Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using NetSupport School software on environmental pollution subject matter on student learning outcomes. This is a quasi-experimental research. The research design used is a posttest only control group design. The research sample consisted of three groups taken randomly. The first group is the control group which does not use learning multimedia, the second group is experiment group 1 which uses an LCD projector, and the third group is experiment group 2 using NetSupport School software. The data collection instruments are in the form of posttest questions and affective questionnaire sheets. The data analysis technique was carried out using the One-Way ANOVA test. The results showed that: 1). hypothesis testing of cognitive learning outcomes showed that there was a significant effect on all groups. Of the three groups, experiment group 2 had the highest mean value. 2). the hypothesis test of affective learning outcomes showed that there was a significant effect on all groups. Of the three groups, experiment group 2 had the highest mean value. Based on these results, it is concluded that the NetSupport School software application has a significant effect on students’ cognitive and affective learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan STML yang layak 2) menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan STML yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan pendekatan Borg and Gall. Perangkat yang dikembangkan meliputi silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, handout, lembar kegiatan peserta didik  dan instrumen penilaian berupa tes untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik, lembar angket untuk mengukur kelayakan produk, dan respon peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran, dan lembar observasi untuk memperoleh informasi kebutuhan pada studi pendahuluan dan mengukur keterlaksanaan RPP. Prosedur penelitian ini meliputi: (1) studi pendahuluan; (2) perencanaan; (3) penyusunan draf produk; (4) validasi produk; (5) revisi I; (6) uji coba terbatas; (7) revisi II; (8) uji coba luas; (9) revisi III; (10) produk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : 1) perangkat pembelajaran yang dihasilkan layak. Kelayakan dibuktikan dengan rerata skor 4,2 yang masuk ke dalam kriteria sangat baik berdasarkan penilaian oleh dosen ahli, guru, dan teman sejawat. 2) perangkat pembelajaran yang dihasilkan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains. Keefektifan dibuktikan dengan perbedaan gain yang signifikan (p<0,05) antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen pada uji t dengan nilai p=0,001. 3).

Abstract

The character of environmental care is a serious problem in Indonesia, the low character of environmental care has an impact on environmental damage. One of the efforts to improve the character of environmental care for the community is through education, namely through the development of learning devices that can improve the character of environmental care. This study aims: 1) to produce a proper STSE-based device, 2) to produce a STSE-based device that is effective in enhancing the character of environmental care. This research is a development study using the Borg and Gall model. The developed device contains syllabus, lesson plans, handouts, and students worksheets. The product developed was tested on a limited trial to 12 grade X students and wider trials on 37 students using a pretest posttest control group design. The instruments used to assess the product are syllabus validation sheets, lesson plan validation sheets, handout validation sheets, and students worksheets validation sheets. The product was validated by 6 people, including two expert lecturers, two biology teachers, and two peers. The results showed: 1) the products produced were feasible in terms of content, graphics, and linguistics as evidenced by the average score of 4.2 in the very good category. 2) the resulting product is effective to improve the character of environmental care as evidenced by obtaining a score of 0.2 in the low category in the control class and 0.45 in the moderate category in the experimental class.

Abstract

Taufiq Pasiak merupakan seorang ilmuwan neurosains Indonesia yang berhasil memetakan sirkuit spiritual pada otak ketika seseorang mengalami pengalaman spiritual. Aktivitas spiritual menjadi media penyembuhan pada proses psikoterapi sufistik untuk menyembuhkan penyakit fisik maupun mental seseorang. Atas dasar itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep neurosains spiritual menurut pemikiran Taufiq Pasiak, dan mengetahui relevansi konsep neurosains spiritual tersebut terhadap proses penyembuhan pada psikoterapi sufistik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi pustaka. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan metode dokumentasi. Sumber data utama berasal dari buku-buku dan karya Taufiq Pasiak, sementara sumber data pendukung berasal dari referensi-referensi yang sesuai dengan topik pembahasan. Data yang telah diperoleh kemudian dilakukan analisis menggunakan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa konsep neurosains spiritual menurut Taufiq Pasiak merupakan sebuah kajian untuk melihat spiritualitas manusia dari perspektif kesehatan dan kedokteran dengan pendekatan ilmu otak. Taufik Pasiak berhasil memetakan empat komponen otak yang bekerja ketika seseorang melakukan aktivitas spiritual yang disebut sebagai operator neurospiritual (ONS). Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat relevansi antara neurosains spiritual dan psikoterapi sufistik yang berupa aktivitas zikir, shalat, puasa, membaca shalawat, dan berdoa. Pada saat melakukan aktivitas psikoterapi sufistik terdapat sirkuit otak yang bekerja pada bagian korteks prefrontal, area asosiasi, sistem limbik, dan sistem saraf otonom yang juga berpengaruh terhadap kesehatan.

