Abstract

Purpose – This study explores the integration of religious character education with science education at SMK KHAS Kempek, Cirebon, highlighting the necessity for a holistic educational approach that fosters both moral and academic competencies in students. The research aims to fill the gap between theoretical frameworks and practical implementation in character education, by focusing on the integration of religious and scientific values within a modern educational setting. Design/methods/approach – employing a qualitative and descriptive methodology, this study involved field research at SMK KHAS Kempek, combining interviews, participative observations, and documentary analysis. Primary data was collected through interviews with school administrators, teachers, and students, while secondary data was gathered from academic journals and online articles relevant to religious character and science education. Findings – The results indicate that the integrated educational model at SMK KHAS Kempek is effective in enhancing both the moral and intellectual development of students. The study found that religious teachings integrated with scientific concepts help create a learning environment conducive to both spiritual and empirical understanding. This approach not only aligns with national educational goals but also provides a framework that can be adapted by other educational institutions in Indonesia. Research implications – This study suggests that other Indonesian educational institutions can adopt a similar integrated educational model to achieve comprehensive character development and effective scientific learning. However, further research is needed to understand the broader application of this approach in different educational contexts.

Abstract

This article discusses the use of Cochineal, a food coloring derived from insects, in the context of a halal perspective in the pharmaceutical industry. The purpose of this article highlights the importance of halal compliance in the production of pharmaceutical products, including the use of halal additives such as Cochineal. This method presents a literature review of fatwas and research related to the halal status of Cochineal as a food ingredient. This review uses primary and secondary data, including direct surveys to Cochineal manufacturers and halal certification bodies, as well as scientific literature and reliable sources related to the halal status of Cochineal. The data was analyzed qualitatively, taking into account halal principles in Islam, pharmaceutical standards, and global food safety requirements. The study also utilized advanced analytical technologies, such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and infrared spectroscopy, to detect and analyze the presence of non-halal contaminants in Cochineal food coloring. It was concluded that although Cochineal has been widely used as a food coloring, its halal status is still a matter of debate among scholars. Therefore, further research is needed to determine the halal status of Cochineal food coloring in halal perspective. Keywords: Cochineal, food coloring, halal, pharmaceutical, fatwa Artikel ini membahas penggunaan Cochineal, pewarna makanan yang berasal dari serangga, dalam konteks perspektif halal dalam industri farmasi. Tujuan artikel ini menyoroti pentingnya kepatuhan halal dalam produksi produk farmasi, termasuk penggunaan bahan tambahan halal seperti Cochineal. Metode ini menyajikan tinjauan literatur tentang fatwa dan penelitian yang berkaitan dengan status halal Cochineal sebagai bahan makanan. Kajian ini menggunakan data primer dan sekunder, termasuk survei langsung ke produsen Cochineal dan lembaga sertifikasi halal, serta literatur ilmiah dan sumber-sumber terpercaya terkait status halal Cochineal. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif, dengan mempertimbangkan prinsip-prinsip halal dalam Islam, standar farmasi, dan persyaratan keamanan pangan global. Penelitian ini juga memanfaatkan teknologi analisis canggih, seperti kromatografi cair kinerja tinggi (HPLC) dan spektroskopi inframerah, untuk mendeteksi dan menganalisis keberadaan kontaminan non-halal dalam pewarna makanan Cochineal. Kesimpulan bahwa meskipun Cochineal telah digunakan secara luas sebagai pewarna makanan, status kehalalannya masih menjadi perdebatan di antara para ulama. Oleh karena itu, penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk menentukan status kehalalan pewarna makanan Cochineal dalam perspektif halal. Kata kunci: Cochineal, pewarna makanan, halal, farmasi, fatwa

Abstract

This study aims to develop an integrated Artificial intelligence (AI) model to enhance literacy and public understanding of Sharia bank product contracts in Indonesia. Adopting a qualitative methodology with secondary data, the study explores AI models as tools to improve societal comprehension and decision-making processes. The findings outline a comprehensive AI integration framework that can be implemented across various sectors, including the Fatwa Council, government, Sharia banks, MSMEs, and the general public. The proposed framework comprises eight key stages: the formulation of fatwas and regulations for Sharia contracts, the adjustment of contracts based on data and real-world application, recommendations for refining the execution of Sharia contracts, the implementation of these contracts in financial products, dissemination of relevant contract information, identification of challenges in contract implementation, public education and simulation of Sharia contracts, and addressing public misunderstandings. It is crucial that all stakeholders, including governments, MSMEs, and the public, actively participate in this process, ensuring governmental facilitation and increased public awareness of the positive impact of AI utilization in this context.

