Abstract

The production of batik experiences an increasing demand every year. This requires an improvement in both productivity and flexibility in the batik production process. Layout becomes one of the crucial factors in enhancing productivity and flexibility since it influences the material handling process. Well-designed facility layouts can improve the smoothness of material transfer operations, reducing material handling distances and, consequently, lowering material handling costs. This research aims to provide the best alternative layout. Several stages are carried out in this research, including classification to group cells based on part family, using the Rank Order Clustering (ROC) and Similarity Coefficient (SC) methods. Next, the calculation of the shortest transfer distance is conducted using Distance-Based Score Calculation, along with the use of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to determine the department sequence. The research results show that the same cell grouping is achieved using both ROC and SC methods, with Cell 1 {Spray paint, proxy paint, Compressor, Welding, Grinding}, and Cell 2 {CNC Milling and CNC Turning}. Based on the distance traveled problem, it is found that the travel distance on the existing intuitive layout and the new suggested flow is 315.75 and 292.96, respectively. Therefore, by implementing group technology to implement cell manufacturing, it can provide a more effective and efficient material flow and Work In Process (WIP). Meanwhile, the results PSO yields a total minimum travel distance of 7,701.851 meters and a total material handling cost of Rp. 220 per meter, resulting in a total material handling cost of Rp 1,694,407.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan kolaborasi pelaku UMKM di Kabupaten Kuningan Jawa Barat melalui pendekatan berbasis nilai religius dan sosial. Pendekatan ini penting karena pelaku UMKM sering menghadapi tantangan berupa ketidakpastian ekonomi dan lemahnya kerja sama, yang menghambat keberlanjutan usaha mereka. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan tatap muka, diskusi kelompok, simulasi studi kasus, dan evaluasi berbasis kuesioner serta observasi langsung.Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis nilai religius berhasil meningkatkan kepercayaan diri pelaku UMKM dalam mengambil keputusan bisnis, dengan 85% peserta menunjukkan perubahan positif. Selain itu, pelatihan nilai sosial meningkatkan tingkat kolaborasi antar pelaku UMKM dari 30% menjadi 70%, yang terlihat dari inisiatif kerja sama baru di antara peserta. Fenomena lain yang tidak terduga adalah munculnya pemimpin informal di kalangan peserta, yang menunjukkan potensi penguatan komunitas UMKM secara mandiri. Implikasi temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan berbasis nilai religius dan sosial dapat menjadi strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan keberlanjutan UMKM. Program ini membuka peluang pengembangan lebih lanjut, seperti integrasi teknologi digital untuk memperluas dampak positifnya.

Abstract

This research investigates the application of optimization methods to the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows in the context of bread distribution for the efficiency of different approach for managing large-scale goods delivery. Managing this distribution requires considering complexities such as travel distance, vehicle capacity, and time windows. Specifically, it compares the performance of ALNS, SA, and GA in minimizing total travel distance while adhering to strict delivery windows. The research is conducted across different cases, each distinguished by varying levels of demand, nodes, and time windows for each case. Based on four cases, ALNS is the most effective method among the three methods in optimizing bread distribution. It was averagely 33.02% more efficient than SA and 57.21% than GA for minimizing travel distance and offering a robust solution, improving delivery efficiency across different case scenarios.

Abstract

Sales predictions on building material products today have applied an artificial neural network approach. One of the products of building material that need to be predicted for sales is polyvinylchloride (PVC) ceilings. Most companies haven’t implementing prediction technique for the sale of PVC ceilings, so this study aims to predict PVC ceiling sales with the backpropagation neural network (BPNN) method using the R algorithm. Unit gradients are calculated using the average absolute per cent error value (MAPE) to minimize the total square errors of network output. The results showed that the network architecture used was 4 to 6-1 and obtained an accuracy of 88% based on the lowest MAPE value.

Abstract

Holistic-based character education is an approach that emphasizes synergy between schools, families, and communities in shaping students' moral values. This study explores the effectiveness of a holistic approach in character education to support the achievement of SDGs 4 in secondary schools. The research used a mixed method, involving quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with students, teachers, and parents in three high schools. The survey measures perceptions of the effectiveness of character education programs, while in-depth interviews explore implementation experiences and challenges. The data is analyzed with statistical and thematic approaches to provide comprehensive insights. The results show that the holistic-based character education program significantly improves students' moral values, such as honesty, responsibility, and the ability to work together. Parental involvement has been proven to strengthen family communication and support character education at home. Obstacles such as limited parental time indicate the need for flexibility in program implementation.