Abstract

Integration of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with religious values in learning is important to do so that material can be conveyed more thoroughly in aspects of students’ lives. So, this study aims to: first, produce and describe STEM-Religion-based worksheets on digestive system materials; second determine the feasibility level of the worksheet developed. This research method uses research and development methods using Analysis Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model. The results of this study are: first, elements of science were developed in the matter of nutritional content, elements of technology were developed in material processing technology and food safety, elements of engineering were developed in the process of designing healthy menus, mathematical elements were developed by calculating calorie needs and food preparation costs. The addition of religion element is divided into 3 sub-topics, namely the topic of the concept of halalan thayyiban food, eating and drinking etiquette according to Islam, and eating portions in Islam. Second, the average product assessment by validators on a scale of five obtained a score of 4.2 with a very good category, so it can be concluded that the developed worksheet is feasible to use.

Abstract

The low character of environmental care has caused various losses to the environment in Indonesia. On the other hand, education and religion have a big role in shaping human character. On that basis, this study aims to develop a biology learning module integrated with Islamic values that is feasible and effective to improve the environmental care character. The stages of development carried out consisted of eight stages were adapted from the Borg and Gall model. The results showed that the module developed is feasible. Feasibility is proven by the results of the assessment conducted by the validator who obtained a score of 4.3 in the excellent category. The modules have also proven to be effective in improving environmental care character. In a qualitative descriptive analysis, the effectiveness is proved by obtaining the percentage of gain in the treatment class by 58% with the category quite effective and by 33% in the control class with the ineffective category. In a quantitative descriptive analysis, the effectiveness is proved by t-test result with p-value (sig) 0.000 less than 0.05 (Sig < 0.05). It means, there is a significant difference between the gain of environmental care character for the treatment and the control class.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) determine the effectiveness of student worksheet based on Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Religion (STEM-R) to improve problem solving skills; 2) determine the effectiveness of STEM-R-based student worksheets to increase students’ nutritional awareness. This is a quasi-experimental research with a pretest posttest control group design. Analysis of the increase in pretest and posttest data for control and experimental classes was carried out using normalized gain data. Quantitative data analysis was performed using the t-test to test the significance of the difference in gain between the control and experimental classes. The results of this study are: 1) the use of STEM-R-based LKPD is effective to improve problem solving skills, the effectiveness is proven by the acquisition of a percentage gain of 66% with a fairly effective category. 2) the use of STEM-R-based LKPD is effective to increase nutritional awareness, the effectiveness is proven by the acquisition of a percentage gain of 58% with a fairly effective category. The quantitative effectiveness of the problem-solving skill gain data and nutritional awareness between the control and experimental classes was also proven by the results of the t-test with a p value (sig) of 0.000 less than 0.05 (Sig <0.05)

Abstract

The practice of treating toothache using prayer and herbs is still used by some people. Therefore, the purpose of the research namely: 1) to find out the practice of prayer and herbal therapy in treating toothache; 2) to know the benefits of prayer and herbal therapy. This research is a qualitative research, with the type of field research. The primary data sources in the study came from therapists and patients, while the secondary data sources came from books, scientific articles, websites and other relevant sources. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study are: 1). therapy is carried out in several stages, first, the therapist reads prayers and short letters in the Koran; second, the therapist takes the sap of the Pandanus tectorius plant and attaches it to the outer area of the cheek which is close to the part of the tooth that hurts; third, the therapist ends the treatment by reading hamdalah. 2). according to the narrative of the patient, this therapy is beneficial to his recovery. Through the prayer given, the patient feels calm and peace of mind. Psychological conditions like this can bring out the hormone of happiness which also acts as a pain reliever. Scientifically, the Pandanus tectorius plant contains natural chemicals that are anti-inflammatory to reduce inflammation, analgesics to relieve pain, and antibiotics to kill germs and prevent infection. The benefits of prayer and natural chemicals are indicated to be intermediaries in the patient's recovery.
