Abstract

Indonesia’s age demographic bonus increases in 2021, it indicates a positive signal towards the higher proportion of productive age which has implications for increasing competitiveness and bargaining power of the Indonesian people. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, technology has been widely used in the teaching and learning process. As an effort to improve the learning process, support from several aspects is needed, one of the important things is the learning model itself. The virtual face-to-face learning model (Online) adopted in this study includes 4 stages (4P) namely Pembukaan (opening), Pendalaman (deepening), Penerapan (application), and Perenungan (reflection), supported by the use of technology in teaching and learning activities. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the learning process using the 4P learning model, and the use of technology in improving knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the student learning process. The research method was implemented through limited trials on 2 subjects: Risk Management and Sustainable Tourism Management, by adapting the classroom action research model. While the data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis. From the research, it was found that there was an increase in students' pre-test and post-test scores for two courses, this concluded that the 4P learning model succeeded in increasing student competence and could be applied in various courses at different times.

Abstract

Micro-credentials are considered a potential solution for enhancing the quality of human resources in Indonesia, especially among university students. This study investigates factors influencing the acceptance and use of micro-credentials using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). It focuses on the roles of Perceived Usefulness (X1) and Perceived Ease of Use (X2) in shaping Attitude Toward Use (Y) of micro-credentials. A quantitative approach was employed, collecting data through questionnaires from 24 students at Ciputra University Surabaya. The data were analyzed using SPSS with multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that Perceived Usefulness (X1) significantly impacts Attitude Toward Use (Y), while Perceived Ease of Use (X2) does not have a significant individual effect. These findings offer insights into how universities can utilize micro-credentials to improve student engagement and learning experiences, preparing them for the workforce. This study supports the development of education and the enhancement of human resource quality in Indonesia, demonstrating the relevance and effectiveness of micro-credentials in higher education.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between compensation, non-physical work environment, extrinsic motivation, and employee productivity at CV Samudra Kiat Jaya, A coconut briquette manufacturer in Sidoarjo, East Java, Indonesia. Analysis of the internal data from August 2023 to February 2024 reveals concerning fluctuations in productivity levels, alongside an employee turnover rate of 13.5%, indicating potential performance issues within the workforces. Employing an explanatory qualitative research design, this study uses partial least Square – Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) for data analysis, with an employee sample of 72 collected via Google Forms. Findings demonstrate that both compensation and non-physical work environment positively and significantly influence extrinsic motivation among employees. Furthermore, extrinsic motivation is shown to enhance employee productivity significantly, with both compensations and non-physical work environments exerting a positive impact on productivity indirectly through extrinsic motivation. These results underline the importance of effective compensation strategies and a supportive non-physical work environment in enhancing employee performance and retention, ultimately benefiting the organization’s productivity levels.

Abstract

Family enterprises are the most important contributors to Indonesia’s economic resilience. However, the issue of family business succession persists. Female heirs are capable of carrying on the family business. Female entrepreneurs and family business successors in Indonesia and around the world are uncommon. The motivations of female family business heirs will be investigated using self-determination theory. Interview protocols and Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis are used in this qualitative investigation. According to the study, female motivations for developing relationships and self-development exceed women’s autonomy. All three female informants desired cash guarantees as well as repayment to their parents and the family business. Self improvement and family business collaboration are the third motivational trajectory. According to the study, family business players must create possibilities for Indonesian female entrepreneurs’ successors to have careers, build skills, and continue the family business in order for them to feel financially secure and motivated to take over the family firm.

An effective feedback from their mentor can influence student’s academic performance in a positive way. A quantitative-descriptivedesign was used in this research. A random sampling questionnaire and secondary data from Entrepreneurship 2 program of Universitas Ciputra such as overall student’s grades were used to obtain the result. The finding of this research consequently helps the lecturers to design a better feedback giving and seeking behaviour.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to enhance students’ professional attitude and resilience by focusing on key competencies such as communication, leadership, problem-solving, time management, collaboration, and professional ethics. These skills equip students to adapt and compete in dynamic environments.Method – This study adopts an adapted classroom action research approach with a limited trial, focusing on quantitative assessment. Unlike traditional CAR, this study emphasizes a single intervention phase, using pre-tests and post-tests to evaluate students’ professional attitudes and resilience through an eight-item test. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS for comparative hypothesis testing. Findings – The results indicate no significant difference between students' pre-test (3.52) and post-test (3.45) scores, and as shown by the paired sample t-test p-value (0.654 > 0.05), the intervention did not lead to a statistically significant improvement. Several factors contributed to the lack of progress in students’ understanding of professionalism and resilience, including inadequate structured guidance (scaffolding), the absence of reflective sessions after industry visits, and limited discussions on pre-test results. Research Implications – This study highlights that the success of experience project learning in enhancing students' professional attitudes and resilience depends on structured scaffolding. Teachers and mentors must provide systematic guidance throughout the learning process. This study’s limitation is its small sample size at Happy Family High School, which may affect generalizability to other institutions with different student demographics and learning environments.