Abstract

The emergence of podcasts in the digital era has become a new alternative for audiences who are getting bored with existing audio content. In today's digital era, technology is being consumed massively, podcasts play a role in shaping people's thinking, behavior and culture. This study aims to determine the implications of podcasts in changing audience thinking and behavior. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data collection techniques used were through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation study. The data analysis technique used in this study is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. Meanwhile, the data validity test was checked using the source triangulation technique. The results of the research show that the existence of Podcasts in the digital era cannot be separated from its very flexible accessibility. Podcasts are the only media that includes a variety of interesting information content that can be consumed or enjoyed through applications connected via the internet network. In addition, listening to podcasts can have a very influential impact on the audience, from cognitive, behavioral, to cultural aspects in society.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the communication behavior of teenagers using online games and to determine the factors that influence the communication behavior of teenagers using online games. This study uses a qualitative method. The data collection techniques used were through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used in this study is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. Meanwhile, the validity of the data was checked using the source triangulation technique. The results of this study indicate that 1) The communication behavior of online game users occurs because of habitual factors and emotional factors that occur in themselves. This behavior refers to changes in attitudes, behavior and also changes in conveying information. 2) There are six indicators of factors that influence the communication behavior of teenagers using online games, including the following: Lack of attention from those closest to them, depression, lack of control, lack of activity, environment and parenting.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: 1) to determine the interpersonal communication model of the village head in fostering the younger generation, 2) to find out the forms of interpersonal communication of the village head in fostering the younger generation, 3) to determine the effect of interpersonal communication on the village head of Sakerta Timur District Darma Kuningan Regency in fostering the younger generation. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used include: observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used in this research is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. Meanwhile, the validity of the data was checked using the source triangulation technique. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The interpersonal communication model of the Village Head in fostering the younger generation by using a linear model, an interactive model and a transactional model of the three models is used in interacting between the Village Head and youth in East Sakerta in formal and non-formal activities. 2) The form of interpersonal communication of the Village Head in fostering the younger generation, does not escape the form of interpersonal communication that is often used daily by youth, including the first form of interpersonal communication through conversation, dialogue and sharing. 3) The effect of the Village Head's interpersonal communication in fostering the younger generation is to express concern for others, find oneself, discover the outside world, build and maintain harmonious relationships, and influence attitudes and behavior.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the role of public relations in the era of artificial intelligence. The research method is carried out using a qualitative method that focuses on library research. The data collection technique uses library techniques by collecting library materials related to the object of discussion under study. The results of the literature study show that ways are needed to strengthen data analysis and various skills to remain relevant and effective in the era of artificial intelligence. These include utilising technology and data analysis tools to obtain accurate and clear information, understanding how to process data and create reports that are easy to understand, improving the quality of media relations to remain relevant and effective in the AI era, building good relationships with the media and understanding emerging media trends. Strengthening publication strategies and improving the quality of content presented to the media, responding quickly to communication crises in the era of artificial intelligence, being able to utilise technology and data analysis tools to identify potential crises, and being able to create stand-by statements, draft press releases, and hold press conferences to respond effectively to communication crises.

Abstract

The phenomenon of da'wah on Instagram raises questions about social learning (social learning) Instagram as a medium of da'wah and can be seen from the many findings of the hijrah movement campaign through Instagram. This is not a few young people who study religion through social media, one of which is through Instagram. However, the rise of #hijrah on Instagram is not enough to indicate the success of da'wah. So the phenomenon of migration on Instagram does not guarantee a change in a person. Therefore, da'wah can be said to be effective if it is able to educate, motivate or change the behavior of the target da'wah for the better (hijrah) religiously. This study aims to determine audience attention, audience retention, audience motor reproduction, and audience motivation in accessing da'wah content on social media Instagram on the account @shiftmedia.id. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. The informants in this study were students IAI Bunga Bangsa Cirebon who joined or became followers on the Instagram account @shiftmedia.id as many as 8 people. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, checking the validity of research data using source triangulation techniques and method triangulation to test the validity of data related to the research problem studied by the researcher. The results of this study indicate that the delivery of da'wah through video content via Instagram on the account @shiftmedia.id can be said to be effective. This can be seen from the da'wah video on the Instagram account @shiftmedia.id that is able to provide religious understanding and shape the motivation and behavior of hijrah on informants. However, the motivation and behavior of hijrah are also influenced by the intensity and attention of the informants in accessing the da'wah videos on the account. A person with a higher level of attention, retention and motor reproduction will produce greater hijrah motivation and more progressive hijrah behavior through social learning.
