Abstract

This article discusses the constitution (undang-undang) of West Sumatra. The Minangkabau people constitute the Matrilineal community. Their customs and culture place the women as the inheritors of inheritance and kinship. Nevertheless, the role of men who actively play roles in religious and political spheres is still significant. Seen from their economy, the Minangkabau  indigenous people have a wealth of fertile land so that the majority of the community's work is farming various plants such as coffee, spices, rice etc. The progress of the community is not only in the economic field but also the development of Islam. The spread of Islam continues to grow and the Islam has been a popular religion among the Minangkabau people. The community also has a legal order written in an Act, which was written in Minangkabau in 1837 precisely after the Padri war and the Dutch rule in the Minangkabau land. Dutch Residents (Heinmers) ordered community leaders to write a customary law into the West Sumatra Act, the enactment of this West Sumatra Law until 1862 because when the Dutch set new regulations on the Minangkabau community, namely stelsel culture so that people followed all the new rules. The West Sumatra Law is divided into three parts: the Adat Law in Nagari, the Murder Case Law, and the Syara Companding Adat Law. Keywords: Minangkabau Society, customary law, local act.

Abstract

This study aims at describing the healthy lifestyle of residents in Priangan . Healthy lifestyle is one of the behavior aspects involving the activity of mother - children, pattern of maintaining the body health, pattern of healthy food and sanitation. This paper used the mass media as main sources to see healthy behavior in Priangan. Mass media used is to give illustration of the mindset of healthy in society. The research conducted uses a historical method which has four parts, namely heuristic, criticism, interpretation and historiography.Based the sources, there are several things to sum up as follows :Firstly, from the 1911 until 1942 there had been a change in health behavior within the community in Priangan; Secondly, the changes are due the contact with culture, religion, and social structure; Thirdly, the change in health behavior constitutes the impact of cultural socialization from local genius and European Culture; Fourthly, Mass media has played a vital role for communicating the healthy culture in society.

Abstract

Political parties are a means of citizens' political participation in improving democratic life to elect leaders in order to uphold and realize high ideals by fighting for freedom and justice. PPP is a political party that has the characteristics of being a political party based on Islam and being a big house for Muslims. This study will explain the history of the PPP organization in Tasikmalaya City and the existence of PPP in Tasikmalaya City. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded as follows; Firstly, the United Development Party (PPP) was founded on January 5, 1973 as a result of the political fusion of four Islamic parties, namely the Nadhlatul Ulama Party, the Indonesian Muslim Party (Parmusi), the Indonesian Syarikat Islam Party (SI), and the Perti Islam Party. This establishment was followed by the establishments in various regions including Tasikmalaya, Secondly, the existence of the United Development Party in Tasikmalaya City from 2004, 2009 & 2014, underwent significant changes, starting from work programs consisting of in the fields of religion, politics, social, economic and education, as well as in the regeneration in the first period amounted to 213 people, 233 people in the second period, 195 people in the third period, and 85 people in the fourth period, while the results of the vote in 2004 were 20, 26% (11 seats), in 2009 18.62% (8 seats) and 2014 23.96% (10 seats). In addition, Kyai also has an important role in the success of PPP in Tasikmalaya City.Keywords: Islamic Party, PPP, Tasikmalaya.

Abstract

This paper contains history and also religious tour of the great mosque of Al-Munada Darussalam Baiturrahman in South Jakarta. In the Chronicles of the great mosque of Al-Munada Darussalam Baiturrahman stood in 1963 that was erected by KH. Qosim Abdurrahman Mashum and KH. Amen Abdurrahman. In the study the method of writing history goes through the four stages of heuristics, criticism, interpretation and histroriography. The great mosque of Al-Munada Darussalam Baiturrahman is also commonly known as the boat mosque, so it is said that makes the boat mosque a religious tour.

Abstract

Purpose: The art of benjang wrestling has long lived and developed among the people of East Bandung from 1965-1970. The benjang wrestling arts organization was formed to accommodate and provide facilities for activists and actors who are involved in the world of benjang wrestling arts, especially for benjang athletes, to continue to preserve the benjang wrestling arts and regenerate benjang athletes so that they continue to exist.Methodology: This research uses the historical method, which consists of four stages, namely heuristics (source gathering), criticism (data selection), interpretation (data interpretation), and historiography (history writing).Findings:Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the Benjang Wrestling Arts Organization in Ujungberung in 2000-2021 is a Benjang wrestling arts organization that was formed to become a place or place for activists and actors who participate in the benjang wrestling arts. This organization was initially formed from a Paguyuban in 2000 and developed into an organization in 2015. The purpose of establishing this organization is to maintain and preserve the art of benjang wrestling to preserve it to the times and to contribute to always trying to regenerate the following benjang athletes. So that there will be a successor.Implication:With the regeneration carried out by the Benjang Wrestling Arts organization, successors will continue to emerge who can contribute and provide achievements for the Benjang Wrestling Arts so that this art will continue to exist and be maintained for the next generation.

Abstract

This study aims to show that interactive learning techniques can increase historical awareness amongst students. Using the interactive learning experience of searching for and categorising fossils in the local river bed by SMPN Tambaksari (hereafter referred to as Tambaksari Junior High School) students between 1980 and 1996. The historical method to select and evaluate both oral and written sources. The oral sources include interviews with the participants of the fossil digs. Written sources included news and magazine articles published during the time of the digs. The results show that the interactive teaching method was considered a meaningful and positive learning experience by students. Additionally, it was found that the students expanded their historical awareness by gaining an appreciation for the connection of history with the present and the future. Finally, there was a positive personal development for students, who learned about themselves and their relationship with their culture and nation.
