Abstract

The purpose of this study is to answer how ex-wives' efforts in demanding child support after divorce. The research method used is empirical normative with deductive approach analysis. The results of the study stated that, if related to the problems in this paper that concern efforts that can be made to force the male parent (father) to fulfill the contents of the decision of the Religious Court that punishes him to provide for the child, then the mother can request the execution of payment of living expenses to the Religious Court to force the male parent (father) to provide for the child's bread. The mother can apply for execution against the male parent (father) who neglects the obligation to provide for the child, of course, it can only be done if the male parent (father) has property that can be executed. The issue of living costs cannot also be overcome through legal remedies if it turns out that the property of his parents does not exist, so even if he asks for execution it will be in vain. Furthermore, if from the beginning, the cost of living is not requested by the mother at the time of examination of the divorce dispute and then it turns out that the male parent (father) did not provide the child's bread, then the mother can file a claim for child support against the male parent (father) to the Religious Court which is separate from the previous divorce dispute.

Abstract

Purpose: This study explains the internalization of Islam into the organizational culture in Islamic banks.Design/methodology: BPR Syariah Maslahat Dana Syariah Nusantara in Bengkulu City was appointed as a single case study. A semi-structured interview technique has been used, in addition to direct observation and several document collections such as bank profiles, meeting minutes, photos of activities, and monthly work recaps. All data were grouped, while interviews and observations were transcribed, coded, and categorized keywords.Findings: This article shows that the internalization of Islam in organizations is carried out simultaneously through written administrative regulations. The activities are congregational prayers at Zuhr time, reading several hadiths after prayer, weekly recitations in the office, reading Yasin’s letter every Friday morning, and monthly recitations carried out alternately at employees’ homes. In addition, several forms of Islamic values are also reflected in many practices: greeting and smiling to customers, speaking according to etiquette to coworkers, and wearing clothes that conform to Islamic standards.Practical implications: We have taken best practices from the implementation of Islamic organizational culture in banks and similar institutions. The culture and values can be modified according to the existing working procedures.Originality/Value: The conceptualization of Islamic organizational culture has been a topic of discussion. However, there is a dearth of documentation regarding best practices in Islamic banking. This study aims to provide insights into the adoption of effective practices at the organizational level within the Islamic banking sector.

Abstract

Purpose:This article examines the development of waqf for higher education studies from five perspectives: (1) research development and distribution; (2) research topics; (3) main contributors; (4) recent collaboration patterns; and (5) most influential documents in waqf for higher education literature.Design/Methodology:This study involved a comprehensive bibliometric analysis and a systematic literature review, which were utilized to examine 162 documents related to waqf for higher education that were published between 2012 and 2024. The data processing was facilitated by Publish or Perish, Microsoft Excel, and VOSviewer software.Findings:Despite the long-standing existence of waqf literature, the focus on waqf for higher education was not identified until 2012 (RQ1). We identified eight distinct clusters of research topics: community welfare, waqf models for higher education, waqf in Malaysia, good management, practice, alternative sources, cash management, and waqf knowledge (RQ2). A subsequent analysis of the authorship and affiliation patterns revealed a preponderance of researchers based in Malaysia across all categories (RQ3, RQ4, RQ5).Practical Implications:Future research topics on waqf for higher education should be limited to conceptual studies or literature reviews, with a focus on best practices in universities, collaborative financing or subsidies, waqf sustainability, and waqf in the Western world.Originality/Value:This article boasts a more extensive database than previous studies, thus ensuring a more robust foundation for future research. Moreover, given the paucity of literature on the subject, it is imperative to continue documenting the evolution of waqf for higher education literature.
