Abstract

ABSTRAK: Pekerjaan pembantu rumah tangga mirip dengan imej tentang “jongos” yang harus mengabdikan diri sepenuhnya kepada majikan. Pembantu rumah tangga, dengan demikian, merupakan pekerjaan yang rentan terhadap pelanggaran hak-hak pekerja. Namun hal ini tidak mengurangi ketertarikan para wanita dengan latar pendidikan yang rendah untuk terlibat dalam sektor kerja tersebut dikarenakan ianya tidak memerlukan kemampuan khusus dan modal uang. Selain itu, kesempatan untuk masuk dalam sektor ini juga terbuka luas seiring dengan perkembangan peran ganda wanita dan ketersediaan agen penyalur pembantu rumah tangga. Agen ini idealnya berpartisipasi dalam memberikan pengetahuan dan perlindungan kepada hak-hak pembantu rumah tangga dan menciptakan komitmen untuk melaksanakan kewajiban dalam hubungan kerja dengan majikan mereka. Berdasarkan studi kasus pada Yayayasan Sosial Purna Karya di kota Bandung, ditemukan beberapa fakta social, misalnya, bahwa (1) para pembantu rumah tangga memiliki latar belakang sosial dan ekonomi yang rendah; (2) kondisi lingkungan kerja tidak mencukupi bagi keselamatan social, kesehatan, jam kerja dan penghasilan; (3) agen penyalur pembantu rumah tangga memang dirasakan ada manfaatnya; serta (4) hingga saat ini belum ada perundangan khusus yang melindungi hak pembantu rumah tangga.Kata-kata kunci: pembantu rumah tangga, agen penyalur tenaga kerja, serta hak , kewajiban dan perlindungan pekerja.   About the Authors: Kokom Komalasari, M.Pd. is a Lecturer at the Department of Civic Education FPIPS Indonesia University of Education (UPI) in Bandung. She was born in Tasikmalaya, West Java, on October 1, 1972. She earned her B.A.Hons. in Education (S.Pd.) from IKIP (Institut Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan) Bandung in 1995; and Master of Education (M.Pd.) degree from UPI in Bandung in 1999. Her M.Pd. thesis focused on the correlation between learning process and law awarness. The Effect of Contextual Learning in Civic Education on Students’ Civic Skills Komalasari, Kokom

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The development of Civic Education cannot be isolated from globalization tendency that influences the students’ life. However, the recent fact in Indonesia is that learning is still dominated by conventional system. Thus, the implementation of learning oriented to “contextualized multiple intelligences” concept is still far away from its wish. This study aimed to describe the effect of contextual learning in Civic Education on students’ civic skills. The process of study used quantitative approach with survey method. The population of study was Junior High School students in West Java, Indonesia, taught by Civic Education teachers who had followed Competence-Based Integrated Training. The total sample was 1,004 students based on cluster, proportional, and systematic random sampling. The result of study showed that contextual learning in West Java Junior High Schools belonged to average category. The civic skills of Junior High School students in West Java were belonged to high category. There was significant effect of contextual learning on students’ civic skills, which was shown with correlation by 0.48 and contribution by 23%. Therefore, teachers should apply contextual learning, the government should develop effective training system to improve the teachers’ competence in contextual learning and teacher education institution  should develop innovation of learning model involving school. Abstract

