Abstract

Pelatihan workshop yang dilakukan oleh Fakultas Teknologi Informasi Program Studi Informatika Universitas Ciputra bertujuan untuk memperluas wawasan para fasilitator Yayasan Kaki Dian Emas (YKDE) dalam literasi digital. YKDE dipilih berdasarkan dari interview melalui WhatsApp messenger maupun menelpon langsung. Hal karena pelatihan ini dilakukan pada masa pandemic Covid-19. Pelatihan ini diperuntukkan untuk fasilitator YKDE yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Kebutuhan media untuk berbagai cerita atau pengalaman menjadi hal yang penting. Melalui kegiatan ini, para fasilitator menjadi lebih terbuka wawasannya untuk menggunakan media website online. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan tersebut, mereka bisa langsung menerapkan dan membuat website untuk kepentingan berbagai informasi sehingga fasilitator di seluruh Indonesia bisa saling berbagi informasi secara real time.

Abstract

Pelatihan dalam bentuk pembelajaran melalui daring kini semakin sering dilakukan, terutama di bidang pemrograman yang merupakan dasar utama di rumpun ilmu komputer. Salah satu hal yang mendorong pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring ini adalah situasi global yang mengharuskan pembatasan jarak akibat adanya pandemi Covid-19. Kemajuan teknologi berupa penyebaran jaringan internet dan ketersediaan berbagai aplikasi yang menjadi penunjang pembelajaran daring ini. Hal ini juga dibantu dengan tersedianya berbagai aplikasi lain yang bisa membantu untuk pengajaran dalam bentuk presentasi maupun untuk penilaian ujian yang siap digunakan untuk pembelajaran daring. Kemajuan teknologi ini tentunya merupakan hal yang baik, namun ternyata masih banyak kendala yang dihadapi bagi para peserta pembelajaran daring untuk mengadopsi teknologi tersebut. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut dirumuskan sebuah rumusan masalah untuk penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana melakukan identifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesuksesan proses pelatihan pemrograman yang dilakukan secara daring? Dan Faktor-faktor apa yang berdampak pada pemahaman materi bagi peserta pelatihan? Proses identifikasi faktor-faktor yang dapat mendorong kesuksesan pelatihan berbasis online merupakan fokus dari penelitian ini. Langkah awal adalah dengan melakukan proses pengumpulan data menggunakan survei dan kuesioner yang sudah disusun berdasarkan pada metode Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), kemudian data dianalisis berdasarkan statistika deskriptif. Penelitian ini berhasil melakukan identifikasi bagaimana seharusnya pelatihan berbasis daring dilakukan dengan efektif berdasarkan faktor-faktor penting yang sudah teridentifikasi.

Abstract

The pandemic of COVID-19 has altered the way people learn. Learning has moved from offline to online throughout this pandemic. Predicting student performance based on relevant data has opened up a new field for educational institutions to improve teaching and learning processes, as well as course curriculum adjustments. Machine learning technology can assist universities in forecasting student performance so that necessary changes in lecture delivery and curriculum can be made. The performance of the pupils was predicted using machine learning techniques in this research. Open University (OU) educational data is examined. Demographic, engagement, and performance metrics are used. The results of the experiment. The k-NN strategy outperformed all other algorithms on the OU dataset in some circumstances, but the ANN approach outperformed them all in others.

Abstract

Social media has become an effective marketing tool, including donation-based crowdfunding platforms, to reach potential donors. The research aimed to analyze the effectiveness of social media promotion in affecting the online donation intention of millennial generations. With the S-O-R theory, the research used variables like content likeability (S), social media attributes (S), social media engagement (O), perceived credibility (O), and intention to donate (R). Then, quantitative measures were used by distributing questionnaires to the selected sample, and 152 responses were collected. The data were analyzed using SEM. The results show that intention to donate is indeed affected by social media engagement and perceived credibility. On the other hand, perceived credibility is affected by both content likeability and social media attributes. However, the results find that social media engagement is only affected by content likeability and is not influenced by social media attributes. The distinctive finding can be due to the different behavior shown by social media users toward fundraising platforms, as they only want to donate and rarely engage in the fundraiser’s social media. The research calls for further investigation using multidimensional constructs to evaluate the drivers of intention to donate. Alternatively, further research can also be conducted to analyze the behavioral differences between millennials and other generations.

