Abstract

In the Industrial Age 4.0, when business competition is increasing and growing, business people are also required to be able to maintain and increase their existence in products, This tombstone is one of the product needs when approaching the Idhul Fitri holiday because many people will replace the tombstones that have died or if a relative has passed away. Sadar Gresik UMKM produces tombstones and there is a defect problem that occurs, namely experiencing thin cracks and chipped corners of tombstones in April 2022 Sadar UMKM can produce an average of 41 gravestones in one day and for an average defect in 1 month 11 tombstones. In this study, aims to find out the quality control needed so that the tombstone products can control defects, by using the seven tools to find out the factors that cause defects and can control the defects by knowing the NP line on the control chart. Seven tools can also identify the causes and effects of defects and with the addition of 5W+1H recommendations will be made regarding the problems encountered. factors from the results of fishbone Diagrams that require evaluation which include human factors, materials, methods, environment where these factors cause the number of tombstone defects to be 174 thin cracks and tombstone corners to chip 121. To control defects in tombstone products so that at the midpoint of NP 11.8 is right at the midpoint of the control chart. From several factors that are already known in thin cracked tombstones, namely carrying out quality control of 5W + 1H tombstones, so that they can control these defects in accordance with predetermined product specifications/standards, the process of making tombstone products, employees who work on these have responsibilities, the need for training/skill training for the process of making the tombstones and monitoring the evaluation of the workers, the angle of the tombstones, namely carrying out quality control so as to minimize product defects, so that the quality produced is maintained according to the specified standards, the process of making tombstone products, employees those who do it have the responsibility, make repairs on a regular basis.

Abstract

The seafood of the north coast of East Java has a variety of commodities, along with the growing creative industry is able to support the economy of coastal communities.  The obstacles faced by creative industry players are supply chains that are not well integrated, lack of sustainable product development and innovation. The research aims to explore the internal and external factors owned by creative industry players on the north coast of East Java, coastal industry players have a major role in supporting the economic sustainability of coastal communities and developing alternative strategies for processed seafood creative industries that have a competitive advantage. Mapping of internal factors is obtained through the IFAS matrix with a score of 3.1909 while the EFAS matrix score value is 2.8712. The preparation of alternative strategies using SOAR analysis obtained 5 alternative strategies and through the QSPM matrix obtained the greatest strategic weight, namely optimising the management of biological resources to improve the national economy through the number of exports of marine and fishery products.  To realise this strategy, sustainable steps are needed by improving the supply chain starting from providing subsidised fuel oil for fishermen to reduce operational costs, downstreaming the seafood processing industry, product innovation tailored to each export destination country.

Abstract

Gresik milkfish brain is a commodity from strategic ponds that has high economic value. An increase in population and high competition in the industrial era 4.0, the industry must be supported by competitive strategies to obtain a broad market share. To win the competition the industry must innovate products in accordance with consumer demand. The purpose of this research is to identify strengths and weaknesses as well as opportunities and threats, find out the desires and needs of consumers that have not been fulfilled in the preparation of milkfish brains, design effective business strategies through product development. Based on the results of the research using the SWOT method, a competitiveness strategy is obtained that is designing attractive packaging with the characteristics of the city of Gresik by using special materials that are environmentally friendly, product innovation oriented to new product variants, building a system of purchasing raw materials and supporting materials as well as integrated sales distribution, materials raw choice and processing of production processes that adopt technology. Product development that can be done with the QFD approach is to create new variants with priority on original, sweet, spicy flavors, each package uses an ergonomic design and secondary colors.
