Abstract

This research was a descriptive case study. The purpose of this research was to describe the student’s ability to interpret the kinematics graph. The subjects of the study were 347 students of class XI science in the even semester of 2018/2019 in Luwu Raya, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The research data were obtained from multiple-choice test results using instruments adapted from Test of Understanding Graph – Kinematics 2.6 and the results of in-depth interviews to find out the reasons learners choose answers and casual factors. The results of the study based on descriptive data analysis were 90 students or 25.94% in the low category, and 257 students or 74.06% were in the very low category. These results indicate the ability to interpret the graphs of students were still low, with the average achievement in answering questions on each of the highest indicators was 20.99 % on indicators identifying graphs based on the description. While the lowest average achievement was11.91%, which is the indicator to identify the graph that has a different variable. Base on the qualitative data analysis, the results are students had difficulties in solving the test, as follows: a) the difficulty in distinguishing symbol of the variables on the graph, b) the difficulty in determining the formula for solving test in graphical form, c) to determine when the curve on the graph v-t decreases then the object will move with speed slowed. The factors causing these difficulties are because students did not understand deeply about how to read graphs, how to solve test in graphical form, and did not understand the formula used to solve the test.

Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the impact of training, mentoring, and capital assistance on the income of UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) actors in Mamuju District, Mamuju Regency. The data used in this study consists of both qualitative and quantitative data sourced from secondary and primary data. Multiple linear regression analysis is employed to analyze the data. The study's results indicate the following: (1) The Training variable partially positively affects the income of UMKM actors in Mamuju District, Mamuju Regency. (2) The Mentoring variable also has a partial positive effect on the income of UMKM actors in Mamuju District, Mamuju Regency. (3) The Capital Assistance variable partially positively affects the income of UMKM actors in Mamuju District, Mamuju Regency. Finally, (4) The Training, Mentoring, and Capital Assistance variables, when considered simultaneously, significantly affect the income of UMKM actors in Mamuju District, Mamuju Regency.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of job training, organizational culture, and job promotion variables on employee performance at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in West Sulawesi Province. The research method used is quantitative with primary data from a questionnaire. Respondents in this study were employees at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of West Sulawesi Province, with a population of 200 employees. The sample used was the Probability Sampling technique, and the number of samples was determined using the Slovin formula with a sample size of 67 respondents. The formula in this study uses validity tests, reliability tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, and F-tests. The results of this study indicate that job training and organizational culture variables have a partially significant effect on employee performance at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of West Sulawesi Province. However, job promotion does not significantly affect the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of West Sulawesi Province. Then, the variables of job training, organizational culture, and job promotion have a significant and simultaneous effect on employee performance at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of West Sulawesi Province.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) To determine the effect of price and income partially on consumer demand and (2) To simultaneously determine the effect of price and income on consumer demand. This research is a quantitative study with two independent variables and one dependent variable with the test tools to be used, namely (1) validity test, (2) reliability test, (3) multiple linear regression test, t-test (partial), and f-test (Simultaneous). The sample used in this study was 96 respondents. Processing research data using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 24.0 software tools to read the direction of the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable partially t-test and f-test. The results showed that price partially affects consumer demand. Income has a partially significant effect on consumer demand. The results show that price and income significantly affect consumer demand.
