Abstract

Abstract

Peripheral areas are areas on the outskirts of a city that usually have the structure and characteristics of a combination of village and city, both socially, physically, economically, and culturally. The outskirts of Surakarta City include the surrounding regency i.e., Sukoharjo, Boyolali, Karanganyar, Wonogiri, Klaten, and Sragen Regency. These areas have potential tofu and tempeh industry. This research was conducted to determine the spatial distribution patterns and factors influencing the location of tofu and tempeh traders. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the average nearest-neighbor pattern. The results show that the spatial distribution pattern is dispersed. Dispersed means that each area is evenly distributed and far from other areas. This happens because the ANN (Average Nearest Neighbor) value is >1. The influencing factor for the location of tofu and tempeh traders in the markets is the location chosen relatively close to where tofu and tempeh traders live so that the distance is not too far. The location was chosen because it has been running a business for generations. The location has good facilities and cleanliness, making it comfortable to carry out buying and selling transactions. This place is busy with buyers from various regions

Abstract

Since the emergence of the Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Regulation Number 4 of 2015 concerning the establishment, management, management and dissolution of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES), villages have been indirectly given full authority to manage and develop their potential to become a successful village. independent with a high level of original village income. Each village will be allocated a certain amount of funds from the central government to be managed through BUMDES. Careful planning is needed to manage the potential and funds mandated by the central government. One of the first steps in planning is to map village boundaries. Many villages do not understand how to map village boundaries. Thus, assistance is needed, including outreach regarding village boundaries. Assistance in preparing the village map supports the preparation of the village master plan in the next process. The hope is that with this activity the village will be able to carry out village mapping and identify potential as a first step in preparing a master plan. The location chosen as the place of service is Pagerandong Village, Kaligondang District, Purbalingga Regency. Pagerandong Village has potential agricultural land that needs to be integrated into a thorough planning in the form of a master plan. Based on the results of the study and accompanying village maps, it is known that there are three main activities that have the potential to be developed, namely, agriculture with solar pump irrigation.

Abstract

The Umbul Tlatar area is a water tourism destination with considerable potential. Its proximity to the city of Surakarta, good accessibility, and abundant surface water resources makes it an attractive site for bathing and water sports. However, the lack of a defined tourism concept and development planning, as well as the absence of an integrative approach, has resulted in the area appearing underdeveloped and poorly maintained. This has led to suboptimal tourist appeal, with fluctuating visitor numbers, particularly in the post-COVID-19 period (2023–2024). Therefore, there is a need for a strategic development plan to maximize the tourism potential of Umbul Tlatar, enabling it to compete with other tourist destinations in Boyolali Regency and the surrounding areas. The objective of study us to construct integrative tourism planning in Umbul Tlatar. The combination drone mapping and field observation was conducted to obtain the hidden potency of Umbul Tlatar. The results shows that the Umbbul Tlatar has several tourism attcraction that could be developed more such as Umbul Pengilon, National standar swimming pool, Etasia-Ecotourism, Tlatar Cullinary, Sumber Rejeki Fishing pond, and Karunia Outbound Centre. Those several tourism spots will be planned as integrated tourism area, thus at least can extend the tourist time to stay. To address this, a collaborative effort between the local government and community is required to develop an integrative tourism site plan that can increase visitor numbers to Umbul Tlatar.

Improving Student Skills in Facing Geographic Scientific Development in Era 4.0 through the Introduction of Drone Mapping ABSTRACT The emergence of a new era of the industrial revolution 4.0 requires each scientific field to have high technological development, easily accessible, and internet-based. The demand of this new era also requires that the field of geographic science developed according to the times. The development of technology in the field of geography which is currently developing as a form of the demands of the revolution era 4.0 is the drone technology. Drone technology, known as drone aircraft, can be used to collect basic data in geography studies. On the other hand, the development of this technology has not been integrated with the syllabus of education at the mid-level education so that geography learning at this level tends to be theoretical and less applicable. Though the demands of the needs of a geography learner must understand and understand about this technological development. The existence of socialization activities and training on technological developments in the main geographic fields of drone technology can initiate the integration of knowledge about the development of technology, especially drones in learning at the secondary level. This can later be used to trigger changes in geographic learning systems at the secondary level that are theoretical to be more applicable. In addition, graduates or products from the middle level can have competencies and skills that are in accordance with the demands of the industrial revolution era 4.0, especially in the field of geography studies. Keywords: drone mapping; geography; learning system; revolution 4.0.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the distribution patterns, density levels, and coverage of educational facilities at the senior high school, vocational high school, and Islamic high school levels in Pacitan Regency in 2024. This study is motivated by the existing disparities in access to education and the phenomenon of several subdistricts in Pacitan being incorporated into the school zoning of Wonogiri Regency. This study employs a quantitative descriptive method utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Spatial analysis was conducted using the Average Nearest Neighbor (ANN) method to identify distribution patterns, Kernel Density for density analysis (hotspots), and the Buffer method with a radius of 3,000 meters in accordance with SNI 13-1733-2004 to measure service coverage. The ANN analysis results showed a nearest neighbor ratio of 0.773 with a z-score of -3.60, indicating that the distribution pattern of educational facilities tends to be clustered. The Kernel Density analysis revealed the highest concentration of schools in the districts of Pacitan, Tulakan, and Tegalombo, while outlying areas such as Donorojo have low density. Buffer analysis indicates that the coverage of public high schools (SMA, SMK, MA) currently covers only 44% of residential areas; however, when combined with private schools, coverage increases to 68%. There is an imbalance in the distribution of secondary education facilities in Pacitan Regency, which are concentrated in the central and southern areas. Although private schools greatly help expand access, the local government still needs to improve the equitable distribution of educational services in remote and border areas.

Abstract

Health services are an important factor for a region because good health services indicate a better quality of life for the community. The coverage and availability of health services are also important factors in supporting optimal health facilities. However, the distribution and service coverage of health facilities are still uneven, resulting in several areas being inadequately served, especially in peripheral and highland areas. This study uses a Geographic Information System (GIS) approach to analyze the distribution patterns and service coverage of health facilities in Boyolali Regency in 2025. The methods used in this study include buffer analysis and Average Nearest Neighbor (ANN) analysis. ANN analysis was used to identify distribution patterns, while buffer analysis was used to measure the service coverage of health facilities in residential areas. The data used were obtained from the locations of health facilities in Boyolali Regency, including hospitals, community health centers, and clinics. The results showed that the distribution pattern of health facilities in Boyolali Regency in 2025 tended to be concentrated in the central area of the regency, especially in Boyolali, Teras, and Mojosongo Districts, which have better accessibility and higher population density. The results of the Average Nearest Neighbor analysis showed that the distribution pattern of health facilities was clustered and statistically significant, with a ratio value of 0.620092, a z-score of -6.541112, and a p-value of 0.000000. The results of the service coverage analysis using a 3000-meter buffer radius showed that there were still areas that had not been optimally covered by health facilities, especially in peripheral and highland districts. These conditions were influenced by topography, accessibility, road networks, and population concentration. Overall, this study indicates that there are inequalities in the distribution and service coverage of health facilities in Boyolali Regency in 2025. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the equitable distribution of health facilities and accessibility through road infrastructure development to support transportation in peripheral and highland areas that are still inadequately served so that health services can operate optimally.