ABSTRACT: People around the world have continually paid special attention to the issue of children problem. One of the problems is the problem of street children. The World Report of children situation has reported that there are about 30 million children living and taking care of themselves in street area. The number of street children in Asia is approximately 20 million. Indonesia is a country representing the increase of street children, especially since 1997 due to economic crisis in Indonesia. The last number recorded is 150, 000 children. Their rights as children cannot be fulfilled, either from educational aspect, physiology needs or even growth and protection needs. Street children is frequently referred to children who behave freely, wildly, cannot be regulated and involve in various criminal cases. For the reasons above, these street children need to be recovered and given protection to make them return to their right way, live normally as other children and enjoy their rights as children through re-socialization program. Re-socialization program of street children at open house must be based on knowledge and self-awareness to be able to handle every challenge and obstacle experienced in daily life. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh perilaku peserta didik di wilayah perbatasan yang cenderung bersikap, berbahasa, berbudaya hingga menyukai penggunaan produk dari Timor Leste dibandingkan Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan penguatan karakter nasionalisme melalui pembiasaan (habituasi) di SMPN Silawan. Proses penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik yang digunakan oleh sekolah dalam menguatkan karakter nasionalisme peserta didik adalah melalui pembiasaan (habituasi). Melalui pembiasaaan ini, sekolah menyelenggarakan best practice berupa program dan kegiatan-kegiatan yang bervariatif untuk menguatkan karakter nasionalisme peserta didik. Adapun program pembiasaan itu meliputi upacara bendera, paskibra, penggunaan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar, menyanyikan lagu kebangsaan sebelum dan mengakiri pembelajaran, penyambutan tamu kenegaraan di wilayah perbatasan, penggunaan yel-yel kebangsaan, hingga keteladanan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa melalui program pembiasaan (habituasi) yang diselenggarakan oleh sekolah, mampu untuk menguatkan karakter nasionalisme peserta didik. Hal tersebut dibuktikan oleh perilaku dan juga aktivitas sehari-hari peserta didik yang sudah mencintai produk dalam negeri, berbahasa Indonesia dengan baik, dan benar hingga merasa sangat mencitai Indonesia.

Abstract

This research discusses about E-Learning, which is needed to balanced  Education in this modern era. There is a difference in the implementation of E-Learning in every school, what the researchers found is the evaluation system to get the results of learning the value of knowledge that is done online by using an application called Edubox. This research aimed :(1) To know the student’s response to Edubox utilization as an evaluation tool in SMP Negeri 10 Bandung. (2) To know effective IPS learning outcomes of students after using Edubox class VII SMP Negeri 10 Bandung. (3) To Know the results of the cognitive Social Studies learning of students after using Edubox in class VII SMP Negeri 10 Bandung. This research used qualitative descriptive study methods. The participant of this research is 7 random students in every class, Social Studies teachers and vice-principal as the facilities and infrastructures in the field of management Edubox. The Data collecties by interviews, observations, and documentation, while analyzing data using data reduction, data presentation, data verification. The finding shows that 1) the response of the learner, educators, schools on the existence of Edubox brought a positive impact so that the evaluation can be implemented easily. 2) Edubox presence provide change to students in affective learning outcomes such as attitudes, interests and better self-concepts. 3) Edubox can make the learning results in the form of the knowledge value of the learners increased from the previous results. Therefore, I used Edubox as Social Studied learning outcome tool.

Abstract

As part of the nation’s cultural wealth, local culture needs to be bequeathed to the younger generation through integration in school learning activities. Siri’ na pacce is a philosophy of the Bugis- Makassar tribe, one of Indonesia’s major tribes. Siri’ na pacce is local wisdom that contains noble values, like sipakatau, reso, and pacce. The manifestation of sipakatau is respect for others. The embodiment of reso is the seriousness of doing something to achieve Allah’s grace, God of the universe. Meanwhile, the expression of pacce is caring for each other and the environment. The noble values can be integrated into elementary school learning through exemplary, consistently habituation, or insert the explanation of the values to the subject matter.

Abstract

The existence of Citizenship Education in the face of the development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era is very much in line with the current digital era, namely digital citizenship based on 21st-century skills which all lead to strengthening Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in the actions and behavior of students. The purpose of this research is to provide an overview and describe the learning model of citizenship education in the digital era and to foster a skill-based understanding of student learning literacy in the 21st century. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach and data collection techniques using literature studies. The implication of this research is to form and have an impact on changing the competency demands of students in the 4.0 era that must be owned by the output and process of learning education, especially Citizenship Education.