Abstract

Universities generally have programs that offer students internship opportunities in departments within the university. In several universities especially Universitas Ciputra, internships in departments within these universities are mandatory activities for scholarship recipient students. This internship activity involves many parties, including students implementing internships, departments that provide internship vacancies and also student bureaus that monitor the implementation of internships. The obstacle faced in this activity is the difficulty of fulfilling internship vacancies with students who have interests, abilities and profiles that match the requirements of internship vacancies. The student bureau also has difficulty monitoring the progress of the implementation of internship activities in the field. The purpose of this research is to provide a solution to the problems faced in this internship in the form of a website application developed using the Prototype Model method using the Laravel framework and tested using the User Acceptance Test (UAT) method. The result of this research is a website prototype that can be used. The results of the UAT test show that the application made can help solve problems in this internship activity with a user satisfaction level of up to 96%.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (abdimas) ini bertujuan memperluas wawasan mengenai computational thinking (CT) bagi guru Sekolah. Program mini seri ini dilakukan secara berkala dan berkesinambungan. Program ini diprioritaskan kepada Guru di berbagai sekolah. Pada kesempatan kali ini diperuntukkan kepada Guru-guru di Yayasan Ciputra Pendidikan. CT sendiri merupakan salah satu problem solving yang perlu diajarkan sejak dini. Dengan melihat perkembangan teknologi dalam bidang ilmu komputer yang berkembang pesat maka pendekatan CT ini sangat diperlukan. Universitas Ciputra Surabaya khususnya Fakultas Teknologi Informasi bekerjasama dengan Komunitas Bebras untuk memperluas penggunaan CT bagi siswa/i seluruh Indonesia. Mini seri ini dilakukan dengan memberikan wawasan CT kepada guru sekolah, sehingga guru tersebut dapat menyampaikan dan melatih para siswanya untuk dapat terbiasa menggunakan CT ini dalam kehidupan mereka sehari-hari. Dalam melakukan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan terlebih dahulu berkoordinasi dan berdiskusi dengan koordinator pusat Yayasan, membuat materi computational thinking berupa materi power point maupun website yang siap diakses peserta. Pokok pembahasan dibagi menjadi empat sesi yaitu pendahuluan tentang computational thinking, computational thinking in everyday life, Developing Computational Thinking task dan menerapkan CT dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Kegiatan ini menyasar pada 134 guru Yayasan Sekolah Ciputra dengan durasi pelaksanaan kurang lebih tiga bulan dari persiapan, penyiapan materi, koordinasi, penyuluhan, serta penyusunan laporan dan luaran.

Abstract

Currently Moodle is being used in the classroom learning process for web development courses at Universitas Ciputra by applying the self-paced learning method, but it is not optimal. Moodle features do not limit access to learning materials, so that the learning process in class is not based on actual student understanding and does not follow each student's learning pace. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of implementing self-paced learning methods in the classroom through the design of a web-based support system. This study uses a quantitative method with the SDLC model consisting of data collection, design, implementation, and system testing with Black Box. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire created with Google Form. At the design stage, the design is carried out on use case diagrams, entity relationship diagrams, and interfaces. The findings from this study are a web-based system to support students in applying self-paced learning methods in class. The test results show that all system functionality works well. This system makes the learning process in the classroom with self-paced learning more effective and helps students understand learning material well and is very effective in facilitating access to communication between students and teachers.

Abstract

Micro-credentials are considered a potential solution for enhancing the quality of human resources in Indonesia, especially among university students. This study investigates factors influencing the acceptance and use of micro-credentials using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). It focuses on the roles of Perceived Usefulness (X1) and Perceived Ease of Use (X2) in shaping Attitude Toward Use (Y) of micro-credentials. A quantitative approach was employed, collecting data through questionnaires from 24 students at Ciputra University Surabaya. The data were analyzed using SPSS with multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that Perceived Usefulness (X1) significantly impacts Attitude Toward Use (Y), while Perceived Ease of Use (X2) does not have a significant individual effect. These findings offer insights into how universities can utilize micro-credentials to improve student engagement and learning experiences, preparing them for the workforce. This study supports the development of education and the enhancement of human resource quality in Indonesia, demonstrating the relevance and effectiveness of micro-credentials in higher education.

Abstract

Students who have studied for a considerable amount of time and will complete a lecture process must complete the necessary final steps. One of them is writing a thesis, a requirement for all students who wish to graduate from college. Each student's choice of topic or specialization will be enhanced if it not only corresponds to their interests but also to their skills. K-Nearest Neighbor is one of the classification techniques used. K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) operates by determining the shortest distance between the data to be evaluated and the K-Nearest (neighbor) from the training data. K-Nearest Neighbor is utilized to classify new objects based on the learning data closest to the new object. Therefore, KNN is ideally suited for classifying data to predict student thesis topics. This research concludes that optimizing the k value using k-fold cross-validation yields an accuracy rate of 79.37% using k-fold cross-validation = 2 and the K-5 value. Based on the K-Nearest Neighbor Algorithm classification results, 45 students are interested in computational theory thesis (RPL) topics, 32 students are interested in artificial intelligence (AI) thesis topics, and 21 students are interested in software development topics.

Abstract

Pengemasan produk sangat penting untuk memastikan bahwa produk dapat didistribusikan dengan aman kepada masyarakat dan rantai pasokan. Hasil penelitian pada tahun 2020 menunjukkan bahwa 73,1% dari 547 orang bersedia membayar lebih untuk desain kemasan yang lebih baik. Dalam proses desain kemasan, desainer dan klien bekerja sama melalui beberapa tahap, mulai dari brainstorming, sketsa, hingga prototyping. Secara umum, prototyping pada tahap desain produk dilakukan secara digital dengan menggunakan mockup. Namun, kekurangan dari metode ini adalah desainer kesulitan menemukan ukuran mockup yang sesuai dengan permintaan klien. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat aplikasi yang membantu desainer membuat model 3D untuk pratinjau desain kemasan. Proyek ini melibatkan tinjauan literatur untuk mengidentifikasi aplikasi dan alat desain yang sudah ada, serta kebutuhan dan preferensi pengguna. Aplikasi dibuat menggunakan Swift, SceneKit dan Xcode.. Proses pengembangan meliputi beberapa tahap: analisis kebutuhan pengguna, desain sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan evaluasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi berfungsi dengan baik dan memenuhi persyaratan yang ditetapkan dalam proposal proyek. Pekerjaan masa depan meliputi perbaikan antarmuka pengguna dan penambahan fitur untuk meningkatkan kegunaan.
