Abstract

Tulisan ini memaparkan perkembangan bahasa dalam perspektif kebijakan pemerintahandalam hal ekologi atau lingkungan, ketika bahasa dikolaborasikan dengan kebijakanpemerintahan dan memiliki kaitannya dengan lingkungan. Akan menjadi sebuah perpaduanyang lengkap untuk menjadikan habituasi yang baru di lingkungan pendidikan. Tujuantulisan ini untuk menawarkan salah satu alternatif gagasan terhadap perkembangan bahasadalam perspektif lingkungan dan dibingkai dalam sebuah kebijakan pemerintahan. agartetap terlestarikannya lingkungan dalam kaitannya konsep adiwiyata, dan ditunhangdengan inovasi serta kreativitas konsep-konsep bahasa. Hal ini akan terwujud tataran barudalam lingkungan dan kebahasaan melalui ekolinguistik di Kabupaten Jombang. Penelitianini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dan analisis isi, tulisan ini memperlihatkanbahwa ekolinguistik telah berkembang di Kabupaten Jombang, khususnya di SDN 2Kesamben Jombang yang telah menawarkan konsep terbaru melalui sanitasi literasinya.Kata Kunci: Ekolinguistik, Kebijakan Lembaga Pendidikan, Kabupaten Jombang

Abstract

This community service activity aims to optimize the poetry writing creativity of students through the application of the Picture to Picture method combined with local wisdom values. The service was carried out at the Guidance Studio of the An-Nahdloh Islamic Boarding School, Selangor, Malaysia, on July 29, 2025. The method of implementation of the activity was a workshop that included providing materials, an introduction to the Picture to Picture method, poetry writing exercises, presentations of works, and reflections. The results of the activity showed that students were able to improve their creative writing skills by being more imaginative, communicative, and contextual. The poems produced were full of nuances of religiosity, Islamic boarding school life, and local Malay culture. Thus, the Picture to Picture method has proven effective in developing writing skills based on local wisdom and is suitable for implementation in various educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' reading ability before and after using flashcard learning media and to analyze the effect of using the media on the reading ability of first-grade students at SDN Siwalankerto II Surabaya. This study is motivated by the low initial reading ability of students caused by the use of learning media that is less interesting and tends to be monotonous. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design and a one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 21 first-grade B students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out through reading tests in the form of pretests and posttests, while data analysis used descriptive statistics and paired sample t-tests. The results of the study showed that students' reading ability before using flashcard media was in the sufficient category with an average score of 67.38 and most students had not reached the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). After being given treatment using flashcard media, students' reading ability experienced a significant increase, marked by an increase in the average score and the number of students who achieved learning completion. The results of the hypothesis test indicate a significant effect of flashcard use on students' reading ability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of students' narrative text writing ability after using a series of picture puzzle media in fourth-grade students of SDN Tenggilis Mejoyo I Surabaya. This study uses a quantitative method with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research sample consisted of 27 students. The research instrument was in the form of composing a story that was still random and a narrative text writing test. The pretest results of students who reached the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) with a class average score of 46.55 after being given treatment in the form of a series of picture puzzle media, the posttest results increased to 87.03. The results of the N-Gain calculation obtained a value of 0.75 with a high category. This shows that the series of picture puzzle media can improve the narrative text writing ability of fourth-grade students of SDN Tenggilis Mejoyo I Surabaya

Abstract

This research was conducted due to the low learning motivation of second-grade students of SDN Pakis VIII Surabaya in Indonesian language learning which is still dominated by conventional methods so that students are less active and easily bored. The research used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 29 students. Data were obtained through a learning motivation questionnaire that had met the validity and reliability tests, then analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, and N-Gain Score. The results showed that comic media had a significant effect on student learning motivation (p = 0.000 <0.05). The N-Gain value of 0.67 (67%) was in the moderate category, with an increase in the average motivation score from 3.45 to 4.52.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' reading ability before and after the implementation of the Big Book media and to analyze the effect of using Big Book media on the beginning reading ability of first-grade students at SDN Morokrembangan I Surabaya. This study employed a quantitative approach using a Pre-Experimental Design with a One-Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The research subjects consisted of 20 first-grade students at SDN Morokrembangan I Surabaya. Data were collected through reading ability tests administered as a pretest and posttest, as well as documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics through a t-test. The results showed that the students' reading ability before the implementation of the Big Book media had a mean score of 56.50, which was categorized as low, with a learning mastery level of 29.62%. After the implementation of the Big Book media, the mean score increased to 76.75, which was categorized as high, with a learning mastery level reaching 87.55%. The t-test analysis revealed that the calculated t-value (14.36) was higher than the t-table value (1.70) at the 5% significance level (14.36 > 1.70). Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. It can be concluded that the use of Big Book media has a significant effect on improving the beginning reading ability of first-grade students at SDN Morokrembangan I Surabaya. The Big Book media effectively increased students' learning interest and facilitated their ability to recognize letters, syllables, words, and simple sentences. Therefore, it is considered an appropriate instructional medium for teaching beginning reading in elementary schools.
