Abstract

Kurikulum Cambridge menjadi salah satu alternatif beberapa lembaga pendidikan di Indonesai dalam meningkatkan perkembangan mutu pendidikan yang lebih baik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis implementasi kurikulum Cambridge pada pembelajaran di kelas International Class Program (ICP) di MIN 2 Mojokerto serta mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi oleh tenaga pendidik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum Cambridge, yang diintegrasikan dengan kurikulum nasional, mampu meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dalam berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, dan keterampilan berkomunikasi. Namun, pada pelaksanaannya menghadapi beberapa kendala, seperti kesiapan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran kurikulum Cambridge, pembiasaan penggunaan bahasa Inggris karena faktor lingkungan dan perbendaharaan kosakata, keterlambatan distribusi bahan ajar dari center Cambridge International School (CIS) yang berpusat di SD NU-Trate 1 Gresik, serta beberapa siswa yang terkendala pada pemahaman materi dan soal. Evaluasi pembelajaran melalui tes dan speaking test menunjukkan beberapa siswa dengan hasil yang memenuhi standart kurikulum Cambridge dan beberapa siswa yang masih memerlukan bimbingan lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini menyarankan peningkatan pelatihan bagi guru dan penyesuaian lingkungan pembelajaran untuk mendukung penggunaan bahasa Inggris

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in understanding science concepts, particularly in physics calculation formulas, which has become a significant problem. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Posing learning model integrated with the Wizer.me platform in improving student learning outcomes. The research method is quantitative with a pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study was conducted in a single class consisting of 35 students using cluster random sampling due to the homogeneous characteristics of the population. Data collection techniques involved tests and observations. Data analysis techniques used in this research include prerequisite tests (normality test), instrument tests (validity and reliability tests), hypothesis testing, and N-Gain analysis. The results of the study showed an improvement in student learning outcomes, with an average pretest score of 50.86%, which increased to 79.71% in the posttest. Hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-test yielded a significance value of 0.000, indicating that the difference between pretest and posttest scores was highly significant. The implementation percentage of the Problem Posing model in teacher activities was 97.69%, classified as very good, and in student activities, the percentage was 90.88%, also classified as very good. The average N-Gain value obtained was 0.392, indicating an improvement in learning outcomes in the medium category. These findings suggest that the Problem Posing learning model assisted by Wizer.me is effective in enhancing student’s learning outcomes. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik dalam memahami konsep-konsep IPA terutama rumus perhitungan fisika menjadi permasalahan utama yang dihadapi saat ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran Problem Posing yang dipadukan dengan platform Wizer.me dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Metode dalam penelitian ini kuantitatif dengan pre-eksperimental, khususnya one group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian dilakukan di dalam satu kelas yang terdiri dari 35 siswa dengan Teknik pengambilan sampel cluster random sampling, karena memiliki karakteristik yang homogen. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan soal tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji prasyarat menggunakan uji normalitas, uji instrumen menggunakan uji validitas dan uji reabilitas, uji hipotesis dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan dalam hasil belajar siswa, dengan rata-rata skor pre-test sebesar 50,86% meningkat menjadi 79,71% pada posttest. Pengujian uji hipotesisis menggunakan Paired Sample T-test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000, yang menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan antara nilai pretest dan posttest sangat signifikan. Presentase keterlaksanaan model problem posing pada aktivitas guru 97,69% termasuk dalam kriteria sangat baik dan aktivitas siswa persentase sebesar 90,88% dalam kriteria sangat baik. Nilai N-Gain rata-rata yang diperoleh sebesar 0,392 juga mengindikasikan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dalam kategori sedang. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem posing berbantu wizer.me efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model on the learning outcomes of class VIII students on additive material at MTs Negeri Gresik in the 2024/2024 academic year which is motivated by the difficulties of student learning outcomes. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test post-test control group design. The population of the study was all class VIII students at MTs Negeri Gresik. The sample used was class VIII-B as the experimental class with a total of 36 students and class VIII-A as the control class. The subjects of this study were class VIII A students with a total of 36 students who were taken using the cluster random sampling technique. The data collection technique used a test to measure student learning outcomes. This study uses a data analysis technique for testing the validity of the test sheet through expert judgment, normality test, hypothesis test, and n-gain test. Results of the experimental class hypothesis test. The results of the study showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes in the experimental class compared to the control class. The average pretest sCORE in the experimental class was 43.6111 while the posttest sCORE increased to 82.3611 with a difference in n-gain value of 0.2917. This shows that the CORE learning model is effective in improving students' learning outcomes on additive material. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas model pembelajaran CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII pada materi zat aditif di MTs Negeri Gresik tahun pembelajaran 2024/2024 yang dilatarbelakangi karena adanya kesulitan hasil belajar peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII di MTs Negeri Gresik. Sampel yang digunakan kelas VIII-B sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 36 peserta didik dan kelas VIII-A sebagai kelas kontrol Subjek penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas VIII A dengan jumlah 36 peserta didik yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes untuk mengukur hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data uji validitas lembar tes melalui expert judgement, uji normalitas, uji hipotesis, dan uji n-gain. Hasil uji hipotesis kelas eksperimen, hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada hasil belajar peserta didik di kelas eksperimen dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata pretest di kelas eksperimen adalah 43,6111 sementara nilai posttest meningkat menjadi 82,3611 dengan perbedaan nilai n-gain sebesar 0.2917 hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran CORE efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi zat aditif.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of the TGT (Team Game Tournament) type of cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of class IX students in the natural sciences subject on the inheritance of living things in SMP Negeri 1 Krian. The research conducted was a quantitative research type of quasi-experimental design with a post-test only control group design. The data collection technique in this study was a test while the data analysis technique used a prerequisite test, namely the normality and homogeneity tests, the data obtained were normally distributed and homogeneous. Test the hypothesis using the independent sample t test from the posttest results of student learning outcomes in the experimental class and control class tested statistically showing a significance value of 0.000 0.05, which means that there is a significant influence from the application of the TGT (Team Game Tournament) cooperative learning modelon student learning outcomes on the inheritance of traits in living things at SMP Negeri 1 Krian.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of the discovery learning model in improving student learning outcomes in the material structure and function of plants. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The prerequisite test stage uses normality and homogeneity tests. Data analysis used the Independent Sample T test. This calculation is assisted using the SPSS application. The results of the analysis of the data obtained are that the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.00 which is less than 0.05, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So there is the influence of discovery learning in improving student learning outcomes in the material structure and function of plants.

