Abstract

OF DISASTER ADAPTATION MODELS IN SENG HIE AND SUNGAI KAKAPThe fact that there was a flood due to annual high tides in the waterfront area did not make the area uninhabitable. Seng Hie and Sungai Kakap Village are waterfront areas that have become settlements which survived and adapted from the past until now. Buildings in these two areas are changing and undergoing renovation. This study aims to identify forms of adaptation models in terms of building elements and behavior. In this study, the building elements are limited to the building envelope consisting of floors, walls, and roofs. The method in this study is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this research are triangulation techniques (observation, interviews and documentation study). The objects of this study were 15 houses in the Seng Hie area and 25 houses in Sungai Kakap Village, which were determined in regional segments. This object is chosen randomly as a sample of each regional segment. The results of this study are found 5 types of disaster adaptation models in which each model has a different combination of building adaptation and behavior adaptation.

Abstract

Coastal areas are one of the forest ecosystems that have abundant resources because it is a combination of rich marine ecosystems and terrestrial ecosystems. One of the most important ecosystems in coastal areas with resources, ecosystems and the environment is the mangrove forest area. Mangrove forest is a coastal resource that has a high carrying capacity for life, especially from the functions it contains such as the ecosystem contained therein, natural resources and economic use. In addition to being a meeting place for marine and terrestrial ecosystems, mangrove forests can also be used as a place of conservation, tourism and education. Sungai Kakap is a sub-district in Kubu raya that has a coastal area one of which is in Sungai Kupah Village. The mangrove forest area in Sungai Kupah Village has become one of the tourist icons in Sungai Kupah Village. existing mangrove ecotourism contains beautiful mangrove forests and their ecosystems in the mangrove forest, but as a mangrove ecotourism area it lacks ideal and optimal infrastructure and supporting spaces for recreational, educational, conservative tourism and the area becomes monotonous. The development of mangrove ecotourism areas in Sungai Kupah village must be carried out with the design of the area to restore ecotourism functions and develop the potential that exists in the mangrove ecotourism area in Sungai Kupah Village.

Abstract

The society of Kubu Raya Regency has also begun to enjoy drinking coffee, which is shown by the opening of café franchises. In addition, Kubu Raya Regency is the largest coffee producer in West Kalimantan, which produces coffee with a unique flavor. This potential can be beneficial, however the coffee industry condition tends to be slow in progress. The aim of this project is to design facilities for the coffee community and non-coffee community with a climate-responsive design and use of natural elements as natural circulation and natural lighting. The method used in this project consists of, analysis and synthesis techniques. This project is located at Jalan Arteri Supadio, Sungai Raya District, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan. The theme is "Kubu Raya Coffee Communtiy Journey" by forming a coffee community through commercial and educational facilities. Based on educational activities, there are coffee information rooms, personal coffee labs, roasting areas and private coffee classes. The main shape of the building is square with the curved linear circulation, resulting a void that provides natural air and natural lighting. The void area also uses as a coffee garden with a sitting area. The roof is inspired by the Kubu Raya Menanjak logo therefore the roof forms letter "M". The materials used are red bricks, unfinished concrete and steel.

Abstract

Culinary is a basic need that is related to the cultural results of society. In an effort to preserve culinary culture, it is necessary to design a culinary tourism center as a recreation area to reflect the characteristics of the city of Pontianak. From a geographical perspective, the city of Pontianak is divided by the Kapuas Riverlandscape city, so it can be realized aspoint of view main. Designing a culinary tourism center by optimizing visual contact that prioritizes the river body as the front porch of the building so as to create public open space to increase community accessibility to the use of water bodies. To realize development that does not damage the environmental conditions of rivers, sustainable development is needed with an environmentally friendly architectural approach. The design is planned to create a healthy space through the selection of building materials and systems applied. Design has three main functions, namely recreational, commercial and service. The results of the design are design products for buildings with dynamic articulated forms to create a recreational atmosphere. The main aim of the design is to create a recreational space to accommodate street vendors and culinary-related facilities with spatial planning on the banks of the Kapuas river, Pontianak City. The building consists of three masses arranged radially to create natural ventilation and lighting that can be oriented to the mass of the building as well as circulation from all directions.

Abstract

Sungai Kakap Village is a coastal village located at the mouth of the Kapuas River. Sungai Kakap Village offers coastal culinary delights such as seafood and coastal environments often used as photo spots for the enchanting sunrise and sunset. The potential of this coastal area is applied to the design of a floating restaurant. There are four methods used in designing the floating restaurant. Firstly, the design object is the "Sungai Kakap Floating Restaurant." Secondly, the types of data and data collection techniques used include collecting primary and secondary data through observation, documentation, interviews, and literature sources. Thirdly, there are analysis techniques, divided into technical analysis and synthesis techniques that produce conceptual conclusions from site analysis such as zoning and circulation. The fourth stage is the design stage, which is the final stage. Based on the explanation, the potential of Sungai Kakap Village can be developed into an attractive restaurant. The attraction of the restaurant lies in utilizing the coastal potential, where the potential of the coastal area is applied to the design of a floating restaurant. The applied floating concept includes the building's image as a restaurant, the building being open and environmentally friendly, and the building having outward orientation and inviting the public.
