Abstract

The development of SMEs in the culinary in Medan has increased every year. Market opportunities provide SMEs to grow. Diversification in food processing can be done by adding pumpkin (Cucurbita Moschata) into food dough food so that it becomes a different product from those in the market. YAAHFTICS is a SMEs which is engaged in culinary, especially birthday cake, pizza, roll cake and others. Mitra has been established since 2015. Partners rely on marketing through social media Instagram. In running the business cycle, partners experience several major problems. Starting in terms of business financial management, product diversification to the problem of quantity production. The aim of the Community Service Program activities is that Partners can increase their production capacity so that they can increase their income, able to produce diversified processed products from pumpkins, and able to determine product prices with optimal profit. The method of activity used is the delivery of production equipment, the practice of using production equipment to increase production capacity, the practice of making diversified processed pumpkin products and monitoring the production and sales processes. The results of the oven and mixer grant in this service activity can increase the partner’s production capacity product. After counseling the importance of product diversification and the practise of diversification of pumpkin processed pumpkin products, the partner have been able to diversity their processed pumpkin products. And the partner have been able to determine product prices with optimal profit after the partner has been given training in determining the cost of goods sold.

Abstract

Budidaya ikan lele memberikan manfaat yang signifikan dari sisi ekonomi, sosial, dan gizi. Secara ekonomi, budidaya ikan lele dapat menjadi sumber pendapatan yang tetap bagi masyarakat. Peningkatan produksi ikan lele dapat meningkatkan daya beli masyarakat lokal, menciptakan peluang usaha mikro dan menengah, dan memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap perekonomian daerah. Pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan untuk budidaya ikan lele menggunakan kolam terpal di Kelurahan Jati Utomo Kecamatan Binjai Utara Kota Binjai memberikan peluang usaha kepada masyarakat dalam meningkatkan perekonomian dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat yang dilakukan tim dosen bersama mahasiswa dan kelompok tani Purnama Ikan adalah pembuatan kolam terpal sebagai inisasi budidaya ikan lele di Kelurahan Jati Utomo Kecamatan Binjai Utara Kota Binjai. Metode berupa persiapan kolam yang masih kosong, persiapan kolam merupakan tahap awal dan kunci dalam proses pembudidayaan ikan lele. Setelahnya untuk kebutuhan dalam tahap penebaran benih memerlukan pengamatan dalam pelaksanaan budidaya ikan lele berupa optimalisasi dalam perawatan. Hasil akhir dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah berhasilnya budidaya ikan lele kolam terpal selain menambah penghasilan masyarakat juga membuka lapangan kerja bagi masyarakat yang berpenghasilan rendah. Kegiatan pelatihan pemanfaatan kolam terpal dalam budidaya ikan lele ini berjalan dengan lanacar dan materi yang didemostrasikan dalam kegiatan ini diterima dengan baik oleh para peserta

Abstract

Corn is one of the leading commodities in Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province, used as a substitute for rice and as a raw material for animal feed which is able to penetrate the international market. One of the corn production centers in Karo Regency is located in Tigabinanga, Laubaleng and Mardingding Districts with the majority of farmers cultivating corn as their main livelihood. The aim of this research is to analyze the cost structure, revenue, income and feasibility of corn farming. Data collection techniques through observation and interviews using questionnaires. Sampling of farmers was carried out using a simple random sampling method of 45 people. The data analysis model uses cost structure analysis, revenue, income and calculation of the feasibility of corn farming with the R/C ratio. The research results show that corn farming in Karo Regency is profitable with an average income of respondents of IDR 15261695/MT from total costs of IDR 32,672,740/MT. Feasibility analysis shows the B/C ratio value is 1.47 so that corn farming is feasible.Keywords: feasibility analysis, costs, income, corn farming INTISARIJagung merupakan salah satu komoditi unggulan di Kabupaten Karo Provinsi Sumatera Utara digunakan sebagai bahan pengganti padi dan bahan baku pakan ternak yang mampu menembus pasar internasional. Salah satu sentra produksi jagung di Kabupaten Karo ini terletak di Kecamatan Tigabinanga, Laubaleng dan Mardingding dengan mayoritas petani mengusahakan komoditi jagung sebagai mata pencaharian utama. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis struktur biaya, penerimaan, pendapatan dan kelayakan usahatani jagung. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner. Pengambilan sampel petani dilakukan dengan metode simple random sampling sebanyak 45 orang. Model analisis data menggunakan analisis struktur biaya, penerimaan, pendapatan dan perhitungan kelayakan usahatani jagung dengan R/C ratio. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan usahatani jagung di Kabupaten Karo menguntungkan dengan rata-rata pendapatan responden sebesar Rp 15261695/MT dari total biaya sebesar Rp 32.672.740/MT. Analisis kelayakan menunjukkan nilai B/C ratio sebesar 1,47 sehingga usahatani jagung layak diusahakan.Kata kunci: analisis kelayakan, biaya, pendapatan, usahatani jagung,
