Abstract

As a visible phenomenon where online media is one of the many correspondence media that is often used by the public in general. Likewise, the use of online media such as YouTube to further develop listening skills where students cannot listen well in Indonesian lessons, especially on the theme of living things and plants, because the teachers use boring reading stories without using learning media. So the motivation behind this goal is to see the use of web-based media such as YouTube to further develop students' listening skills. This research uses quantitative methods with the type of pre-experimental research using pretest-posttest. With a sample and population of 22 individuals. Based on data analysis using a t-test with the paired sample t-test formula, t-test using SPPS version 25. From the results of the research data it is known that (Ho) is rejected and (Ha) is accepted with a significance of t-test of 0.00 which is <0.005. Then, at that time, there was an increase in listening skills by utilizing web-based media such as YouTube.

Abstract

Persuasive language style is a style of language that is used with the aim of influencing the interlocutor. This style of language can be found in the speech of Acehnese celebrities when they endorse a product. This style of language is used to conjure up Instagram users or so-called followers to be interested in the goods and services offered by the celebgram. Even though they only rely on language style, in fact the celebrities are able to increase the turnover of online business people who use their services. This is because the language style used is unique, interesting, and creative. In addition, the language style is also combined with persuasive techniques owned by each celebrity. For this reason, this study aims to describe the style of persuasive language and persuasive techniques used by Acehnese celebrities as a strategy in endorsement. The data source of this research is the celebgram speech taken from the Aceh celebrity instagram story which consists of four accounts, namely 1) @cutbul-real, 2) @herlinkenza, 3) @devi.dean , 4) @kakaalfarisi, and 5) @khalidamakmoer . The five accounts were chosen because of the large number of followers and the five celebgrams are the most phenomenal celebs today. The data in this study are in the form of verbal and verbal data, namely the construction of sentences in the celebgram speech that shows a persuasive language style. The data collection was carried out in several stages, namely recording the speech of the Acehnese celebrity, recording the speech in the form of persuasive language, classifying the data, analyzing the data, and drawing conclusions. Furthermore, data analysis was carried out with steps of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the style of language used is in the form of affirmation, comparison, and satire. Abstract

This study aims to investigate the strategy for the leadership of the school principal in improving the quality of teachers at SD Negeri Bumi Arum. This study belongs to qualitative. The results showed that the strategy for the leadership of the school principal in improving the quality of teachers was well implemented, by direct coaching, monthly meetings, teacher working group, provide motivation, give awards to teachers, and further study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Alih kode dan Campur kode pada Komunikasi Guru dan Siswa di SMA 1 Baitussalam Aceh Besar pembelajaran bahasa melalui studi Sosiolinguistik”. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena alih kode dan campur kode yang terjadi dalam komunikasi siswa di SMA 1 Baitussalam dalam artikel alih kode dan campur kode pada guru dan siswa melalui pembelajaran studi sosiolinguistik. Metode yang digunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif kualitatif yang mengumpulkan data berupa pendekatan riset yang bertujuan untuk memahami fenomena sosial secara mendalam dengan cara mengumpulkan data wawancara, observasi dan analisis dokumen. Pendekatan ini berfokus pada pengalihan makna, persepsi, dan pengalaman individu atau kelompok dalam konteks alami mereka, bukan pada angka atau statistik. Dalam proses belajar mengajar di kelas, pihak ketiga meliputi siswa dari kelas X-XI. Saat berlangsungnya kegiatan belajar mengajar di dalam kelas hal ini membuat penutur asli beralih bahasa yang sebelumnya memakai bahasa Indonesia dalam proses pembelajaran, menjadi bahasa daerah yang diucapkan oleh siswa kepada gurunya, disebut perubahan dari situasi formal ke situasi informal dan sebaliknya, sehingga dapat menyebabkan perubahan peralihan bahasa. Adapun faktor penyebab terjadinya pengalihan alih kode dan campur kode dilakukan pada komunikasi guru dan siswa di SMA 1 Baitussalam dengan kesadaran diri hal ini sering dilakukan oleh si penutur. Kata kunci: Alih kode komunikasi guru, artikel pembelajaran studi sosiolinguistik. Abstract This study, entitled "Code Switching and Code Mixing in Teacher-Student Communication at SMA 1 Baitussalam Aceh Besar: Language Learning Through Sociolinguistic Studies," is motivated by the phenomenon of code switching and code mixing that occurs in student communication at SMA 1 Baitussalam in the article "Code Switching and Code Mixing in Teachers and Students Through Sociolinguistic Studies." The method used is a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive design that collects data through a research approach that aims to understand social phenomena in depth by collecting data from interviews, observations, and document analysis. This approach focuses on exploring the meaning, perceptions, and experiences of individuals or groups in their natural contexts, rather than on numbers or statistics. In the teaching and learning process in the classroom, third parties, including students from grades X-XI, are involved. During the teaching and learning activities in the classroom, this causes native speakers to switch languages, from previously using Indonesian in the learning process, to regional languages spoken by students to their teachers. This is called a change from formal to informal situations and vice versa, which can cause changes in language shifts. The factors that cause code switching and code mixing are self-aware, and this is often done by the speaker. Keywords: Teacher communication code switching, sociolinguistic study article.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan semiotika pada novel Presiden Santuy karya Jurnal Hanum dan menentukan komponen dasar semiotika yang terkandung di dalamnya berdasarkan pendekatan Ferdinand de Saussure (1878). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data dari Novel Presiden Santuy karya Jurnal Hanum sebagai data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui pembacaan dan pencatatan data. Analisis data dilakukan dalam dua tahapan, yaitu mengkaji data berdasarkan sembilan jenis semiotika menurut Pateda (2021) dan menganalisis hubungan antara penanda (signifier) dan petanda (signified) menurut Ferdinand de Saussure (1878). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis semiotika yang paling banyak ditemui dalam novel Presiden Santuy karya Jurnal Hanum yakni semiotika analitik yang memiliki 10 data, diikuti dengan semiotika deskriptif sebanyak 7 data, semiotika faunal sebanyak 4 data, semiotika kultural sebanyak 4 data, semiotika natural sebanyak 7 data, semiotika normatif sebanyak 6 data, semiotika sosial sebanyak 5 data, dan semiotika struktural sebanyak 3 data. Analisis komponen dasar semiotika menurut Ferdinand de Saussure menunjukkan terdapat 35 data penanda (signifier) dan 35 data petanda (signified), yang berupa kata, ungkapan, atau tindakan yang menyiratkan makna emosi, harapan, dan konflik. Hubungan penanda dan petanda bersifat arbitrer namun dipahami melalui kebiasaan dan budaya, sehingga makna novel terbentuk secara kontekstual. Kata kunci: Novel, Semiotika, Ferdinand de Saussure, Presiden Santuy. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with Jurnal Hanum's novel President Santuy as secondary data. Data collection techniques include interpretation and recording. Data analysis was conducted in two stages: reviewing the data based on the nine types of semiotics according to Pateda (2021) and analyzing the relationship between the signifier and the signified according to Ferdinand de Saussure (1878). The results of the study indicate that the most common type of semiotics found in Jurnal Hanum's novel President Santuy is analytical semiotics, with 10 data points, followed by descriptive semiotics with 7 data points, faunal semiotics with 4 data points, cultural semiotics with 4 data points, natural semiotics with 7 data points, normative semiotics with 6 data points, social semiotics with 5 data points, and structural semiotics with 3 data points. Analysis of the basic components of semiotics according to Ferdinand de Saussure shows that there are 35 data points of signifiers and 35 data points of signifieds, which are words, expressions, or actions that imply meanings of emotion, hope, and conflict.
