Abstract

his research aims to reveal the service-based learning (service learning) in social care building of  santri (student) on Pondok Pesantren Al Urwatul Wustqo Jombang dan Darussalam Kediri, with a focus on covering the implication of service learning for social care building of student on Pondok Pesantren Al Urwatul Wutsqo Jombang and Sumbersari Kediri.This research employs a qualitative approach with a multisite study design. Data collection is carried out using in-depth interview, participant observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusion. Checking the validity of the finding is carried out by extension of participation; triangulation technique of sources, theories, and methods; and persistence of observation. The research informants are the pesantren caretakers, the ustadzah (teachers), students and the society.The implication (impact) of service learning on  caring character building of student is experiencing very positive changes. It proven by the research finding. Student who has participated in service learning has experienced change mainly in term of caring for others. This form of caring can be seen from several indicators as follows: they have compassion feeling whaen their friend is sick. Thus, they take care for that friend, the emergence of a sense of brotherhood, protect their friends from bullying the others, they are more sensitive to what is going on around them, they help without having to ask, their respect to the teacher increase.

Abstract

Penggunaan praktik peminjaman dari rentenir sering kali terkait dengan eksploitasi ekonomi, terutama di kalangan masyarakat yang memiliki keterbatasan dalam mengakses lembaga keuangan formal. Di beberapa wilayah di Indonesia, seperti di Kelurahan Merjosari, kecamatan Lowokwaru, Kota Malang, praktik ini masih berlangsung dan bahkan semakin meningkat setelah terjadinya ketidakstabilan ekonomi masyarakat pasca pandemi Covid-19. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan bimbingan kepada masyarakat agar dapat melepaskan diri dari praktik rentenir dan mengembalikan daya ekonomi mereka. Program ini menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR). Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa program pemberdayaan berdampak positif pada peningkatan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Masyarakat yang sebelumnya terjebak dalam utang rentenir berhasil mendirikan koperasi ekonomi yang berkelanjutan dengan prinsip ekonomi syariah. Tindak lanjut dari program ini melibatkan kegiatan pemantauan dan evaluasi yang berkelanjutan, pelatihan kompetensi, pengembangan koperasi, dan sosialisasi literasi keuangan. Kegiatan ini juga menggarisbawahi pentingnya partisipasi aktif masyarakat dan peran pemerintah dalam mendukung pemberdayaan sehingga masyarakat dapat menjadi masyarakat yang mandiri secara ekonomi.  Abstract. Using lending practices from loan sharks is often associated with economic exploitation, especially among people with limited access to formal financial institutions. This practice is still ongoing in several areas in Indonesia, such as in Merjosari Village, Lowokwaru subdistrict, and Malang City. It is even increasing following the economic instability of the community after the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, this community service activity aims to guide the community so that they can free themselves from the practices of loan sharks and restore their economic power. This program uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The results of this service activity show that the empowerment program has a positive impact on increasing community income and welfare. Communities previously trapped in loan shark debt succeeded in establishing a sustainable economic cooperative based on Sharia economic principles. The follow-up to this program involves ongoing monitoring and evaluation activities, competency training, cooperative development, and financial literacy outreach. This activity also underlines the importance of active community participation and the role of government in supporting empowerment so that communities can become economically independent.

Abstract

This paper describes the role of women in unifying the nation associated with Islamic perspectives. The role of women in various sectors of the nation's life is an urgent need. Many things women can do for the benefit of nation and state. Women have been suggested as male subordination, marginalized and difficult self-actualizing well. Patterns of power and status that assume that men are higher than women are very influential on the pattern of gender relations. Not a few policies and regulations are born on the perception. It is therefore not surprising that in the community there is a gender ideology that seeks to fundamentally dismantle policies and regulations that are not considered gender-sensitive. Cultural context always puts women as second class people. Women are more required to fulfill obligations regardless of rights, used to struggle to become human beings who exist in their community. Such social construction makes women more patient, testable and istiqomah in the fight for peace, harmony and unity mission. Tulisan ini memaparkan peran perempuan dalam mempersatukan bangsa yang dikaitkan dengan perpektif Islam. Peran perempuan dalam berbagai  sektor kehidupan bangsa merupakan kebutuhan mendesak. Banyak hal yang dapat dilakukan perempuan untuk kemaslahatan bangsa dan negara. Selama ini perempuan dikesankan sebagai subordinasi laki- laki, termarginalkan dan sulit mengaktualisasikan diri dengan baik. Pola kekuasaan dan status yang beranggapan bahwa laki-laki lebih tinggi dari perempuan sangat berpengaruh pada pola relasi gender. Tidak sedikit kebijakan dan peraturan lahir atas persepsi tersebut. Karena itu tidak heran jika dimasyarakat muncul ideologi gender yang berupaya meninjau secara mendasar membongkar berbagai kebijakan dan peraturan yang dinilai tidak berwawasan gender. Konteks budaya selalu menempatkan perempuan sebagai manusia kelas dua. Perempuan lebih dituntut untuk memenuhi kewajiban tanpa memperhitungkan hak, terbiasa berjuang untuk menjadi manusia yang eksis dalam komunitasnya. Konstruksi sosial demikian itu menjadikan perempuan lebih sabar, tahan uji dan istiqomah dalam memperjuangkan misi kedamaian, kerukunan dan persatuan.
