Abstract

This study examines and analyzes the models and strategies in the implementation of character education in elementary schools/ madrasah Ibtidaiyah which aims to develop positive moral, ethical, and personality values in students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method by collecting sources relevant to the study of this research to be studied systematically from and comparing with character learning models in other countries in order to gain new understanding and findings. The findings of this study are (1) Involving children in social activities that begin with teaching moral values can build empathy and a sense of social responsibility (2) Civic Education learning is the main strength in integrating plural values, tolerance, historical insight, (3) The model that is relevant to the current conditions in the implementation of character education for students in elementary schools / madrasah ibtidaiyah is the exemplary model, (4) Strategies that combine character education learning with technology such as learning videos or educational games that can help students understand character values in a more fun way.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali secara holistik konsep dalam penumbuhan karakter gotong royong sebagai ciri utama dari budaya Pancasilais pada peserta didik di lingkungan SMAN 3 Bandung. Karakter gotong royong merupakan karakter khas dari budaya nusantara sebagai konsekuensi dari penerapan ideologi Pancasila. Pancasilais merupakan karakter seseorang yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai dari idelogi Pancasila dalam kaitannya bertingkah laku dalam lingkungan keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat. Penelitian pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi deskriptif. Adapun hasil penelitian, bahwa (1) Budaya gotong royong merupakan karakter yang dibangun oleh SMAN 3 Bandung dengan memajang 9 etos kerja unggulan di lingkungan sekolah, (2) Dibangunnya sarana titik kumpul (assembly point) yang disebut dengan “gazebo” sebagai fasilitas kepada peserta didik untuk musyawarah/ ruang diskusi, membentuk “team work” dan menyelesaikan masalah kelas serta kerja kelompok guna membentuk karakter gotong royong, dan (3) Diterapkannya sistem among yakni asih, asah, dan asuh dalam rangka menguatkan karakter gotong royong sebagai nilai khas dari sifat Pancasilais.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development and trends of research related to deliberative models in learning approaches in the digital era. Research data were obtained using the Publish or Perish 8 application by taking references from journals indexed by Google Scholar. A total of 1000 articles relevant to the keywords "deliberative model" AND "digital era" from 2018 to 2025 were successfully collected. The data was then analyzed and visualized using the VOSviewer application. The results provide insight into the development of deliberative model research in the digital technology era. Bibliometric analysis reveals research trends from year to year, the main contribution of the number of citations, and the development of key concepts in the literature. The results of this study can provide a foundation for future research to understand better the deliberative model in the education approach in the digital technology era.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of experience-based learning in strengthening sustainable character education in high schools. Using a mixed methods design combining a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest and qualitative case study, 200 students from two Indonesian schools were divided into experimental and control groups. Quantitative data were analyzed using mean difference tests and ANCOVA, while qualitative insights were obtained through interviews, observations, and reflections. The results show a significant improvement in discipline, responsibility, empathy, and cooperation among students in the experimental group. The study concludes that direct learning experiences, supported by reflection and social engagement, effectively foster long-term character values and contribute conceptually to sustainability-oriented education strategies, offering practical guidance for schools in designing experiential curricula.
