This study aims to examine differences in consumer behavior of generation Y and generation Z in food purchasing decisions of Japanesse food and American food. Sampling using a stratified random sampling method of 100 consumers of Japanesse food and American food in the city of Medan. The data collection method was by distributing online questionnaires to 50 Y generation respondents and 50 generation Z questionnaires. Data analysis methods in this study were T test and factor analysis test. The results of the beza T test explain that there are differences in behavior between generation Y and generation Z in decision making. The factors that influence these differences are personal and social factors that are generated based on the factor analysis test.

Zakat is an income instrument than can increase the number of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Indonesia. However, management system of zakat in Indonesia is still a lot of non-formal use of payment methods and that can not be realized properly. More people pay their zakah to zakah amil in mosque directly more than to the official institutions zakat in their city like BAZNAS. education, income, and awareness are three factors are considered to influencing the compliance of the people to make a formal payment of zakah. This research will analyze the most influencing factors and whether these three important factors can influence the people pay zakat in BAZNAS Medan. The population in this study is the people of Medan city consisting of 21 districts with random sampling system. The data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive analysis and regression analysis. The results showed that income positively affected the interest of the community to pay zakat in BAZNAS. This research is expected to help BAZNAS to increase public interest to pay zakat in BAZNAS and for can help Medan’s goverment to increase income

Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) sudah menjadi kebutuhan di zaman sekarang ini, banyak masyarakat di Indonesia yang sudah memanfaatkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dinamika perekonomian tidak terlepas dari perkembangan serta kemajuan teknologi, infrastruktur, produktifitas dan inovasi. Kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan memberikan dampak dalam kemajuan teknologi. Disruptive innovation menciptakan pasar sendiri yang berlanjut pada sektor bisnis digital (E-commerce). Perkembangan teknologi juga diiringi dengan perkembangan cara menyampaikan informasi dalam berkomunikasi sehingga aktivitas menjadi lebih cepat dengan menggunakan internet dengan aplikasi sosial media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk analisis deskriptif perkembangan E-Commerce melalui dan mengestimasi pengaruh bisnis sektor E-Commerce terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia periode 2007-2016. Data yang digunakan dalam variabel ini adalah data sekunder yang diambil dari Badan Pusat Statistik, APJII (Asosiasi Pengguna Jasa Internet Indonesia). Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan model time serries dengan tehnik OLS (Ordinary Least Square) menunjukkan perkembangan peningkatan bisnis E-commerce cukup besar dalam mendukung pertumbuhan sektor telekomunikasi dan informasi yang memberikan kontribusi sebesar 8% dari total GDP Indonesia ditahun 2016. UMKM yang menjadi tulang punggung ekonomi Indonesia juga menunjukkan potensinya untuk berperan dalam menggerakkan ekonomi digital nasional. Variabel GDP, Jumlah Pengguna internet (JPI) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi di Indonesia, begitu juga dengan Jumlah Nilai Transaksi e-Commerce (JNTE) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi pada era digital

This paper examines the effect of the application of financial technology on SMEs income in Medan. Sampling using the accidental sampling method as many as 100 SMEs in Medan. The method of data collection is by distributing online questionnaires. The method of data analysis in this study used regression analysis. The results of the analysis explain that the application of financial technology influences the income of SMEs in Medan.

The development of technology, buying and selling with conventional method or face to face method is an old habit that is starting to be abandoned by consumers. This is because ecommerce in Indonesia is growing rapidly. As of 2016 total online sales in Indonesia are around Rp 4.49 billion. The development of e-commerce will affect the existence of conventional sales. The study aims to analyze the impact of the development of e-commerce on the conventional merchants’ income. The data in this study are primary data by distributing questionnaires to clothing merchants’ in Medan central market. Data analysis methods used are simple regression analysis and sampling techniques using accidental sampling. The results showed that the development of e-commerce did not have an impact on conventional merchants’ income in Medan central market. This is caused conventional merchants’ having a strategy to survive in digital era.

This study aims to determine the effect of entrepreneurial orientation, product innovation, and competitive advantage on the marketing performance of the dodol business in the city of Padang Sidempuan. The data used is primary data with a sample of 47 SMEs in the culinary sector in the city of Padang Sidempuan. This study uses a quantitative descriptive analysis approach. Based on the results of the analysis, it is explained that partially or simultaneously entrepreneurial orientation, product innovation, and competitive advantage affect the marketing performance of the dodol business in Padangsidimpuan City.

Online business in Indonesia has increased every year. This increase makes sellers continue to innovate in promotion and sales. One way that sellers do this is by utilizing social media as a means of selling products known as social commerce. Social commerce directly invites and makes consumers make purchases. This study aims to examine the impact of social commerce on impulse buying behavior of generation Z. The method of data collection is by distributing online questionnaires to 51 respondents of generation Z. This study uses simple regression analysis to see the impact of social commerce on impulse buying behavior. Based on the simple regression test and t test, it is concluded that social commerce has an impact on the impulse buying behavior of generation Z.

The growth of social media continues to increase along with the development of information technology. Social media users have interactions via the internet. The social interactions also for business interactions between sellers and consumers. Social media like Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok are used by sellers to offer their products. This research is a descriptive research that aims to explain the trend of social commerce in generation Z. method in this research is descriptive, describing the respondents' answers with graphs that have been obtained through distributing questionnaires to 114 respondents. The results of this study indicate that social commerce is one of the media that Generation Z uses to shop online. Social media was online shopping, because consumers will get a lot of information about products from reviews and rankings of the product based on previous consumer ratings before making a purchase.

This study intended to identify and analyze website quality (webqual 4.0) and e-service quality on purchasing decisions through e-customer trust in E-Commerce Shopee. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods with accidental sampling techniques and path analysis. Samples in this study were 90 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. The test results using Partial Least Square (PLS) concluded that there was a direct effect on the quality of the website quality (webqual 4.0) on purchasing decisions, and there was no direct effect of e-service quality on purchasing decisions. There is no effect of website quality (webqual 4.0) on e-customer trust, and there is no effect of e-service quality on e-customer trust, on the e-customer trust variable there is a direct effect on purchasing decisions, then on indirect effects website quality (webqual 4.0) and e-service quality has no effect on purchasing decisions after being mediated by the e-customer trust variable.

The aim of this study is to analyze the role of financial inclusion in the digital economy era and produce financial inclusion strategies and policies in overcoming income inequality in Indonesia. The secondary data used is in the form of time series data from the TW;1:2005 to TW;4:2019 period. The data is sourced from BPS, BI and OJK, then analyzed using the 2SLS technique. The results in the first equation show that financial inclusion variables such as the number of credit accounts, the number of savings accounts (TPF) and the number of MSME loans have no significant effect on economic growth; while the number of ATM machines has a significant effect on PE, and GR has no significant effect on PE. In the second equation, financial inclusion variables such as DPK have a significant effect on GR, JKB have no significant effect on GR, and PE has a significant effect on GR.
