Abstract

The spread of the Covid-19 outbreak is a serious problem that threatens the health and must be addressed immediately. People are required to comply with health protocols, one of which is by wearing a mask. The use of masks is an effort to minimize the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. The high demand for masks, especially medical masks, causes scarcity and high prices in the market. As an alternative, a cloth mask is needed that can be used daily for activities for the community during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this community service activity is to socialize the proper and correct use of cloth masks. This service activity also aims to provide training to housewives to make masks independently from cloth that can be used in daily activities. Besides functioning as a prevention for the Covid-19 virus, cloth masks can also be sold as an effort for housewives during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods of activity and implementation are carried out through outreach, training, and mentoring approaches.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major socio-economic impact on the community, especially the decline in income and job losses. The urgency of economic needs makes people make online loans that are illegal and have very high interest rates. The lack of public knowledge about licensed and illegal online loans has resulted in debtors being trapped in large debts and spreading personal data. Considering that rural communities who have low levels of education and knowledge are victims of prize draw scams which are disseminated via short message service (SMS) and telephone calls. Therefore, there is a need for socialization about illegal online loans and prize draw fraud to the community, especially village communities. Abstract

The food industry is a consistently growing sector, even in challenging economic conditions, driven by population growth and increased demand. Recognizing its importance, the Indonesian government has identified the food and beverage industry as a key sector in its Industry 4.0 roadmap. However, challenges such as reliance on imported raw materials and high labor absorption rates persist. This study analyzes the impact of cost structure on the value-added in Indonesia's food industry from 2017 to 2021, using data from Indonesia Statistics on large and medium industries. The Panel Data Regression results reveal that raw material costs and fixed capital costs positively and significantly affect value-added. These findings suggest that effective cost management, innovation, and the use of advanced technology are crucial for optimizing value-added in this sector.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of demographic factors, particularly declining fertility rates and an aging population, on Japan’s economic growth from 1960 to 2022. Additionally, it analyzes key macroeconomic variables, including healthcare expenditure, interest rates, and inflation, that influence the country’s economy. Using quantitative time-series data and the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM), this research evaluates the short- and long-term effects of these variables on economic growth. The findings indicate that, in the long run, population aging and high interest rates significantly negatively affect economic growth. In contrast, healthcare expenditure and moderate inflation have a positive impact. Population aging slows economic expansion by increasing pension and healthcare costs, while high interest rates discourage investment and consumption. Conversely, healthcare expenditure, as an investment in human capital, enhances labor productivity, and moderate inflation stimulates economic activity by promoting consumption and investment. However, in the short term, none of these variables exhibit a significant impact on economic growth, suggesting that policy measures and demographic changes require time to influence the broader economy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the work motivation of Generation Z (Gen Z) in Indonesia by using attribution theory as a framework to interpret the influence of internal and external factors. The study was conducted through a systematic review of 36 scientific articles published between 2019 and 2025 obtained from Google Scholar, SINTA, and Garuda. The analysis results show that external factors have a more dominant influence of 58% compared to internal factors of 42%. External factors, such as social environment, organizational culture, digital technology, work flexibility, and career development, drive Gen Z’s motivation through the creation of connectedness, efficiency, work-life balance, and growth opportunities. Meanwhile, internal factors, including self-development, autonomy, and meaningful work, strengthen their intrinsic motivation. These findings emphasize that organizations in Indonesia need to develop a collaborative and adaptive work culture, in line with the characteristics of Gen Z who value togetherness and meaningful work, in contrast to the tendency of Gen Z in some European countries who are more individualistic. Thus, this study provides practical insights for the Indonesian workplace in designing human resource management strategies that meet the expectations of the next generation.
