Abstract

Abstract

Mathematics learning model using GeoGebra software has become a handy tool in teaching mathematical concepts and applications. Students can conduct experiments and explore mathematical concepts in an interactive and fun way with GeoGebra software. Using GeoGebra in learning mathematics of two-variable functions can increase students' understanding on the topic discussed, strengthen mathematical computational and visualization skills, and motivate them to know more and better complex mathematical concepts. From this perspective, this study aims to know the impact of using GeoGebra on students' understanding of the derivative of a function of two variables. Furthermore, this study was conducted on two groups of students, namely the control group (not using GeoGebra) of 53 students and the experimental group (using GeoGebra) consisting of 50 students. Based on these results descriptively students in the experimental group have higher scores on the assessment of skills in determining partial derivatives and their application. Statistically, there is a difference between the experimental and control groups in understanding the function of the derivative of the two variables.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the effect of mixing pertalite fuel with methanol on torque, power, and fuel consumption, as well as to study the effect of mixing pertalite fuel with methanol on vehicle exhaust emissions and determine the mixture of pertalite and methanol that produces the best engine performance. Fuel variations pertalite, pertalite methanol 5% (M5), pertalite methanol 10% (M10), pertalite methanol 15% (M15), pertalite methanol 20% (M20). This test is carried out with dynotest testing which aims to determine the value of torque and power. Fuel consumption testing was carried out using the road test method, while testing exhaust emissions using Gaz Analyzer. In testing using dynotest, it can be seen that the addition of methanol makes the torque value produced greater, the highest torque value is produced by M20 fuel which is 22.37 Nm. The highest power value is produced by M20 fuel, which is 13.2 Hp. The results of fuel consumption testing with the road test method using pertalite, M5, M10, M15, M20 fuels with the same amount of fuel, namely 250 ml, show that M20 fuel produces the least fuel consumption value of 0.018 l/km with the longest mileage compared to other fuels, namely 13.2 km. The results of HC, CO and CO₂ exhaust emissions testing show that M20 fuel produces the least HC, CO and CO₂ exhaust emissions compared to other fuels.

Abstract

In the teaching process, teachers are expected to be creative and innovative in delivering the subject matter of teaching. One of the methods that can be used is visualizing mathematics teaching using GeoGebra software. However, many teachers need help understanding how to use this software. Therefore, training is needed to visualize mathematical concepts to help teachers teach mathematics in their classes. Mathematics teaching can be visualized with the help of GeoGebra so that it can improve student understanding. With this media, concepts, formula derivations, problem-solving, and their applications can be visualized more clearly. This makes mathematics teaching more explorative because students can directly observe the relationship between analytical and visual representations of a concept and the relationship between mathematical concepts. From this activity, partner teachers benefit from increasing their ability to use GeoGebra software to support the teaching and learning process (KBM). The implementation of this training is in three steps. The first step is the formulation of a tutorial module for visualizing mathematics teaching using GeoGebra. The second step is the implementation of training activities which include pretests, explanations of the subject matter, and practices for visualizing mathematics teaching with GeoGebra. The third step is the final evaluation (posttest). At the end of the training, almost all participants mastered the training topics and only a small number had not mastered it. So, it was concluded that the competence of visualizing mathematics teaching with GeoGebra of partner teachers who attended the training increased. This competence greatly supports the implementation of mathematics teaching in the classroom and makes students more enthusiastic.

Abstract

Access to clean water in Cicalengka District, Bandung Regency, remains limited, with current coverage reaching only 5.08% of the population. Perumda Air Minum Tirta Raharja has set a target to expand drinking water service to 44% by 2030. To support this goal, this study investigates the optimization of the water distribution pipe network in Cicalengka. The research applies the Bellman-Ford algorithm to model the distribution network as a weighted, undirected, and connected graph, where customer houses are represented as vertices, pipe connections as edges, and pipe lengths as weights. Using data from the existing network and customer locations, the algorithm was implemented to identify optimal distribution paths. The results yielded two shortest path alternatives between the specified source and destination nodes. These findings demonstrate the potential of graph-based optimization in improving distribution planning and can serve as a reference for the development and management of future water supply infrastructure.
