Abstract

Capacity Analysis of cargo ship loading and unloading services activities at the Maccini Baji Port. This study aimed to describe the Capacity Analysis of cargo ship loading and unloading services activities at the Maccini Baji Port, (1) How Baji Maccini port productivity based on number of loading and unloading cargo, (2) Factors that affect the productivity at the port Maccini Baji, and (3) What advice and recommendations on productivity Maccini port Baji. Stages of the data analysis are: (a) Identify the relationship between the amount of cargo and truck fleet size, the amount of cargo and service time, the amount of cargo and the number of workers unloading; (b) Perform forecasting the amount of cargo to medium term; (c) Count the number of truck fleet needs, service time, and the number of workers unloading based on the equation in the first step, based on the results of load forecasting; (d) Compare the service charge using the launch system and by using a mobile crane. The results showed that, the amount of service time available for 5,610 hours/year, truck payload capacity of 49,500 tons/year, and the number of loading and unloading labor (labor) of 9,900 people/year. Projections charge in 2020 amounted to 106,632 tonnes, for the medium term (2024) amounted to 292,291, and for the long term (2029) amounted to 858,913. Total fleet needs (truck) for a long term (10 years) as many as 28,764 trucks / year.

Abstract

The Tug-barge operating costs for nickel ore transhipment at Boenaga-Fatufia are based on charter and shipowner. A comprehensive study on Tug-barge investment feasibility needs to focus on the most profitable option. This study aims to determine the feasibility of investing in a Tug-barge, considering a charter Tug-barge with shipowner (newbuilding tug-barge and secondhand Tug-barge is feasible compared to a new building Tug-barge and charter Tug-barge. The highest NPV is for the secondhand Tug-barge, IDR 18.642.830.529; rhe secondhand Tug-barge also gas the highest IRR value of 20%. The secondhand Tug-barge has the fastest Payback Period, Which is 4.18 years.

Abstract

The Maros-Barru railway is a strategic route to be developed as a public transportation mode that can connect two important areas in the province of South Sulawesi. However, even though the railway infrastructure in this area already exists, the level of train use by the community is still quite low. The demand for this travel need is significant for planning purposes, both facilities and infrastructure, especially transportation. The lack of public interest in trains on the Maros-Barru route is caused by several factors, one of which is the lack of information received by the community regarding the benefits and comfort offered by trains. Socialization of the benefits of rail-based public transportation will be carried out through various communication channels to reach more passengers, and it is hoped that this activity will benefit policymakers in the management and planning of trains in Sulawesi and reduce transportation problems. Before the socialization, there was no value, but after the socialization, a value of 2984 was obtained, which was in the range of 2501-3250, with the criteria Good. This means that this activity is also expected to be a preference for public transportation modes, especially trains, and the transition from other transportation modes to trains.
