communication approach and study. This study specifically aims to reveal more deeply about the following two entities, namely: (1) Forms of Political Communication in PAN Songs; (2) Political Communication Messages in PAN Songs. The analysis of this PAN song is based on the theory of the Bandwagon Effect and The Communicative Function Model. This study was conducted using a qualitative descriptive analysis method. Based on the results of analysis and data mining, two main findings were obtained in this study, namely: (1) The form of political communication in PAN songs includes political communication techniques in the form of the bandwagon effect which has three main effects on audiences, namely conformity, interpersonal influence and seeking status; (2) Political communication messages in the PAN song technically use the communicative function campaign model which consists of four stages, namely surfacing, primary, nomination and election.

Abstract

Nyepuh culture is a blend of local wisdom and universal Islamic teachings. The strong interrelation between culture and religion in the reality of Ciomas Village community life seems to be a single dual that is difficult to distinguish. Knowledge is integrated with trust and values, which determines the situation and behavior conditions of Ciomas Village community members. This study aims to reveal the dimensions of Islamic da'wah in the culture of the Nyepuh from the aspects of ideafacts, artifacts, and sociofacts. The theoretical basis of this study refers to the theory of the Three Cultural Beings of J.J. Hoenigman, namely: Ideafacts, Artifacts, and Sociofacts. The findings in the locus study show that: First, the ideafact culture manifestation in the gild culture which has the dimensions of Islamic da'wah includes Mulung Pangpung, Nalekan, Ngasakan, Clean Village, Nya'angan, and Meungkeut Nyere. Second, the artifact culture manifestations in the gild culture with the dimensions of Islamic da'wah are the Sacred Tomb, Golden Geger Water, Pangpung, Tumpeng Rice, Nyere, and Beubeutian. Third, the form of sociofact culture in gild culture has dimensions of Islamic da'wah: Relationship with Humans, Relationship with Nature, and Relationships with God.

Abstract

Pengurus Wilayah Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) Jawa Barat merupakan struktur organisasi NU di tingkat Provinsi Jawa Barat. PWNU Jawa Barat ini memiliki tingkatan kepengurusan dan susunan kepengurusan yang kompleks serta berbeda dengan organisasi pada umumnya. Penelitian tentang komunikasi internal pada organisasi PWNU Jawa Barat ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: dimensi komunikasi internal pada PWNU Jawa Barat dan jenis komunikasi internal pada PWNU Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini berlandaskan pada kajian komunikasi internal dalam komunikasi organisasi menurut Onong Uchjana Effendy.

Abstract

Aktivitas Dakwah Islamiyah dapat dilakukan dengan metode dan media apapun, termasuk juga dengan berdakwah melalui radio. Radio 102.7 MQ FM merupakan radio dakwah yang ada di wilayah Bandung. Radio ini mempunyai peran penting dalam usaha pengembangan dakwah Islam di wilayah Bandung, melalui program siarannya yang terbagi menjadi dua bentuk, yakni: On Air dan Off Air. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian Studi Kasus dan merujuk pada teori Difusi Inovasi, ada lima peran penting dari Radio MQ FM dalam usaha pengembangan dakwahnya, yaitu: 1) Pengetahuan; 2) Persuasi; 3) Keputusan; 4) Pelaksanaan; dan 5) Peneguhan.

Abstract

Dalam penanggulangan masalah keterpurukan ekonomi tentu memerlukan keterlibatan pemerintahan maupun swasta, dintaranya Program Kredit Kelompok Mingguan (PKKM),  yang menjadi produk PT BPR Parasahabat dalam mengatasi pemasalahan ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan gambaran umum mengenai produk pemberdayaan ekonomi yang di lakukan oleh PT BPR Para sahabat yaitu Program Kredit Kelompok Mingguan (PKKM) yang di dalamnya mencakup perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan hasil. Penelitian ini mengacu kepada  teori pemberdayaan Rubin bahawa dalam pemberdayaan setiap proses harus memberikan hasil, pemberdayaan dalam pelaksanaan dan perencanaanya selalu melibatkan masyarakat, dalam kegiatan pemberdayaan kegiatan pelatihan dan pembangunan fisik harus berjalan beriringan, pemberdayaan harus dapat memaksimalkan sumber daya dan terakhir pemberdaya harus bisa memfungsikan diri sebagai penggerak. Hasil pengabdian menunjukan bahwa dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan hasil PKKM yang dilaksanakan oleh PT BPR Parasahabat dapat memberikan kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat dimana dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan PKKM sesuai dengan konsep – konsep pemberdayaan masyarakat, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian dan kesejahteraan.

