Abstract

Bakông Asóe is a typical Acehnese snack loved by older people in Aceh since ancient times. This snack is made from wet tobacco which is used as chewing tobacco. The process of drying Bakông Asóê in the open triggers heavy metal contamination by air pollution from motor vehicles. The process of storing Bakông Asóê in a wet state also triggers the growth of microbes such as bacteria and fungi due to a growth medium in the form of water. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of heavy metal contamination (Pb, Cd, Se, Cu and Hg) and microbiological contamination in the form of bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and fungi (Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger) in Bakông Asóê which sold on the side of the road without adequate hygiene. The research refers to a qualitative research approach with the type of research that is descriptive research. This study showed that heavy metal exposure in the form of Pb, Cu and Se in the three samples was still in the safe range for consumption. However, exposure to heavy metals in the form of Cd and Hg in the three samples exceeded the consumption standard. The results of the analysis of microbiological contamination in the three Bakông Asóê samples were proven to contain bacterial and fungal contamination, where cocci-shaped bacteria were more commonly found and fungi with the genus Aspergillus sp were also more dominant in the three Bakông Asóê samples. The conclusion of this study is positive for chemical and microbiological contamination in Bakông Asóê, which is sold in Aceh, Ule Kareng and Lambaro Markets.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Indonesia plays a very important role in the formation of character and religious values for students. This study aims to analyze the differences in Islamic education models at public and private universities. With a qualitative approach, this research collects data through interviews, observations, and document studies at several universities in Indonesia. The research results show significant differences between public and private universities in terms of curriculum, teaching methods, and learning outcomes. In public universities, the curriculum is more focused on the development of academic knowledge integrated with religious values, whereas in private universities, the Islamic education approach tends to emphasize strengthening religious practices and the spiritual character of students. The teaching methods at public universities tend to use a more theoretical approach, while private universities often employ practical approaches and interactive discussions. The learning outcomes also show differences in the reinforcement of religious understanding and the implementation of Islamic values in daily life. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of Islamic education in Indonesia by adapting educational models that align with the needs and characteristics of students in each type of higher education institution.

It is urgent to evaluate teacher leadership because there is a gap between theory, expectations, and reality. The research objective describes teacher leadership in implementing the independent learning curriculum. Literacy and numeracy skills in the curriculum require changes in teacher leadership in implementation. The research method uses Mixed Methods with a convergent (concurrent) parallel design. The research subjects were junior high schools and the objects were teachers. The data collection technique was through a survey with a questionnaire which was developed and given to 70 teachers. Data was also obtained through in-depth interviews with teachers. Quantitative data analysis used SPSS version 26 and qualitative data were analyzed by collecting interview data, reducing and grouping data that intersected one another. The results showed that 54.12% of teachers already had leadership insights and 67.66% agreed to apply leadership in the independent curriculum. Reinforced through the results of interviews that the implementation of an independent curriculum is very urgent to overcome learning loss in producing graduates. Novelty, found from Leadership Insights, the concept of driving teachers provides opportunities for teachers to take part in training and share knowledge massively to accelerate overcoming learning loss in junior high schools.