Abstract

Learning media is one of the most important factors in determining the success of the learning process. This study aims to determine the difference in learning outcomes of seventh grade students of MTs Negeri 1 Sidoarjo before and after implementing ICT learning media. The type of approach in this research is a quantitative approach with an experimental type using data collection techniques through pre-test and post-test. This study uses a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design which is implemented only on one randomly selected group and no stability test is also done to clarify the condition of the group before being given treatment. The results of the research were analyzed using non-parametric tests, namely the Wilcoxon test, which produced a significance value of 0.001, which is smaller than 0.05. This shows that there is an increase between the pretest and posttest scores, which means there is a difference in student learning outcomes before and after using learning media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation and effectiveness of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model in improving students' problem-solving abilities in Ecology material for Grade VII. The research method used was an experiment with a quantitative research approach and also used a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection was carried out using observation sheets, pre-tests and post-tests. The validity test of the instrument used validity and reliability tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and T tests. The research findings showed that the CPS learning model was effective in improving students' problem-solving capacity in the ecology curriculum for grade VII. This was due to a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores, where the post-test scores were higher than the pre-test scores. Based on the research findings, it is recommended that the CPS learning paradigm be used in learning.

Abstract

Self Efficacy (SE) plays an important role in improving students' academic achievement in science education. This study explores the integration of Alternate Reality Games (ARG) and Augmented Reality (AR) technology to improve students' SE during science learning. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by the PRISMA framework, this research analyzes 41 studies published between 2020 and 2024. The PICO methodology was applied: Participants (students in science education), Intervention (ARG and AR implementation), Comparison (traditional teaching methods), and Outcome (improved SE). ARG immerses students in interactive narratives and problem-solving scenarios, fostering critical thinking and resilience, while AR enhances conceptual understanding through immersive and visual simulations of scientific phenomena. The combined ARG and AR app offers a comprehensive learning experience, facilitating deeper engagement and increased confidence in academic abilities. However, challenges such as technological infrastructure and educator readiness remain significant barriers to implementation in developing countries. These findings highlight the complementary roles of ARG and AR in advancing science education, demonstrating their potential to create inclusive and engaging learning environments. Abstract

Does Problem-Based Learning Integrated into PHET Improve Mathematical Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Ability? Objectives: This research aims to examine the effectiveness of the use of PBL combined with PHET rather than PBL about mathematical critical thinking and problem-solving ability. Methods: This research employed an experimental approach involved a sample of 63 students of grade VIII’s favorite MTs in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, divided into 2 classes (PBL class combined with PHET and regular PBL class). The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics combined with Mann-Whitney’s statistical test. Findings: This research finds out that  there is no difference in the influence of the intervention on the application of PBL combined with PHET with the usual PBL group in developing students' mathematical problem-solving ability, and there are differences in the influence of interventions on the implementation of PHET integrated PBL and the application of ordinary PBL in developing students' mathematical critical thinking ability.