Abstract

The rapid flow of information and the free flow of communication on social media has a negative impact on today's millennial generation. The negative impact due to excessive and inappropriate use of social media is the reduction in social interaction and communication among adolescents. Based on the background of the problem regarding the declining communication skills and skills of the current millennial generation, it is necessary to carry out public speaking training activities for the millennial generation, including for teenagers in Purwakarta Regency. This public speaking training activity for youth in Purwakarta Regency has two main objectives, namely: (1) To provide conceptual knowledge about public speaking; (2) Improving practical skills about public speaking. This public speaking training activity is carried out using two methods, namely: (1) Public Speaking Sharing; (2) Public Speaking Training. Based on the implementation of the public speaking training activities, the result is that this public speaking training can build and improve communication skills for youth.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengenalan dan pelatihan dasar manajemen redaksi media massa ini, dilatarbelakangi oleh perlunya mengetahui manajemen redaksi media massa agar dapat memproduksi dan mempublikasikan berita yang ideal, kredibel dan berintegritas di era digital sekarang ini. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, diselenggarakanlah kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) untuk memperkenalkan dan memberikan pelatihan tentang manajemen redaksi media massa kepada mahasiswa, pelajar dan masyarakat umum lainnya. Kegiatan pengenalan dan pelatihan dasar manajemen redaksi media massa di harian umum Pasundan Ekspres ini memiliki dua tujuan signifikan, yaitu: (1) Memperkenalkan manajemen redaksi media massa di Harian Umum Pasundan Ekspres kepada para peserta kegiatan; (2) Memberikan pelatihan manajemen redaksi media massa di Harian Umum Pasundan Ekspres kepada para peserta kegiatan. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode service learning. Berdasarkan pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM ini, maka didapatkan hasil bahwa kegiatan pengenalan dan pelatihan manajemen redaksi media massa ini telah memberikan tambahan pengetahuan dan pengalaman bagi para peserta kegiatan. Kemudian secara signifikan, ada dua point temuan strategis dari hasil kegiatan PKM ini, yaitu: Pertama, ada sebelas divisi dalam Redaksi Pasundan Ekspres yang terdiri dari Direktur Utama, Direktur, Manajemen Keuangan, Admin Iklan, Pimpinan Redaksi, Redaktur, IT Support, Video Grapher, Media Sosial, Konten Kreator dan Tim Liputan; Kedua, ada lima tahapan dalam manajemen redaksi Pasundan Ekspres yang terdiri dari projecting, listing, budgeting, editing dan distributing.Kata kunci: Pelatihan Dasar, Manajemen Redaksi, Media Massa, Pasundan Ekspres

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini, dilatarbelakangi dari kebutuhan untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan grafis pada siswa SMP Negeri Satu Atap Cilingga Purwakarta. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, maka dilaksankanlah kegiatan PKM berupa pengenalan dan pelatihan aplikasi Canva di SMP Negeri Satu Atap Cilingga Purwakarta untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan grafis siswa. Kegiatan PKM ini memiliki dua tujuan, yaitu: (1) Mengenalkan Canva kepada siswa SMP Negeri Satu Atap Cilingga Purwakarta sebagai aplikasi pembuat konten grafis; (2) Melatih siswa SMP Negeri Satu Atap Cilingga dalam membuat konten grafis dengan aplikasi Canva. Kegiatan PKM ini diselenggarakan dengan menggunakan Service Learning. Secara spesifik, kegiatan PKM ini telah terlaksana dengan baik dan telah mencapai hasil yang maksimal pada dua poin berikut: (1) Siswa SMP Negeri Satu Atap Cilingga Purwakarta dapat mengenal dan mengetahui Canva sebagai aplikasi pembuat konten grafis; (2) Siswa SMP Negeri Satu Atap Cilingga dapat membuat konten grafis dengan menggunakan aplikasi Canva.