Abstract

This article explores the intersection of mathematics and Islamic values, emphasizing their roles in education and cultural development. The primary goal is to elucidate how mathematics serves not only as a tool for intellectual development but also as a means to instill character and ethical values in learners. The study addresses the problem of integrating abstract mathematical concepts with moral teachings rooted in Islamic principles, aiming to enhance students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills while fostering virtues like honesty and diligence. Methodologically, the article reviews literature on mathematical characteristics and their application in Islamic civilization, particularly in science and technology. It also examines Quranic perspectives on mathematics and the universe, highlighting how mathematical principles reflect the eternal attributes of Allah. The analysis draws on historical and theological insights to demonstrate how mathematics can inspire spiritual growth and appreciation for divine creation. Results indicate that mathematics, when integrated with Islamic teachings, promotes ethical behavior and enhances students' understanding of the universe's order and beauty. This study contributes to the broader discourse on educational strategies that integrate faith-based values with academic disciplines, promoting a balanced worldview and ethical consciousness among learners. In conclusion, the synthesis of mathematics and Islamic values offers a comprehensive framework for character development and intellectual growth, underscoring the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in contemporary education.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to conduct a comprehensive review of the existing literature on the relationship between Islamic values and dietary patterns, focusing on how these values affect individual and community health. Research methodology: A qualitative research methodology was employed using a literature review approach to analyze academic journal articles, books, and research reports published in the last five years. This method allows for an in-depth exploration of relevant studies and theoretical frameworks regarding Islamic dietary principles. Results: The findings indicate that the principles of halal and haram food significantly contribute to individual health by promoting cleanliness, preventing harmful substances, and fostering strong, social bonds. Halal food choices not only support physical health but also enhance spiritual well-being and social cohesion, especially through shared meals and communal eating practices. Conclusions: Overall, the application of Islamic values in food science offers strong potential to improve individual and public well-being. By adhering to halal principles and balanced eating, Muslims can achieve better physical and spiritual health outcomes. This review provides a solid foundation for developing programs and encouraging further research in the field. Limitations: This review is limited to literature published in the last five years, which may exclude older, but relevant, research on the topic. Contribution: Useful for education and socialization on healthy and halal food in the fields of health, social studies, and education, particularly for the younger generations.

Abstract

Learning entrepreneurship education for creative children of Gen Z age in high school as a step to prepare them to become entrepreneurship through entrepreneurship education learning activities. Emphasis on entrepreneurial education for creative children on handicraft products. The research approach is oriented to the philosophy of phenomenology with qualitative methods. The research sample used purposive sampling. Inductive data collection techniques: (1) interviews (2) observation and (3) documentation. Research data analysis: (1) data reduction, (2) data display, (3) (4) verification. Data sources include: (1) primary data and (2) secondary data. The primary data are grade XI students, and secondary data: teachers, principals and school administrative staff. The phenomena of the research explain that learning occurs in teacher-student dialogue and there is a transformation of changes in student learning, such as: students are able to make creative products, collaborative learning between students, group learning, independent, critical thinking, focusing on problem solving, making creative products in the form of crafts according to the needs of the community. The Project-based Learning learning model contributes to the development of entrepreneurial creativity in student entrepreneurship education learning.

Abstract

Pembelajaran pendidikan kewirausahaan anak-anak kreatif usia Gen Z di Sekolah Menengah Atas sebagai langkah mempersiapkan mereka menjadi entrepreneurship melalui kegiatan pembelajaran penedidikan kewirausahaan. Penekanan Pendidikan kewirausahaan anak-anak kreatif pada produk kerajinan. Pendekatan penelitian berorientasi filsafat penomenologi dengan metode kualitatif. Sampel penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data induktif: (1) interviews (2) observation dan (3) dokumentasi. Analisis data penelitian: (1) reduksi data (2) display data, (3) (4) verifikasi. Sumber data meliputi: (1) data primer dan (2) data sekunder. Data primer adalah siswa kelas XI, dan data sekumder: guru, kepala sekolah dan staf administrasi sekolah. Phenomena hasil penelitian menjelaskan pembelajaran terjadi dialog guru dan siswa dan terjadi transformasi perubahan pada pembelajaran siswa, seperti: siswa mampu membuat produk kreatif, pembelajaran kolaborasi antar siswa, belajar kelompok, mandiri, berpikir kritis, berfokus pada pemecahan masalah, pembuatan produk kreatif berupa kerajinan sesuai yang dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat. Model pembelajaran Project based Learning berkontibusi terhadap pengembangan kreativitas entrepreneurship dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan kewirausahaan siswa.
