Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Customer-centric Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within the scope of Islamic Ethics on Company Values. In addition, this study also examines the role of customer satisfaction mediation and financial performance towards Customer-centric CSR with company values and tests the role of customer satisfaction mediation for Customer-centric CSR with financial performance. The sample used is Islamic Commercial Banks registered with BI with specified sample criteria. The data was processed using smartPLS, where the direct influence of Centric Customers in Islamic Ethics (CSR) on company values was significant. The Centric Customer variables in Islamic Ethics (CSR) influence financial performance. The other four hypotheses showed insignificant results. The results of the indirect influence test show that the variables of customer satisfaction and financial performance have not been able to mediate the relationship between Customer-centric in Islamic ethics and Company Values.

Abstract

This research aims to measure banking performance by revealing the influence of CEO changes and IPOs on Islamic banks. Apart from that, this research also involves control variables, namely GDP and inflation, to verify and test the robustness of the findings. This research uses a quantitative approach, measured using a panel data regression-based method with Eviews version 12. The population of this research is Islamic banks in the GCC region for the period 2013 - 2022. The sample was determined based on the purposive sampling method with a total sample of 17 companies, so the total observations in the research are 2040 observations. The data used in this research is secondary data. The data collection technique uses documentation methods via the sites: https://www.ifsb.org/, https://data.worldbank.org/, and the personal banking website. The research results prove that the CEO turnover probability value is 0.035 <0.05 with a t-statistic of -2.102, meaning that CEO turnover has a negative and significant effect on financial performance. The probability value of Initial Public Offering is 0.0002 <0.05 with a t-statistic of 3.766 so it can be concluded that IPO has a significant positive effect on financial performance. Macroeconomic control variables also have a significant effect on financial performance as evidenced by a probability value of 0.000. Meanwhile, the results of the f test show a probability value of 0.000 < 0.05, this result shows that there is a simultaneous influence in this research.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a tool for assessing the potential of ijarah asset contract model as a product offered by Islamic Microfinance Institutions (IMFIs) to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Malang Regency, Batu City, and Malang City areas of Indonesia. In this context, a grounded theory is applied, including open, axial, and selective coding, as well as qualitative model analysis to report crucial factors for ijarah asset contract product at IMFIs. The results show that Sharia compliance is the most fundamental instrument, followed by trust, benefit, agreement, and tolerance based on the priority criteria. In addition, the relationship between instruments create the best implementation model in the forerunner of ijarah asset contract product. This research is carried out by determining the instrument of ijarah asset contract and explaining the relationship between instruments forming an implementation model. The development of fresh ijarah product innovations at IMFIs is conducted to facilitate asset leasing for MSMEs. A model is also proposed using the results as a benchmark for execution to minimize the potential for unsuccessful outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to utilize the Early Warning System (EWS) component to predict the condition of Islamic banks before bankruptcy. This study uses the springate score model to measure the Financial Distress (FD) condition of Islamic banks. Samples were taken from 13 Islamic Commercial Banks for the period 2016 - 2020. The EWS components are Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non-Performing Financing (NPF), Financing Deposit to Ratio (FDR) and Allowance for Impairment Losses (CKPN). Based on the springate score calculation, the highest FD conditions occurred in 2019 and 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The logistic regression test results show that only the NPF ratio has a positive effect on FD. While the CAR, FDR and CKPN variables have no effect on FD. This proves that the CAR, FDR and CKPN ratios owned by Islamic banks are said to be good so as to keep away from FD conditions.

Abstract

Conventional bank users still significantly outnumber those using Islamic banks, influenced by various factors, one of which is a lack of public understanding of Islamic banking services. In fact, Islamic banks already provide almost all the services available at conventional banks. To address this, community service was conducted in the form of face-to-face outreach explaining the various products, services, and benefits of Islamic banking. This activity was carried out at the women's study group of the Al-Amanah Jami Mosque in RW 03 Pamulang Barat, South Tangerang, Banten, with the aim of expanding understanding and interest in Islamic banking products and services. The methods used included planning, implementing outreach discussing the characteristics, products, and benefits of Islamic banking, as well as monitoring and evaluation to measure the effectiveness of the activity. The results of the outreach showed an increase in participant awareness regarding the operational principles of Islamic banks that are free from usury, the profit-sharing system, Sharia-compliant fund management, and the convenience of digital banking services offered by Islamic banks..

Abstract

This research aims to adopt a spatial finance approach to hajj fund sustainability by finding the factors that influenced it during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research involved GRDP, Household Consumption, COVID-19 Cases, Islamic Banking Office Network, and Religiosity Index as exogenous variables with secondary data in 2020. This research uses Spatial Autoregressive Model analysis and Local Indicators of Spatial Autocorrelation through Spatial Rate Analysis to predict spillover effects. Research findings show that the Religiosity Index and Office Network have a spatial effect on Hajj funds. In addition, the provinces of East Java and Central Java are predicted to have a strong potential to have a spillover effect and affect the surrounding areas to increase the sustainable growth of the Hajj fund.
